- Undisputed Middleweight Champion Claressa Shields and WBC Heavyweight Champion Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse participated in a media workout at Berston Field House in Flint,MI ahead of their heavyweight championship bout. Shields will rise two weight classes to challenge Joanisse at Little Caesars Arena (Detroit,MI) on July 27.
Workouts are exactly that. No one fights like they exhibit during these sessions.

Man this chick Vanessa is out classed by Clarissa from what I’ve seen in both of their previous fights. Everybody look good on the mitts and drills and shit but it always change so fast in the ring. I think Clarissa’s speed angles and combos will be too much for her opponent after the 4th and 5th, and her cardio is second to none.
I just need to make sure that Clarissa is going to be able to make Vanessa respect her power some kind of way.
