Taekyung was unable to get love since his childhood specially from his mother so he potrayed himself insensitive or wrapped himself being tough from outside bt in whole drama Taekyung has understood Minam a lot n support than others ... he was outspoken thats y he got his love at the end...Shinwoo wasn't very expressive so he left behind frm getting love...Taekyung started feel for Minam since when Go Minam deaperately search for ring which was thrown by him ... afterwards he started protecting her ... So It was Taekung first who fall first for Minam.. Shinwoo knew she was a girl after that rooftop incident bt he dint say anything n hide his feelings ... which leads him behind

Now my heart explodes every time I see Taekyung's confession scene. But each time I think he took way too much to realize how much she loves him. Still......„ You have permission to love me” line is so funny. :))) This k drama is really spicy. I would rewatch this and never get tired.

I always found it a Nice reference to the episode with the “moon is not a star” talk where Minam used a star as a methaphor for Taekyung asking if it was okay to love that star, and him unaware of the methaphor replying that she should just ASK that star for permission to love it. And now him realizing he is the star she talked about several times and that she loved him all along, he grants her that permission without her asking for it. Thereby he indirectly shows his feelings without having to state it literally because of his pride that prevents him to be that open. Unfortunately for him, she takes it way too literally and ironically is now, also quite literally, too blind to see that he used the same methaphor on her this time just like he was blind, literally and methaphorically, when she used it. So, I never took it as an arrogant intention on his side when he said it and it was actually quite sweet until she opted to be his fan and he needed to recollect his pride by this weird non-rejecting rejection. He of course sets this straight at the Airport when he is finally open about his feelings and even more so at the concert throwing away that pride that had prevented him to do so in this scene. It’s such a simple story but they executed it with so many great details and recurring methaphors. Or I’m just over analyzing it...

No. You are not overanalyzing. Your interpretation is beautiful and I feel that it is exactly what they were going for.
Their use of the metaphors is so artistic! I never encountered a tv show that has this many recurrent beautiful and effective metaphors in any other tv show.
