My daddy played the steel in church for many years until rheumatoid arthritis took over his body. He loved to play this song only a bit slower. I would sit and watch him cry because he could not hold the steel in his hand to play his music. He fought that disease for many years and then he passed away back on April 28, 2001. I know he is playing up in Heaven now.

On some computers (PC) UA-cam has a "Settings" control. Pause Mr. King. (Mr. King, Probably, won't mind, loL) Next, Open/Click "Settings". Simulates a gear or clog wheel. Select "Playback Speed > Normal". The SPEEDs will appear > slow = .25, .50, .75, etc. or fast = 1.25 to 2.00 OR if those choices are not to your likings; select "Custom" at the top of the page. I use the "Speeds" to simulate (COPY) and learn what Mr. King's chording. I like his style. He's my tutor/psg teacher. Hope this helps. Best to you. Howard

The first time i heard the pedal steel on the song was on The very best of the Happy Goodmans live Album. That album inspired me to learn the pedal steel, and Had it not been is one of my favorite songs on the album.

Certainly better than I could do, seeing that I don't own any musical instruments, but, imo, you're arrangements are too "busy", and way to many "slides" (for lack of knowing the proper term). Otherwise, somewhat enjoyable.
