quick contribution, I had a kawi charging issue on an fx6oov with about 1400 hours on it from new, and it was perplexing me, checked the voltage on everything with the multimeter and I am always prepared for the worse in mechanical failure issues. but was very pleasently suprised when all I had to do was carefully remove the flywheel and clean 5 years of dust accumulation over the stator coil and flywheel magnets that were preventing the charging system from functioning. after blowing everything out thoroughly with air and reassembling, jumped the battery and let it recharge and now its back up and running. be sure to do this before throwing expensive parts at the problem.
Had the same problem with no power to the voltage regulator. On my Gravely/Areins, there is a fuse in wiring harness tucked under the fuel filter that is for the charging circuit. It is hard to find unless you are looking for it. The fuse socket was burned up from a bad connection. Had to pull the loom loose so I could cut open the harness so I could solder and heat shrink a new fuse holder in. Works like it should now.
does anyone know ,,, i bought a husqvarna zero turn no engine wire are cut to a mess ,,, its not charging i need to know where the wires go ,, from the stator box on the side of the engine to wherever it goes from there ,, two yellow wires and a red wire where do they go > it has an amp gauge with no wires hooked to it ,,,,i have the electric clutch working and the steering safety switches working ,, but thats it have no idea where the wires go from the two yellow wires and red wire ,,where do they go ????
I don't think so, he's added a jumper wire to prove that the wire from the regulator to the battery is intermittent. Replace with a good wire that's all

excellent video where can I get the manual friend?
Great video well explained...so now I'm off to check with much more confidence that I know what to look for

I did this, it worked!
How are you keeping voltage from the battery backfeeding to the regulator while running without a diode to block battery from backfeeding?
Good job. I need to check that. .. this is good info
Thank you
Mine just keep blowing a fuse if I take the rechard sistem it stop any ideas?

Thanks I found a blown fuse!
Will the battery slowly drain by doing this? Since there is no shut off in between the battery and regulator now?

Put a Kohler Engine in and problem solved
