Kwikset SmartCode 955 Keyless Keypad Door Handle falling off. Repair setscrew.

If door handle is falling off, don't buy a new set screw until you check this out. Kwikset SmartCode 955 Keyless Keypad Door Auto Lock with Handle, Electronic Lever Deadbolt. The handle is attached in an unusual and not so obvious way. The set screw is probably still there inside. This lock uses a 3/32 allen wrench for the setscrew.

Hmmm. The set screw on my Kwikset 955 is tightened by turning it CLOCKWISE. Not counterclockwise. And my manual that was included in the box, and the manual from the Kwikset website, both show turning it clockwise, not counterclockwise, as you indicate. Now maybe you are thinking counterclockwise when looking down from the top of the handle. And that would be correct, if looking from above. But it is a clockwise, regular thread, set screw.
