Alta, Norway

Alta is the most populated municipality in Finnmark in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The rock carvings in Hjemmeluft, which bear the traces of a settlement dating from around 4,200 to 500 BC. The city offers northern lights, midnight sun, mountains, Sami culture, reindeer and UNESCO-protected rock carvings.
