Great product! Just wanted to double-check before I preorder - is it possible to control channel switching and on/off functions for my KSR Ceres and Eros using the relay switches? Also, is there any chance of adding custom MIDI translation support for the Boss MS-3 in the future? It doesn't currently receive MIDI signals, and it seems like a missed opportunity to control the unit with MIDI for automations and other features. Thanks for the info!
Shouldn’t be a problem to control your amp - trs aux/footswitch jacks of any sort will generally work. It does need to accept a normal passive ts or trs footswitch though, nothing proprietary. Regarding the MS-3, there are lots of products that we could potentially look at adding, but they would need to be in high demand, and we haven’t heard from any other MS-3 users. The ToneX One is an extremely popular and tiny pedal that is greatly improved by MIDI control, so we’ve focussed on that for now.
Can I control 2 tonex one with this, say on different channels, either with separate PCs/button or from an HX for example which is able to send multiple midi commands from a single press? Or would I need 2x of the click v2, one per Tonex one?
Hi Rob, I'll copy and paste my answer from Facebook: hi Rob, I just replied to your DM, but essentially if two T1’s can be used (yet to be confirmed) there wouldn’t be a way to distinguish between them and they both react to the same MIDI message because they don’t have MIDI, so there wouldn’t be a way to give each individual pedal a different MIDI channel.
Hi Pirate Midi, im a Tonex One user and this looks like a great product. Tentatively, when in 2025 would this come out. Which modewould the Tonex one be in when linked with the Click v2? When paired with a Tonex One, can it do up or down 1 patch at a time? Can it also select a patch out of the 20 stored on the Tonex One and jumpnfrom say Parch #2 to Patch #17? I look forward to the next video showing in action.
Forgot to ask, i think you mentioned a cutout for a display on the newest version. In relation to the Tonex one , would it give corresponding patch numbers 1 to 20 or something different?
Thanks for your question. This should be shipping in Feb or Early March - production is already started. There is no display - the cutout we referred to was an RF (radio frequency) 'window' which is just a piece of black plastic to allow the bluetooth and wifi frequencies to pass through the otherwise metal enclosure. In terms of a mode, I'm not familiar enough with the T1 itself to know what you mean specifically. But yes, you can send a MIDI message that selects an exact preset number, or use other MIDI commands to simply "preset up" or "preset down". Hope that helps!
Ordered! Stoked for the possibilities of the click v2!
Thanks for your support! Looking forward to seeing it in your hands in Feb/March!
Ordered! Can’t wait to see this with the Aero
Us too! Stay tuned for some more videos in the coming weeks!
