I'm not that old, and I agree with you. Get rid of the bunks, the bunk over cab is enough. Make a split bathroom with a decent size rectangle shower across from a porcelain toilet & sink. * Add side cameras. It's long enough to need them. * See if they can put a more comfortable sofa in without armrests, so the passenger can recline.
@@pattyolson3842 I think if you got rid of the bunks you could have theater seating and a bigger bathroom with a nice rectangular shower👍I’m just not a big fan of split bathrooms with a “come watch me shower in the hallway”😂
I agree. There are a LOT of solo travelers and couples who won’t be having a lot of overnight guests. They don’t need to build everything for families of six (or eight-10 in this case!!). At the very least they should make dinettes and bunks optional. If they dumped both, that opens up a TON more floor space. It would be possible to move things around to expand the bathroom AND have the cockpit seats recline and swivel (and if you add in a modular table that becomes a dining space for two, with lagoon tables for the sofa-allows just as many people to eat comfortably in close enough space for conversation. Also same amount of interior storage (or more), since the storage under TV would make up for those drawers under the dinette.
This is my favorite layout! I love that it has a stove. I also like the two door bathroom, 800 pound bed over the cab, that it comes with a couch and dinette, the room around the master bed, the bunks (I wish the bottom one folded up). I like the toilet space but needs to be porcelain! I'd really like side cameras. Great motorhome, at a good price (with discount).
At least they put in somewhat of a decent hanging closet. I'd add a stackable W/D or Combo instead of the bunks. As a full timer, the laundromat is a pain. DO like the E/W bed.
The overhead cabinets are quite large-so many these days don’t really have a lot of space. LOL-totally agree. My TV is on all the time-it’s even on and silenced right now while I’m watching this video-don’t ask me why. Anyway, I do watch some shows but more often than not the TV is on a news channel that I’m only half listening to while I putter around the house. Which is why they absolutely MUST have at least a TV hookup in the bedroom. Honestly, this unit sleeps up to ten people-how many people actually need that much sleeping space?? I think far more people who buy RV’s need beds for four at most. And a really comfy recliner makes for a decent bed in a pinch (I actually sleep on mine at home, and I know a LOT of others who do the same for various reasons). I would seriously think about at least making an option that eliminates the bunks AND dinette and swaps out the jack knife sofa for comfortable recliners (with high enough backs that you can rest your head-way too many RV’s don’t do that and it’s MISERABLE to recline when you have no place to rest your head). That would create a TON more floor space, which would let them enlarge the bathroom AND have cockpit seats that can recline AND swivel to create a nice sitting area (with a table for the cockpit seats and lagoon tables for the reclining seats, also a decent dining area). With the OH bunk and bedroom, there’d still be traditional beds for four, plus, again, the option of two more people sleeping in the recliners. I also think they should make the bed size optional-some of us would be happy with a queen bed if it opened up a little more walking around space. Also, Airstream has adjustable beds in a couple of their models, and I think that’s an amazing idea. A lot of folks sleep better with their heads elevated a bit for various reasons. Even if the heads could be raised manually that would be great. Gotta disagree with Andrea-I like the taller tables. It lets you put stuff on them that won’t get knocked off-when it’s level with the bed every time you fluff the covers or move around you risk clearing the tables. Also, they both apparently have cubbies, which I like-I like to have some odds and ends next to the bed and don’t like visible clutter. Obviously if the beds were adjustable that would affect access to the cubbies but still. The exterior storage is awesome. Also I like that deep storage under the bed-I wonder if an optional and removable hanging rod could be put in to make for more hanging wardrobe space if wanted. Not a bad unit, and not a bad price for it!!
Hi Matt and Andrea! I love this floor plan. My dislikes are bunks not folding up. The shower I too would have a hard time with it. No tv in bedroom but no deal breaker. Can watch tv put by the dinette. My likes are love how this Thor can sleep a lot of people. Love the bunks to have more people sleep. I like the coat closet and the pantry and the wardrobe. This is great motorhome. Thank you Matt and Andrea!
I wish they would at least offer the nice cabinets like they offer in the small Mercedes RVs. I also would want option for induction and confection w/o oven. Soft close drawers would be nice even if it was an option. Last I LOVE u shape dining room vs dinette table. So there you go.
Matt I'm gonna have to agree with both of you guys about the bedroom because them little side tables could be as useful as they could be aggravating....
❤ 800lbs over cab bunk ❤ large windows ❤ size of jack knife sofa ❤️ closet by door (broom closet?) ❤️ can use bed with slide in 😡gas fill on passenger side (I think easier on driver side) 😡mini microwave 😡bunks look tight 😡top bunk doesn’t go up All in all nice MH
Hi Matt I met you at the Michigan show and this unit is what I went to see but what is the name and model of the class A that you guys had there with the Exact floor plan
Sorry, Andrea, I disagree with you on the nightstands in this one. As a CPAP user this is THE first RV that has gotten the placement of the CPAP machine correct. I just wish other RVs would do the research and understand the importance of the placement of those machines.
I used to have the 2019 chateau 31y before I upgraded to a diesel pusher. It was a great unit. Lil different layout than the E, but over all quality was nice. Granted it was a precovid build.
Glad Andrea is back. Dislikes: no external cameras on side, twisty door locks, bunk beds, cheap looking blinds, no auto leveling (deal breaker), msrp, shower, kitchen too small (deal breaker), and window over bed where headboard should be. Likes: large rear storage bay, ccc, coat closet near door, light colored cabinets.
Bunk model not of interest for me. Storage was good. Sofa should be a 3 section and entrance should be behind the passenger seat so the seat can recline. I liked that one could sleep on the bed with the slide in. Didn’t like that it doesn’t have side cameras and. O solar panels. I think it’s overpriced.
You had better warn your customers buying that engine to drive their RV and put 40k on it before the warranty is up as all the engine problems with lifters etc are problematic and better to have them covered under warranty. And dont buy one of these engines if it doesnt have 40k on it used and have the engine inspected for damage...just went through this with my truck..im selling it after its fixed and never new about this problem until after i bought it and there are lots out there
Dislike #1- it’s a Range Hood! #2- Ford 7.3l engine. They’re having cam and lifter problems at about 30k miles. By the time most people reach that milestone they will be long out of warranty. #3- kitchen on a slide out. Tends to lead to leaks.

My humble opinion: I filled out matts cash. Got a call from Doug ruby transferred me to Alex who tries telling me the freight would be $3895 and $3995 plus the RV at the show was $97,995 for sequence 20L. I hung up on him. I don't like feeling like I am being TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF with almost $8000 freight and prep. I would only trust Matt. surely did npt leave a good taste in my mouth.i will shop elsewhere

Nice unit but I would remove the bunks for more storage or office space
Only because we are old and alone now😂the 3 things we don’t need are bunk beds, a cheap jackknife sofa and an uncomfortable backbreaking dinette😢

Welcome Back Andrea!
Hey Andres! Good to see you💕💕
Good honest review. Glad we’re not the only ones doing the tv all night thing lol. The two of you are great together!
I like the higher bedside tables!
I'm always pushing items off ours in our Thor
Absolutely love the TV position above the dinette and not on swing from the upper bunk. Sending love from Fort Worth Texas. ❤️

Thanks for sharing, I really like the tables on the side of the bed, allows for non-spill of delicious late-night beverage.
I like the height of them, too. If they’re too low your pillow could end up wearing your drink.
How many people actually use 3 burners? I don't use 3 at home. I think I would prefer 2 to have more counter space.
This is a nice one. Will remember this for later.
Like the space, kitchen ove and pantry.
My first Rv is a 2022 Thor Chateau 31EV.
At least they put in somewhat of a decent hanging closet. I'd add a stackable W/D or Combo instead of the bunks. As a full timer, the laundromat is a pain.
DO like the E/W bed.

You guys must be totally exhausted😂😂😂referring to the “hood range” and the “two-way” 12V compressor fridge😮😮😮
My pretty Andrea! 😊 we are pretty good here in VA 40’s this week.

What other unit has this floor plan with, front bunk window, slam latch doors, frameless windows, and slightly higher quality furniture?
Hi Matt I met you at the Michigan show and this unit is what I went to see but what is the name and model of the class A that you guys had there with the Exact floor plan
Replace the bunk beds with a washer and dryer
11:20 ooooo lala.. mat zip is open again... this time full view
why do you need to wear pants that can't fit you?
Are there any C Classes that have washer/dryer hookups. I've never heard them mention that. I'd rather have that than the bunks.
Anyone know how the road noise is with the Thor models?
can not see in the storage to black in side.
I like this RV one of my biggest dislike is that no TV in the bedroom I use mine like you do a night light sound machine
Something I have discovered about my Ford RV. My front license plate folds down as a step for work on the engine or front window.
Rather have a W/D than bunk beds
Sorry, Andrea, I disagree with you on the nightstands in this one. As a CPAP user this is THE first RV that has gotten the placement of the CPAP machine correct. I just wish other RVs would do the research and understand the importance of the placement of those machines.
Will you guys also review the 2023 Thor Chateau 31E? I assume the E is more higher end than the EV, but I could be totally wrong!
I used to have the 2019 chateau 31y before I upgraded to a diesel pusher. It was a great unit. Lil different layout than the E, but over all quality was nice. Granted it was a precovid build.
I like the video, because all the videos are entertaining and informative.

I like diesel super C+.
Matt……that 7” dash stereo also has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto!
👍

I was surprised this had no cameras and only one air conditioner at 32 feet.
I have those blinds and I want them gone!
no tv prepping in bed room
