The spacer sold by voro is sketchy the length isn’t enough and it comes it 2 pieces also whenever u tighten the stem it barely bites the tube basically 0 gap with one turn I bought another shim from Amazon with correct length still no bite I added half a shim still feel sketchy tho with no compression cap
Thank you so much for the video. I have a question. Is it possible to add stem riser/extender to increase bar's height? I am not sure if only the spacer is needed.
I tried to use the xtasy folding handlebars, but the twist throttle won't fit because the inner diameter is wider. The twist throttle secures to the end of the handlebar, but the locking plug isn't big enough to grip the inside of the xtacy bars. So I guess it depends on how thick the replacement bar is. Also you will need a 1&1/8" to 1" threadless reducer shim to put on a handlebar clamp to the cruiser's 1" stem.
My handlebars for some reason tilt like a almost 360 degrees on the right hand side where my display and thumb throttle are i dont understand why they move especially when i ride it is so annoying
Too bad VORO didn't make the stock "foldable" handlebars wider from the get go. I'm sure many people transport their EMove in their car and with out foldable handlebars it might be very difficult if not impossible. Voro could (should) design a longer foldable handlebar 2 end pieces
Does this handlebar modification lower the height of the handlebar? I’m 6’3” and it’s already a stretch to ride the Cruiser at its top height. Can anything be done about that?
First thing that bothered me. First mod that I did. Wide handlebar is so much better: more natural comfort, better control, easier to ride single hand, more space to fit accessories. Downside: it is more likely to touch a car in the traffic. 😬
Thank you so much for this video, this is the ONLY thing I regretted about the emove cruiser and now I know I can mod the handle bars, so stoked, great scooter
Love the new handlebar, except... Makes the scooter less transportable in the car. There’s always a trade off. Where in the UK (apart from ‘beyond Electrek’) can I buy this (and also the tool for cutting the stem)...?
I replaced the handlebar grips on my ES1 recently. To put it back on, drop alcohol into the grips, fit the handlebar in there and twist while moving it into place.
a good idea is come out with a custom bar that simply screws into the spot where the existing bars are
so then we dont have to destroy the stock bars
Can't add anything the stock handlebar because it's square & already tight.

What’s the shim called?

What’s the measurement from the deck to the handlebar? I’m 6’8” tall and need my handlebars at about 48” from the deck. Thanks

Mmm... you started out with the handlebars correctly and ended with then backwards.
'That's Crazy! You shortened the deck to handle bar height.....That's insane."
Great upgrade. Too bad voro motors doesn't even carry a plug for the cut part.
A cap should be part of the kit no idea why they didn't have that as part of the kit...it's incomplete without. 🙁
@@harryberry474 ...disastrously incomplete because water will get into the tube.
Electrical tape!
lies. no spacer kit is included. and when you ask them about it, they gaslight you and say it doesn't come with it

This modification allows you to add an adapter, so you can raise the height of the handlebars (for taller riders like you!). Thanks for watching!

And no more folding handlebars so storing it requires a wider space.

03:04 Don't crank down on the pipe cutter that much.

You can get the tool at a plumbing or hardware store.

That is an excellent alternative option. - AJ
Very detailed explanation, with accompanying video, I’m glad to know the video exists as a mod. Can’t wait to do a custom bars stem for performance
can you do this at the store for a service charge ?
Yes, we can
shoot, when the scoot almost tipped over, i reacted and almost tipped my laptop over at the bar counter. reflex: still got it at 51.
AJ I want rto swap out the handlebars on my new cruiser is there a place that does this
Thanks aj. Another great video. I ordered mine 3 days ago.
I want to buy the handlebars but can't seem to find them on your site
If you are looking for a wider thing....... mind wonders.
If you cut the handle bar ot will void the warranty
I have a shim can I just cut it and put a 31.8 setup with the new bars I don’t want to be without a scooter 🥲
The spacer size is 25.4 to 28.6 Muqzi is the name.
My dream electric kick scooter. 🤗🤗🤗
I love how you made the scooters with customization in mind
Question I want the handle bar from qualtran ultra. From minimotors.
I like how their handle bars are. Where can I find something like thsi
Hi Michael,
We will have a similar handlebar type that will be released on December. Keep an eye out for it! Super cool handlebar
i want to buy that stem adaptor im here in korea
you forget to close stem hole :)
Does this void my warranty? 🤔
What exactly you put on the top?
Oh another thing. Dose this mod void the warranty?
If you are attempting a repair and damage the parts that are covered under your warranty it will be voided.
Hi whats the size of the stem spacer?
25.4 - 28.6 you can order them online Muqzi
Cockpit its a scooter not an F-16
