What I love so so much about your home is that, for such a big and expansive house, it is so warm and inviting. Your tastes combine to a harmony that make all the difference. I am commenting from the north of Iceland, and I am taking notes on Novent to try to brighten up our very short, dark days, thank you! Takk fyrir!❤❤
Thank you so much-that really means a lot to us! ❤️ We’re so happy you feel the warmth we’re trying to create in this big, crazy house. It’s awesome to hear you’re tuning in all the way from northern Iceland-I can only imagine how dark it must be for you right now! Novent is such a cozy way to brighten up the season, and I love that you’re giving it a go. Takk fyrir for being here with us! 😊
What an Absolutely ENCHANTING ambiance you created … Architectural Digest should do a cover story on your creations or make your own book of designs….LOVED it all….Your creative process and sophisticated music is so perfect as well!! ❤from Montreal
Happy to hear you enjoyed it! On Sunday and onwards, we are turning up the dial on Christmas decor (not just Novent). Expect more tips and DIY from here until Christmas! 🎄
With your long winter days adding a conservatory would be fantastic, in new England while we can have a snowy winter,I have a mini plant area with grow lights to brighten up the day. There was a lovely greenhouse nearby I would often stop in just to smell the soil and see lush greenery and feel cool humidity. Mark Twain had a beautiful one with a fountain. It's still there in Hartford Connecticut
A conservatory sounds like such a dream, especially during those long, dark winter days! We look forward to adding one to our space one day! Your mini plant area with grow lights sounds like the perfect solution to bring some brightness into the season!
Your home is so cozy and inviting. What a lovely place to curl up with a warm drink and a good book. You both are so natural to this lifestyle. Deborah. North Carolina 😊😊❤
Kristina your taste is like mine & the Scandinavian vibe was huge in Northern Minnesota (next to Canada) where I lived for yrs! Your family is so talented! I was a lover of toxic candles until I learned how they affected our indoor air quality even without burning them & now I only use beeswax candles! Beautiful use of outdoor plants🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
Thank you so much! We have noticed that there seems to be quite the following from people living in or around Minnesota! How fun! 🤗❤️ Beeswax candles are the best!

Love your day outing looking at Christmas decorations and flowers, so beautiful. Lovely to see your decorations, so inspirational. You home is so beautifully decorated. Enjoy watching your vlogs from Canada. I went this weekend to the Swedish Christmas Fair in my City. I love going each year, lovely food and decorations were brought over from Sweden for this and the food was nice too.
Thank you so much! Your weekend at the Swedish Christmas Fair sounds like a magical experience. It's great to hear you’ve found inspiration in our vlogs-it means so much to us! We love sharing our home and our adventures, and it's even better knowing it resonates all the way in Canada. Wishing you lots of festive cheer and maybe a plate of Swedish treats to enjoy this season!
Another fabulous, well thought out, fimed and edired video. Has your home ever featured in a magazine because if not, why not ?!! Your taste is impeccable. Thankyou for sharing your knowledge and special moments ❤❤
Please consider some battery operated candles in the dried flower arrangements. That pedestal could be dangerous too. Take every precaution you can . I loved the metal hanging ceiling fixture with mirrors it was gorgeous! Consider filming an episode for "Homeworthy" yout tube. This gives those vibes for me. Just beautiful
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment and suggestions! Battery-operated candles are a great idea for dried flower arrangements-we’ll definitely keep that in mind. Safety first! 😊 And you’re so right about the pedestal; we’ll make sure it’s secure and safe. The mirrored ceiling fixture really is something special, isn’t it? So glad you loved it! And “Homeworthy” vibes-what a huge compliment! We're not sure what setup the Homeworthy team has for filming their videos. We've seen a few of them and they are really nicely produced! Thanks again for watching and for sharing your ideas! ❤️✨
@SwedishManorLife you definitely could show your home there! I don't know either the format or I'd it's member driven or what but I think yours would be a showcase. Lovely video, Kristina's ideas are so inspiring to me. Out into the woods I go. Karl, what a nice tutorial about lighting interiors. I am very sensitive to brightly lit from above rooms. We have tiny directed tracks in our home and use sconces also. But so many homes these days are lit from above and with very bright light, it is overstimulating and uncomfortable. As we exit those homes, my husband's first comment is always about the bright lighting!

Phillip just a heads up from a nerd, if you printed the lampshade in PLA just be careful with the maximum bulb heat, if high it can remelt the plastic. Might wanna consider PETG or ABS filament but you’ll need to enclose your printer to do them.
Thank you so much for your kind words! ❤️ We're so glad the decorating ideas resonated with you-it's all about creating a cheerful, inviting space to enjoy during the season. And we feel incredibly grateful for this life and the opportunity to share it with all of you. Thanks for being a part of our journey! 🙏😊
Your home is wonderfully cosy, I love your taste, can I ask do you prefer not to use curtains especially in the wintertime? It warms the rooms…. Or is it just us English that do this, my rooms feel bare without them.
So that tracklight system, do you have the different lights/bulbs on different settings, or..? Like, you said one was used as the floodlight, and others as spotlights, and one on 5, another on 80...? Sorry, I have not looked at tracklights in 20 years+ 😂
We run different lenses in them. One group (controlled and dimmed separately) will have the flood lights. And another group will have narrow beams (ie other lenses). And so on ☺️
Completely unrelated, my mom was Swedish with a family of ten children, can you explain why my uncle's took on the name of their father Peter in succession of each passing. Simply to carry the father's name? My grandpa would always sing swedish songs when I was little sitting next to a coal fed stove in the kitchen. In the pantry my grandmother would always have a treat jar . My grandpa made furniture in Michigan. . another habit if his was to sip coffee with lots of milk from the saucer through a sugar cube in his mouth. Must have had a sweet tooth.
OMG Dry branches and candles an accident waiting to happen 😮 please be careful , I have seen how Christmas’s trees burn in 3 minutes one big 🌲 tree becomes a big torch . I would reconsider , candles are beautiful and create a nice atmosphere, but consider the danger
My German friends used to have the tradition of putting real candles on their Christmas tree each year to light it. I used to panic when I went to their home at Christmas. I’ve started myself using battery operated ones.
I am not getting how you almost pay nothing with LED when in France the cost difference is not significant enough to all evening keeping your house lighting. Maybe our aaled are different
For the sake of making ourselves understood, we'll stick with English for you! But we appreciate your interest in learning some Swedish 😉 Thank you for following along!
Thanks for sharing the idea of "Novent" with us.
Too many Americans start decorating for Christmas far too early, and this is a nice alternative.

I think you’re commenting on the wrong video 🤗😉 We’re Kristina & Karl, not Anna & Philipp 😘
So sorry! I scanned the qr on the youtube and it took me to your comment section my mistake 😅
Why are you commenting on Phillips plastic lamps on this youtube channel. Why not on Phillip and Anna’s youtube channel?????
Lots of great ideas for decorating to make the home more cheerful and inviting. What a wonderful life you have. Thank you.❤️🙏
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Thank you! We have them in certain rooms. But not in all. It’s not a seasonal thing - it depends on what to highlight in each room ☺️
And so on ☺️
Är det Ulriksdals slottsträdgård du var på?
Ja precis!
Are these real grapes? How long are they gonna last? Are you slowly picking and eating them? I’m just asking out of curiosity :)
The grapes are real ☺️ It’s perfectly placed next to a cheese platter - and yes, Karl started eating the decor the minute he saw it 😂
I would be tempted to eat the display also, always can replenish
Exactly!👍🏻
Completely unrelated, my mom was Swedish with a family of ten children, can you explain why my uncle's took on the name of their father Peter in succession of each passing. Simply to carry the father's name? My grandpa would always sing swedish songs when I was little sitting next to a coal fed stove in the kitchen. In the pantry my grandmother would always have a treat jar . My grandpa made furniture in Michigan. . another habit if his was to sip coffee with lots of milk from the saucer through a sugar cube in his mouth.
Must have had a sweet tooth.
De små ljuskronorna måste sänkas lite lägre så ni inte bränner ner huset.
Nejdå. De sitter på behörigt avstånd ☺️
Safety first, of course! We are careful and never leave candles unattended!
I am not getting how you almost pay nothing with LED when in France the cost difference is not significant enough to all evening keeping your house lighting. Maybe our aaled are different
Modern LEDs are very cost-efficient to run compared to older LEDs, not to mention halogens etc.
I wish you guys would speak Swedish sometime, you sound so American! Love your vlog! Thank you.
I don’t find that, I am Canadian and love her accent, sweet
For the sake of making ourselves understood, we'll stick with English for you! But we appreciate your interest in learning some Swedish 😉 Thank you for following along!
smukt
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Så mysigt avsnitt. 🤎🩷🤎
Vad kul att du uppskattade det! 🤗
