Leonard Cerullo MD, Discusses Pituitary Tumors

In today's video Dr. Cerullo provides an introduction to pituitary tumors. He describes where they're located and the challenges that result from their proximity to the optic nerve and carotid artery. He also educates us on the various classifications of pituitary tumors based upon size and whether or not the tumor is secreting or non-secreting. Symptoms related to pituitary tumors can also be varied and complex - Dr. Cerullo provides a general outline of the most common of these symptoms.

I have a pituitary tumor Acromegaly. I was just diagnosed in November. The tumor is 15mm and I will need brain surgery.

i have been sick 7 years this year ive been on the same meds and my doctor will not discuss surgery :( they are 2 at 4 mms non cancerous

Hello, thanks for the video. A friend of mine has a carotid tumor and they need to biopsy it....they said they need to do a tracheotomy when doing the biopsy. Is this standard....do you know why a trach would need to be done with a biopsy in this area????

How did it turn out? Praying for you. I just had surgery 6 days ago. I cannot breathe at all out of my nose. Fkn sucks but it'll heal and pass. Just gotta be strong
