I was 33 years old and diagnosed with an astrocytoma glioma brain tumor in my left parietal lobe in December 1995. I was born left handed and through a W.A.D.A. procedure it was discovered I'm almost totally right brain dominant for cognitive functions, and speech. I have a little bit of short term memory in my remaining left parietal lobe I had the tumor remove, then a 6-week regimen of radiation treatments at Tripler Army Medical center in Honolulu Hawaii; I was active duty Army at the time. I came back to the mainland and had chemotherapy at the VA medCente at Duke university in Durham NC with the then three most commonly used brain tumor chemo drugs. Statistically, I should have died; I'm a deads man typing. I encourage anyone facing a cancer diagnose to fight and pray.

Dr. Chrisopher Duma in Newport Beach California has developed a Gamma Knife Procedure where he gets the tumor tract that the glioma is expected to spread. He has patients living for over ten years. He is the go-to neurosurgeon that I am aware of. UA-cam him and see what he does.

It’s far more likely to be something that is not a brain tumour. Tell your parents so you can be checked out. It’s a shame to waste time worrying about having a tumour when it could just be a migraine. Most people will feel pain if they shake their head, your brain is floating in fluid to stop it being damaged by hitting your skull which is hard. When you shake your head you are causing your brain to bounce off that hard boney skull. Please don’t worry, tell your mum or dad that you are worried you are going to be fine. Best wishes from the UK

I mysellf was born with tumors on the back of my head. the tumors are all over the back of my head. I had them removed twice. I had them removed back in 1994. Of course they did grow back and I had them removed again in the year 2000. Less than a year later them came back. I do not remember what the Doctor said they were, however I do remember that the Doc. said that I was one of the Lucky ones because they are grow out. If they were growing in they world be cancer like.
