Read a comment from another viewer on another site, claimed he was scanning books at a Goodwill and a worker came out and said we have one of those in the back that we scan books with also.
100% I have discovered it's location based so for example my closet one scans but my next closest one does not. You can tell by the quality of what's out on the shelves. Unfortunately this is the reality of what's going on out there.
I haven’t seen one of those finger scanners before. I am one of those who does use my phone, just the eBay app. It has a barcode scanner in it, but here in Australia not everyone enters the UPC codes, so for best results I type it in. Yes it is slow.
I need to find a bulk source I'm in texas There is a ministry thrift shop near me that has alot of gaylords of books but they claim they have a "online function" I don't know where else to find gaylords of books This the first place I've seen with so many gaylords of books except the Goodwill bins
So true with thrift stores. A lot of mine seriously jacked up their prices after the 2020 lock down...zoinks. And, yes, so true about thrift stores closing. It's not a sustainable business model in expensive urban areas where commercial leases are crazy expensive.
My refund rate so far this year is at about 17%, way higher than it's ever been for the same time span. No wonder my February payouts have been horrible.
I've never used a scanner other than the Amazon Seller app. Just can see value based on design, font, publisher, subject matter, etc. I wouldn't go huffing and puffing though if there were nothing...especially not in a Goodwill. Rarely ever found anything there outside of the bins, but that's unscannable stuff
How much to obtain all of that knowledge you have in that head of yours!! Lol nothing beats experience and knowledge with books you are a scanner just the human type kind of like the Terminator!!

all of these are valid reasons. Having bulk sources allows you to work more often on your own terms
Yep its tough to understand how important bulk sources are when you start out and think thrift stores are your only chance.
Congratulations on breaking 3k subscribers for your channel!🎉🎉🎉🍾🍾🍾
Yay!!! Onward to 3 million!!
Great video! where can I bulk buy from?
ANYWHERE!! Libraries, Thrift Stores, FB, Craigslist, Nextdoor!!

Auctions, libraries, schools. The opportunities are endless think outside the box.

Yep we are living in crazy times!!

That's crazy high I need to check mine I will report back.
@@TheUsedBookGuy Knowing how everything you touch turns to gold, lol, it's probably at zero percent.
@@GoldAndSilver988 LMAO 6.67% for me 22 total refunds with an average refund amount of $12.50
@@TheUsedBookGuy I was close to correct.
@@GoldAndSilver988 I do put my signature that is worth $1000s inside every book maybe thats why return rate is low!!
You are missing out on easy money if you are not using buyback sites.
I agree!! That's why I use buyback stores instead!!
Do you still use scoutiq?
Switched to Scoutly since it has an FBA/FBM feature that makes it a lot easier as a full timer who needs to FBM heavily.
Time to start doing bulk eh
Just get the beak wet and have a few consistent bulk sources like libraries and everything will be fine!!

Do you still scan every book or do you just pick out ones that look like they have potential?
I feel like I have developed a decent knowledge of what is worth scanning. I'd say I'm probably scanning 85% of the books, 90% CDs and 50% DVDs.
Like me some Kix. Seen em twice.
Shoulda bought all the CDs at the concerts you'd be retired off it today!!
