    LOVE the idea of using fully weighted dummy rounds! Just ordered some. Learn something new every day.

    The paper shim is genius

    Good video. Best investment I made for dry practice has been the dry fire mag and airsoft guns. I can definitely tell I track sights and dots way easier after spending time with the airsoft guns

    I suggest reps where you prep the trigger to the wall and release rather than squishy trigger because trigger prep is important. I'm not convinced squishy trigger is as useful, but I'm certain trigger prep is.

      I actually disagree slightly. I would say trigger prep is the least important thing I want to practice. I want to make sure my grip is solid enough to accept and trigger press, and be sure my sight is where I'm looking. The squishy trigger allows me to put the full spectrum of inputs into the trigger to verify I have the grip I want. I appreciate your input man. I just disagree.

      @KineticConsulting No worries about disagreeing, you're focused on something different and I probably didn't pick that up.

      Trigger prep can be useful in bullseye shooting. But if you want to be fast and accurate, it’s extremely helpful to be able to pull the trigger fast without moving the gun. This is very common with top uspsa shooters.

      @@Zvbosch I may have miscommunicated. Trigger prep is mandatory in all shooting, less important up close where pointing and slapping the trigger is acceptable. If I remember correctly, he's working on his grip to compensate for a faster trigger pull or what's called slapping the trigger where you blow through the entire press quickly. At longer range you'll want to take up the slack during draw and between shots so you have the fastest splits, but still have acceptable accuracy, does that make sense? My recommendation was based solely on my misunderstanding that he was working on grip and not trigger control fundamentals.

      @@jatollar I’m not big into trigger prep except when I have time for longer range precision shots and the gun is already on target. I don’t prep trigger until I’m on target. I prefer practicing coming all the way off the trigger and pulling it all the way through. That’s how I’ve been trained by better shooters than me and it’s helped me out a ton.

    You mentioned the mantis, but what are your thoughts on the dry fire mag?

    • @KineticConsulting
      @KineticConsulting  Місяць тому +1

      @@Spanishproject123100 I don't agree with it since it doesn't actually simulate my trigger. It simulates the dry fire mag.

      For what it's worth, i prefer the dry fire mag to the shim. 🤷‍♂️

      I purchased a Glock blowback BB gun to simulate but the trigger pull is really different. That’s what I like about the Blackbeard. The new set fire mags come with additional springs to get closer to the Glock trigger I may try one out

      Weird. I've had a few people already use it and it worked. Try it one more time. KINETIC

      @@KineticConsultingah gotcha, may have been a brain fart on my end but I swear the code was spelled “KINETC” in the video description previously. Thanks!

    My issue is proper technique so I don't develop bad habits.
