Thanks to this video, I ordered one and have been using it for the past week on my X-T50. It's slim and lightweight design makes me want to carry the camera everywhere. As a beginner, it puts less pressure on me to take the perfect shot so I can focus more on composition.
My apartment building burned recently so I cannot access to my place where all my lenses are stored. I need a lens for my next trip and I think this sounds like the perfect deal.
For some reason I ended up watching this multiple times at night at my big tv. Idk why you refused to record a video with this lens but the music and the night scenes add so much to to this atmosphere. Love it! 💙 I ordered a cheap china lens similar to this one (sadly without oreo but M4/3) after having used the 7artisans 18mm MK2 and still feeling like the distortions at the borders still could be bigger or give an even more cheaper look than that. Hope it does when it arrives in probably 2-3 weeks so wish me luck xd
@@cleverghostchiliI got one from aliexpress and to be honest, it's worse than the 7artisans 18mm lens, although to be fair I use a micro four thirds camera (GH6) xd. Can't really judge it though for it's price, maybe there are better alternatives out there made with better quality. Do you have any videos where you show footage made with this lens specifically? The few photos that are very small shown in your video for a few seconds don't really show a lot of it (your aspect ratio makes it even harder considering no picture is stretched to the entire frame of the screen to make a fair judgement), and to be honest I would usually be genuinely hateful towards videos about lenses that don't show something at all that was made with this lens (which is kinda misleading?) since it's so frustrating as sooo many youtubers do this, but I simpy couldn't dislike your video bc of it being so wonderfully made. 💙
What are your thoughts on canon C70's image quality compared to sigma fp, bmcc6Kff and even the recent lumix's s5iix? Would be great if you could share any experience with these? thank you
S5 looks similar to bmcc6kff, blackmagic better texture. And more 3d cinematic depth from shadows and highlights which also feels better than the lumix and canon c70, but the c70 has better colors and sharpness. The c70 I think has a very clean professional look that will look better than the blackmagic for commercial work(very subjective). Canon c70 also best dynamic range. Sigma has the best color science and texture of them all, mediocre dynamic range, most contrast and 3d depth. For professional work I’d choose blackmagic or canon. For a narrative film I’d choose blackmagic or sigma. It gets very subjective here, I think the sigma has much more contrast and better colors and unique look, very cinematic looking, the blackmagic has better highlights very noisy shadows poor lowlight and in some shots really look like Arri cameras, particularly when filmed inside. Sharper and cleaner than sigma. Sigma visuals feels heavier and substantial, blackmagic feels lighter, biggest reason I’d choose the sigma is for textures, the texture can be painterly on the blackmagic but sometimes plasticky in certain cases. Lumix fantastic camera for anything but for image quality chasers will leave you wanting more. Canon c70 for professional look. Blackmagic if you want something closer to Arri minus the texture. Sigma if you want a unique heavier look. Sigma overall closest to something you’d see from a modern film today imo
I have often found great results from not using a lens at all
now thats how to be a real film maker
the 100% Cinebloom
I hate April fools day, but I love you!
can't wait for the double-stuffed version
Oreo 2x anamorphic

You have me all hot and bothered

sorry to hear that, this lens is quite fun and I'm sure you'll have a great time with it as well
It took me a bit to understand it's April's fools and a bit more to understand this was part joke, part true 😅
Only slightly sarcastic

2-3 weeks! Well once it arrives I can't imagine anyone not having fun with the images especially when it costs less than a thunderbolt cable, enjoy!

I just picked up one of these today, 22-7-2024. Great little fun lens.
Fun should be foremost affordable

Thx. I actually placed a huge order for France because we could not put our hand on it for months.
I thought you guys would have macarons
@@cleverghostchili macarons are your next vidéo !!!

The crazy part I was actually sold. Goes to show how good you are at filming and "marketing" lol
