It is because it undergoes a process of purification and refinement to remove any harmful substances and add some beneficial minerals such as iodine. 1. Purity Issues: The NaCl formed may contain impurities from incomplete neutralization, excess NaOH (a strong base), or HCl (a strong acid), both of which are highly harmful to consume. 2. Uncontrolled Reaction: In a lab setup, it is hard to control the exact stoichiometric proportions of HCl and NaOH. Any slight imbalance could leave leftover acid (HCl) or base (NaOH), which can be corrosive and toxic to the human body. 3. Non-Food Grade Chemicals: Lab-grade HCl and NaOH are not food-grade chemicals and may contain contaminants or heavy metals, which make the resulting salt unsafe for consumption.

0:55 because if their is some remaining amount of HCL or NAOH is present the salt becomes acidic or basic which can harm our body or organs including mouth 😊😊
Sea water contains many salts mixed in it one of these salts is the common salt. When sea water is allowed to stand in shallow pits, the water gets heated by sunlight and slowly turns into water vapour through evoporation. In a few days the water evoporates completely leaving behind the solid salt. Common salt is then obtained from this mixture of salt by further purification.
NaOH and HCl should be mixed in a fixed proportion but due to your physical method the proportion is not correct so in that salt there must be extra HCl or Extra NaOH
Because the reaction gets to a stage called equilibrium where no more concentration of products increase Therefore there will be some naoh still left and thus making the salt inedible because of naoh
This salt is highly concentrated in sodium, which can cause dehydration, irritation of the mouth, and a strong, unpleasant taste when eaten directly in large amounts. It can also overwhelm your taste buds and cause discomfort High sodium intake directly from this salt can lead to spikes in blood pressure and put a strain on the kidneys.

The actual answer is "Limiting Reagent". The proportion of NaOH and HCl must be accurately same which cannot be done with hand. That's why it is made in industry. Therefore, in that prepared salt, there must be either NaOH (Strong Base) or HCl (Strong Acid) leftovers. Both are harmful to body.
its purest from of salt..dumb😂😂😂 its not for eating because we can't eat pure salt so some important minerals is added to salt to reduce its concentration
Hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide are both strong chemicals that can be harmful if ingested. When combined, they neutralize each other to form sodium chloride (common table salt) and water. However, the resulting sodium chloride is not suitable for direct consumption for several reasons: * Impurities: The sodium chloride produced from this reaction might contain impurities or byproducts that could be harmful to consume. * Strong concentrations: The reaction often involves high concentrations of acid and base, which can result in a sodium chloride product that is too concentrated for safe consumption. * Lack of essential nutrients: While sodium chloride is necessary for human health, it should be consumed in moderation and as part of a balanced diet. The sodium chloride produced from this reaction does not contain other essential nutrients found in natural table salt. Therefore, while the end product of the reaction between hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide is sodium chloride, it is not recommended to consume it directly due to the potential health risks associated with impurities, high concentrations, and lack of essential nutrients.
