It is because it undergoes a process of purification and refinement to remove any harmful substances and add some beneficial minerals such as iodine. Edible salt is also tested for its quality and safety
Moreover if we purify the salt by evaporating the water, we may still end up with some impurities that are not visible to the naked eye so that's why we cannot eat the salt directly

    1. Purity Issues:
The NaCl formed may contain impurities from incomplete neutralization, excess NaOH (a strong base), or HCl (a strong acid), both of which are highly harmful to consume.
    2. Uncontrolled Reaction:
In a lab setup, it is hard to control the exact stoichiometric proportions of HCl and NaOH. Any slight imbalance could leave leftover acid (HCl) or base (NaOH), which can be corrosive and toxic to the human body.
    3. Non-Food Grade Chemicals:
Lab-grade HCl and NaOH are not food-grade chemicals and may contain contaminants or heavy metals, which make the resulting salt unsafe for consumption.

Sea water contains many salts mixed in it one of these salts is the common salt. When sea water is allowed to stand in shallow pits, the water gets heated by sunlight and slowly turns into water vapour through evoporation. In a few days the water evoporates completely leaving behind the solid salt. Common salt is then obtained from this mixture of salt by further purification.

This salt is highly concentrated in sodium, which can cause dehydration, irritation of the mouth, and a strong, unpleasant taste when eaten directly in large amounts. It can also overwhelm your taste buds and cause discomfort High sodium intake directly from this salt can lead to spikes in blood pressure and put a strain on the kidneys.

The actual answer is "Limiting Reagent". The proportion of NaOH and HCl must be accurately same which cannot be done with hand. That's why it is made in industry. Therefore, in that prepared salt, there must be either NaOH (Strong Base) or HCl (Strong Acid) leftovers. Both are harmful to body.

Hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide are both strong chemicals that can be harmful if ingested. When combined, they neutralize each other to form sodium chloride (common table salt) and water.
However, the resulting sodium chloride is not suitable for direct consumption for several reasons:
    * Impurities: The sodium chloride produced from this reaction might contain impurities or byproducts that could be harmful to consume.
    * Strong concentrations: The reaction often involves high concentrations of acid and base, which can result in a sodium chloride product that is too concentrated for safe consumption.
    * Lack of essential nutrients: While sodium chloride is necessary for human health, it should be consumed in moderation and as part of a balanced diet. The sodium chloride produced from this reaction does not contain other essential nutrients found in natural table salt.
Therefore, while the end product of the reaction between hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide is sodium chloride, it is not recommended to consume it directly due to the potential health risks associated with impurities, high concentrations, and lack of essential nutrients.

Jo NaCl (salt) reaction ke baad banta hai, woh directly solution ke form mein hota hai, aur usme aur bhi chemicals ya impurities ho sakte hain jo reaction ke dauran mix ho gaye ho. Isiliye, ise purify karna zaroori hota hai taaki wo harmful substances hatt jayein aur sirf safe, clean salt rahe jo hum kha sakte hain.
Direct reaction ke salt ko bina purification ke consume karna unsafe ho sakta hai.

It is not edible because it may contain some residual amount of hydrochloric acid or solidified caustic soda. Also according to the government consumption of pure salt is banned and the salt which we eat contains sodium salts along with iodide salts to maintain iodine levels in our body

The reaction produces sodium chloride (table salt) and water, there could be impurities or unreacted chemicals that could make it unsafe to consume.

Kyonki jaruri nhi ki dono chemical puri tarha neutralize ho gye ho.
Ho sakta thoda NaOH reh gya ho ya ho sakta h thoda HCl reh gya ho.
Agar dono me se koi bhi ingest kiya to bahut harmful hoga

The salt formed by this reaction is not edible because
    * Safety: Both NaOH and HCl are strong chemicals that can cause burns and other injuries if not handled properly.
    * Purity: It is difficult to ensure that the sodium chloride produced at home is pure and free of impurities.
    * Food safety: Food-grade sodium chloride is produced under strict quality control standards to ensure that it is safe for consumption.😅

Kyuki uske liye reaction ka percentage yield 100% hona chahiye. Par koi bhi reaction 100% yield nahi deta . To usme avivi acid aur base ke components hai

    Is called sendha namak.
After iodised the salt is ready to sell by the different companies.
