In this sewing video, I wanted to share with you my experiment using tracing paper as a garment toile. It worked better than I hoped. Although I would only use this method for small pattern adjustments I was really pleased with the outcome!

Great vlog Jane - I use Swedish tracing paper on occasions, like you for small hacks and it does work really well plus you can use the pattern pieces as well. I use calico that I buy by the bolt from Empress Mills for full muslins 👍😁
Hi Lynne, I just realised that I have a full bolt of calico from my shop days .... found it in the pile of fabrics so I plan to use it for future toiles ... always learning! Jayne x

Well done you!! I ordered some of the same tracing paper, and traced out a few patterns with it. It works well , doesn’t it?
As for the neckline hack, you sound very much like me!! I’ve made a few Carson dresses, but the neckline is a bit low for winter wear. I hacked the pattern, and made the neckline higher. At the back, I split the pattern into two halves, added seam allowances, and a button finish!!! Love it!!! I definitely want to make more!!!! 😀👗✂️
