I always loved hunting with a dog. Raised and hunted hounds for many years. But, finally got too old, 76, can't play tough of war in the woods anymore. But buy, watching you're dogs is sure heart warming. Great vid, from the US.

He's faster, he can fight indefinitely, he doesn't get tired, your only option is to kill him. The Chinese use it to fight Kangals and Tibetan Mastiffs. In dogfighting, only the bully kuta equals him.

@@iang-lb7nx So how would you recommend dealing with feral pig problem - please don't suggest poisoning. My cousin is losing 15 - 20% of his newborn lambs to feral pigs and it's increasing. With no natural predator the pigs are denuding the fragile forests in Australia and are major contributors to the ravaging Die-Back disease decimating the trees. It's easy to make disparaging remarks when you're not personally affected.

Its a good idea to have them. But they are not impenetrable. Had a tusk go straight through one and into my dog. Dog was fine though. Any bigger of a boar and it woulda done real damage

Catch dogs are fearless. To go tooth to tusk at high speed and overwhelm and dominate something as aggressive and dangerous as a wild pig is an amazing feat. Love the dog work

Best one was the boar runs up to the Ute an the Hunter grabs his gun an runs away huhuhu. Live for this stuff.
He was actually loading the gun. The dogs had bailed the boar up, I'd gone up to film it and it broke back towards the car. I remember when my rhodesian ridgeback pitt coss dad which was full blood ridgebackwe gt on two thathad been cut young so you knowthe size we were doing battle with . Any waylong story short my dogs dad wascut in his esophagus and aftermy friends vet sowed him up.we were out at the kenne checking on him one mouning my friend thought it best to not let him suffer there were 4 of us but i was elected to mx the sht to ut him down . We left the door open on his pen when we come outwe all seen dex jump up in thedog trailer make 360 laydown and lay his head down so you cant tell me they dont love hunting

A Dog is what you make it to be ! Just like a pitbull people make them fight so that's what they do. But there are good pits my niece gets some bad ones and turns them in to good dogs ! And they are lovable dogs !were there not put down ! So like I said it's what the owner wants him to do then he thinks that it's ok " and does it. But if you don't have him doing it he knows nothing about them things. It's not good though because if you get the wright Pigs you can lose you dog ! And then he's dead. No more Dog. I would rather keep my dog alive to especially if it means anything to you. Dogs are almost like humans and they have lives too ! That's what she's saying. It's a shame that people fight them pitbulls dogs and then they get caught then they want to put them down and kill them and that's not right for the dog my niece has saved a lot of them from that happening to them and turns them into a good dog. Some people don't care about the dog or they would not do them things and not turn them in to a bad dog. That's what she's trying to say. Like me.

What breeds do you prefer? I heard APBT are great, Dogo ARGENTINA and blue Lacy are the best.

Dogo argentino’s were created to preserve a now extinct breed but to also hunt large game more specifically wild bore and mountain lions I’ll never have a different breed..

Cane Corse! There bite force is at 700 psi. Average weight for male is 99-110lbs but the American Cane Corse is somewhat bigger, mines 150lbs. Statue is 24-28in tall at the shoulder (62cm to 70cm) good for tracking too

@@zinx1427 1 on 1 a boar could savage a dog with its greater bulk, strength and its razor sharp Cutters. they are formidable creatures and when cornered, instinctively know how to be aggressive. Only a pack of dogs can prevail but even then, some of the dog pack can suffer major damage.

Good stuff. I'm not a dog hunter but I have a dog thats part Catahoula and I can see his hog dog instincts when he plays with me or my other dog its like he's dodging a tusk sometimes avoiding us.
As an American farmer, the constant battle with wild boars and other wild animals is exhausting, but its a testament to our resilience and dedication to protecting our livelihoods.
Where I grew up hunting (New Zealand) pigs were treated as an asset more than a pest, although they were fairly “pesty” at times. Australia however was a whole different story. Especially in the crops, sugar cane, sorghum etc.. There’s a whole heap of pigs in Australia.. did a few hints in LA and TX, nice folks down thataway.
Many people say hunting is cruel, but those dogs look pretty happy.

Depends on the hog and how aggressive it is and how much experience the dog has and some breeds have a natural instinct to grab on while others have a natural instinct to bay up (bail up).
That black and white bulldog is great. Every clip of him is pure confidence and aggression. Zero hesitation. Great pups and vid man.
My Borzoi (wolf hunting dog from Russia) is the best pig dog we have. Enormous speed, always grabs the nose and leans back…never lets go.

I own different terriers and they are calculated hunters. Two wire fox terrier, 1 strafford bull terrier, 1 Airedale Terrier. The wirefox Terrier and Airedale Terrier are the best tracking dog in the world. They are intelligent. The wire fox immobilize the hog while the Airedale and strafford bull terrier are the tanks. My strafford terrier makes quick work of hogs and coyote. These are my prize hunting dogs and I love them. I rescued the strafford terrier and got it as a pup, and paid full price for the rest of my terrier ($1000.00 or more) . I always tell people that owning big hunting dogs does not mean you are better off. You need brain and power. Dogo are great dogs and my best friend uses him but sometimes they are impatient and get seriously injured. I found a great team and wouldn't trade it for any other breed.

@@ottoilyasova1071 best dogs I ever got were free. Go to your local shelter and there are several pitbull terrier. They are loyal to you and would kill a hog like nothing. You usually need 2 or more to prevent your dog from getting hurt. Dogo are great but I have notice they are a little impatient and I fear they could get severely hurt in the process. They try to use there raw power to overpower there opposition. You need a good tracking dog too. My favorite dog is the Florida cracker cur because they are good for all aspect of hunting. The Florida cracker cur is the ultimate hunting dogs as it a track of all trades.
@Basfordiron I just added a Louisiana catahoula leopard dog and a bloodhound as they were in the pound and wow these dogs are awesome the blood hound Is a great tracking dog. Plummer terriers are great dogs, never had the pleasure to work with one but a guy I know uses it to kill barn rats. He swears by it. Terriers are my favorite. You could never go wrong with any terriers.
After reading comments about someone hunting in flip flops, i watched the video 3 times and didnt see anyone wearing flip flops. There was a guy carrying what may have been a shoe or pair of shoes around the water. Even if someone was wearingcflip flops, its possible that he was the one driving the vehicle and maybe had to render aid or help andvwas not expecting too have to help. These situations can change in the blink of an eye. I have a friend that lives a little drive south of me and they have wild hogs come up on to their property.... like almost up on the porch especially if they dont close the gate when they go to town. . The hog population is astronomical and they can severely damage your crops, and really tear up your fences.....they literally will eat almost anything.
I can neither confirm nor deny and I don't. think facts come into some people's comments but I'd say there's a high chance someone had flip flops, hunted with a few people in Australia who didn't wear shoes at all :D
