I have a silver 2013 with manual transmission and my wife has white 2015 with the automatic. We love these vehicles very much, I’m planning on selling my 2013 to use as a down payment on a new 2020 turbo model. I’m very excited!
I have a 2013 and am picking up a 2016 this weekend. They're offering me 0% (I have 2.9% now), and an upgrade package at a squidge lower monthly pmt than I am now. It comes at a good time, because I need an alignment and new tires, saves me about $750.00 in maintenance costs too. As soon as the 2014 came out and I saw it, I was like "Doh!" - the style is much sharper - can't wait !
I've had 2 2014 and now have a 2013, didn't want to go backwards but now that everybody knows it's an awesome suv they are expensive even used ones! I prefer my 2014 but the 2013 isn't horrible.my 2013 is a ! so the interior is a upgrade from my 2014s. The 2013 seems lighter in weight especially in the doors and a good gust of wind may blow me to Kansas! All I'm all I LOVE Kia Soul!! Both 2014 were totaled I wrecks, both not my fault and THANKFUL yo be alive from them! Praying the 3rd times a charm and NO MORE wrecks!
This car the 2013 soul [top of the line bought it 3 years ago it was salvaged. It is the best car I ever owned and my 1st was a 1955 ford so I have had many cars but this car is great on gas and very very quick.I love this car I'm a soul man!!! Handles great smooth ride and very quiet sometimes I think the car is off it is so quiet.
Had a choice between a more optioned 2013 kia soul (2.0 engine, sunroof, etc) with 90,000 miles and.a base model 2014 soul with 125,000 miles. Loved the interior and body on the 2014, but picked the 2013 with the more options and lower miles.
The old model looks better. Also, one of the best features of the Soul has been the great interior space for such a small car. The 2014 model now has less head/leg room than before. For this, Kia has bumped up the price 20-30%.
I like both the interior of the '13 makes me less fearful of fingerprints where as that glossy black plastic is more than likely a finger print magnet. I wish it could have had the best of both worlds.
Just a bought a 2015 Soul Exlaim in Fathom Blue with the Umber leather interior, the sun and sound package and the "whole shebang" package. It is a very comfortable car. I like the look of the older car somewhat better, but overall, it seems the body shell is identical, and only the front and rear fascias have been changed.
+Robert Bell Body shell is completely different, not a single body panel swaps between the generations...they appear similar, but are not....and I agree, i like the 2013 better....

Cool to see these side by side. The newer one looks more sporty and substantial but I still prefer the smart cheery looks of the 13. The interior is no contest though, the 14 blows the 13 away. Looks like they tweaked the color and paint too. The 14 has a deeper warmer green that makes the 13 look a little flat and gray.
The 2014 Soul is suppose to be"all new" but looking at the profile they don't look all that different, even from the front they look similar. They say one shouldn't buy a "all new" model but wait until it has been around for a while to make sure all the bugs have been worked out, but I'm not sure that applies here. Unlike the new Honda Fit or the Mazda 3 which are completely different cars and the Fit having a new engine and trans, plus those cars are now built at new factories in Mexico, so not only do you have to contend with a whole new car, but a new assembly plant out of its country of origin, new employees and possibly new suppliers. It seems to be pretty good value and less electronic jib jab to go south on you as the car ages, if you buy the base model.
Dont care for the cvt auto that is in the second gen soul nor the problems minor poblens it's understandable that all cars have their flaws but can you spend that kind of money to buy a vehicle you shouldn't have to spend all that time at the dealership regardless of cars under warranty or not I purchase a 2013 soul and I still have it till this day 0 problems out of it the only thing I really had minor with it was the crank position sensor other than that it's been a pretty reliable car purchase purchase the 2015 Kia Soul it was the biggest POS I ever bought
What Happened to the Rear!!? Im all for a lower sleeker look. The boot looks like it will cause accidents from rubberneckers thinking, "Oh did you see that accident?".
This video was moving too fast when showing the interior and dash board and it looked awful. you could have done a better job on that. However, the showing of the exterior was good and you could notice the difference
I hate the black door trim on the 2013 but I love it's rear ass. I don't like the rear ass on the 2014 but the sides look much nicer on the 2014. The projector headlights are also much nicer on the 2014 rather than the plain halogen headlamps on the 2013. However, both have the ugly green color-lmfao.

2013 for sure. Exterior and interior design looks better on 2013. 2014 overdesigned and looks a bit weird in my opinion.
