I don't know what your state of mind is today. I can only imagine it's not a stroll in the park everyday. But I believe it's false you can't be loved. Romantic relationships often suck, and you had a very hard time with your exes, but you're not the one at fault. One can't tell what the future will be but I believe things can always be better. For you, and everyone. I've struggled with mental illness for years, still am at a lesser degree, but nothing is carved in stone. And even if you were not to be loved again in a romantic way, their loss not yours. But I'm sure you have people who look up to you. As I said, you're a fighter. And we can all relate to this.

I am proud of you for breaking free. I go to Celebrate Recovery and A.A., and it has helped me heal for the after effects of getting sober. Celebrate Recovery taught me that it's a symptom to childhood trauma and A.A is teaching me fellowship. They are good resources to have on my healing tool belt. Someone said it in the comments already, but it's so true that self-love is the most important love. Keep your candle on

As someone who was in a relationship with someone who is an alcoholic and drug addict, this hits hard. He loved the alcohol and drugs more than me. But, I love this song and I can listen to it without crying. It’s been 12 years now and I don’t feel anything for him. It’s hard to trust people because I don’t want to go through that pain again.
