- Hello everyone, my name is Duong.
I am 32 years old.
I live in a poor mountainous area of Vietnam.
From a young age, I had to work hard to help my parents.
Difficult life is always around, I work and learn everything from my grandparents and the old people in the village.
Gradually, I mastered the skills.
5 years ago, I decided to live the challenge.
Determined to learn about the primitive way of life, I chose to live in the wilderness, alone.
Where there's no technology and forcing yourself to pass, it feels great!
How about you? Your life is definitely different from mine.
Have fun watching the video!

You are adding water to their food from a flowing source. You should consider boiling the water you are adding to their food to ensure that the water itself is free of bacteria. At least until they are all healthy again. Also, consider reinforcing your fence around the yard with mud or cement so the pigs can't escape. Allowing them to roam will provide them with vital exercise, and will decrease the amount of time they are together, reducing the risk of infection spreading.
I agree about the chickens….keep the hens in a wire pen let the rooster have free reign remove the pig pen move to goats….hides, cheese, milk and all you have to do is maintain the enclosure around the farm so they don’t wander too far. As for rodents that ones easy we have feral farm cats that keep them under control…nab a kitten or two raise them but don’t feed them too much so they will hunt…if you can nab a few dead rodents use their remains as toys don’t use feathers unless you want cats to eat chicks. Excess fish remains can be amazing cat reward as well and you won’t have to dispose of them just place them in small bowl. Be sure to keep water indoors for cats next to food bowl so they hang around your house and your problem will be greatly reduced….as for bugs on your crops…..find rooting plants any kind that exude white milk in roots and have flowers, crush roots in water and sprinkle on plants…..be sure to wash before eating those plants! Don’t use too much root in water you want it to be like coconut water color. Hope this old Ojibwa helped…boojou
Duong I also thought a suggestion. If you had a large container and filled it with the green manure plants and water, as the plants rot they turn the water into a liquid fertiliser that you can easily spread on your crops. It’s very good for tomatoes and fruit when the fruit is growing on the plants.
You are very diligent in giving food to your livestock 🐷🐷🐷pigs so they are healthy 💯👍👍👍
The pigs need something to cover from mosquitos stung. The mosquitos can transfer the diseace. I dont now how it is in your country, but here in mid europa (Germany). we give our pigso cover with mud. So a mud pond would be helpfull or acces to the riverside.
Duong! Is it possible to do content about glass? I want to see glass windows and crafts!! There is no end to your challenge!!!😍😍😍
May your family always be healthy and always successful, my brother 🤲💯🙏👍👍👍
I love chilli. My favourite dish with chili is tortillas.
It's interesting watching the things you cultivate. Pretty much everything you grow can't grow in my climate.
correct for me as well! we best part was about cultivating rice I think
@@storm5257 I live in a cold climate so all the tropical plants are pretty awesome. Too warm for me but still cool to watch.
Wo
Wild birds can carry the germs with them as they move about from place to place. So while you are isolated from other pigs, if a wild bird comes in contact with your pigs, or even your chickens, and was in contact with a sick pig it can cause an outbreak. The birds and chickens wont get sick, but it will still get the pigs sick.
Another great video from doung! very interesting
Duong will like your comment.
Duong, another idea for the future: you could make a juicing press for the sugar cane. Cold sugar cane juice is delicious!
Well you can also eat it like that straight from the sauce 😂but you need t have strong teeth
Good night my brother🙏
I have watched him grow from those tiny hut he built and now it looks like a town. Hehe
THank you
I finally buy 25h forest in Romania sow from the next year we will be able to be of grade and start😊
chili pepper is great for chickens it helps them produce nice healthy eggs.
Maybe you should put a fence around your pig area that way if they get out of pen they are still contained and can't get away.
I wish you all the best for you and your family
Thank you
Chili harvest..? Amazing, best video Very inspiring and entertaining Thank you for sharing this video...Good luck for the future God Bless you Greetings from your gold digger friend 🇻🇳🇮🇩🌼🌸👍👍
Thank you very much, happy to receive your wishes, wish you and your family good health
Thank you, wish you and your family good health-
Oiiii Duong uma semana abençoada prá vocês!
Thank you
Thank you so much
Sorry to hear of your pigs sickness. I read about this disease when you mentioned it and from what I found there is NO CURE yet for this. What a shame, you both put in a lot of work with them. Your fish and chicken populations are getting huge. Will you try pigs again? Could you get some goats? they would weed your place and the milk is very healthy. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, a very good suggestion
So beautiful your videos and your skills
I also had an idea for when you repair the water wheel. You could use the copper to make bushings, which are smooth metal rings that you put on the axle to reduce friction when the wheel spins.
I enjoy watching your videos and how much you love your animals..
Pretty Chili's. And flavorful too, I bet. Thanks for sharing, Duong. I love your channel and your wife's. She sure is busy.
Thank you so much
Very beautiful video.
Superbe vidéo quel lieux magnifique.
Bummer about the pigs, enjoyed the video.
Entretenido 😊 muy generosa la tierra. Exitos en un nuevo proyecto
I'm so sad the little pigs died. I hope the three you have left will be ok. Your garden looks so beautiful.
Very good
Thanks for sharing
Hey Duong let me get some that fresh grown chili! 💯
Dung, the pigs are on a wooden floor that’s open for draft. First of all, it is sad. Pigs want to be able to dig around some muddy ground by there nature. But it also has a purpose they do. When pigs piddle around in muddy ground, they wear off parasites, bacteria and it prevents virusses.
Also (as pigs a very warmblooded animals) they like to cool down in the mud.
A drafty shed isn’t good and a wooden half open beam-floor is far from ideal.
Good luck mate! Happy pigs 🐷 will bring it to you too😉
Thanks for showing us how you string the peppers again. I always love your videos. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you
In the future try ro give a chillie papper and garlic in normal amounts to pigs every time when feed them, maybe it will helps a little to prevent them from desease.
At first I thought the sink was a waste of time with all the running water you already had on the farm but it has grown on me more over time as being useful to you.
Someone else said this but the running water you're adding to their food may be where the illness came from. Maybe boil water before adding it to their food. Also, is there a way to sanitize your water pipes? They have been flowing water a long time open to the elements. Could there be some pathogens in there also?
Hope this helps. Love your work. Thanks for sharing your journey.
That’s right, sugar cane requires a tropical climate for optimal growth. In mainland France, the climate is generally too cold for growing sugar cane. However, sugar cane is grown in some French overseas regions, such as Guadeloupe and Martinique, where the climate is warmer and more humid. In mainland France, other crops, such as wheat, corn and rapeseed, are more common due to their adaptation to more temperate climates.
Thank you very much, happy to receive your wishes, wish you and your family good health
I know my son would love to live on a farm
Sorry about your piglets Duong. Hopefully you can get others in the future to replace them. It was tough to see their mama get sick, not much one can do. Wishing you and your family good health!
I'm sorry to hear that all the piglets were lost. I had hoped that you would be able to breed one of the piglets when they got older to replace the lost mama pig.
Those fallen peppers you couldn't harvest should be able to be safely fed to your chickens. Chickens can't taste spice, so they will enjoy the flavor. Your tying up of chilis is very good-looking. It's like everything else you give your focus to, its beautiful.
Thank you, wish you and your family good health-
Đừng nản lòng, hãy giữ vững tinh thần và ủng hộ bạn
From Canada. I really enjoy watching you and your wife live as you do living off the land, you both are very talented . Building and growing and raising live stock for sale and for food. The only things I don't understand is what do you do with your children and why do you have two homesteads. It's like his and her homes.
Thank you, a very good treatment
Duong, great idea. let the sugar cane grow. make sugar, and try to make homemade alcohol from sweet tincture!
Πολύ νόστιμο το chili!!!!
The sweet potatoes you guys grow are tiny compared to the ones in the United States.
I just planted the sweet potatoes a few months ago
(At 30:49) That string of peppers looks just like the Heliconia flower outside in the garden.
In my country - in Russia - sugar is produced from beetroot and sugar cane do not grow due to low temperature here.
Have a good day
We plant sugarcan vertically by tradition but I don't think it is really efficient.😅 Your wife's way is better👍🏾
Primeira receita: pegue 6 pimentas, retire as sementes e as pontas, pique bem picadinhas.
I am very happy to see you harvest so many chilli peppers!!! That is a lovely, big harvest and will last you a while! I am also happy to see you are hanging the peppers to dry. This will let you store the peppers for a very long time and the harvest is useful for many months to come.
I hope that you keep hanging your chilli peppers, corn and many other foods out to dry. This is how food used to be stored for long periods of time, so this is perfect!
I am also very excited to see you planting sugar canes! I can't wait to see you have a huge harvest, hopefully you will make some sugar to use in the future!!! It would be lovely to see you grow and harvest many herbs to use in your cooking, maybe even mushrooms? Having lots of dry ingredients to use in your cooking is so beautiful, it makes your life so much better.
I hope that you will use sugar cane to make sugar. Make enough sugar to last you many months and many meals!
Thank you, it will be done soon, best wishes to you
Amazing videos as always! You inspire me to have a beautiful homestead one day too! Thank you for sharing this beautiful story and views with us
Thank you so much
Thank you , Duong .
🐺
Very nice 👍

My brother. Find bees in the forest, and you'll have bees of your own. And thus produce your own honey. Please do this I'm waiting

Im sorry for your loss... R.I.P. bacon...
Nice chilli harevest! Well done! You can now make formented hotsaus! that last very long!
Mortar and pestle needed.
My mortar and pestle is broken, maybe I should make a new one or go to my wife's to use it
hi if you remove the seeds your peppers will be much less spicy...
Thank you so much
I wish i was there with you when you chop them bad boi PIGS i could smell the bacon sizzling from ENGLAND 🥓.. But why dont you grow some weed?? Very beautiful and wonderful. From you, I learned how to make iron. Thank you.
Thank you
i think the mother pig was allready ill when she gave birth to the young pigs, that is why every pig now have it, be carefull the surviving pigs can be holder of the desease, better to get rid of them and restart with healthy pigs. I know it is hard to hear but that is reality... hope you the best !
I really love hot pepper, eat it every day. I eat almost 1 whole pepper and add it to any food.
I also make pepper sauce, blend it with a blender, add garlic, blend it, add tomatoes, and also blend it while boiling. Then I close it in a jar, leave it in a dark place until it cools down and put it in a cupboard. For storage.
Your chili peppers are gorgeous! Good crop.
Once again, please give the pigs fresh water. They need it as much as you. They will be healthier if they have fresh water to drink everyday. Also, let them run around and wallow in the mud. Mud protects their skin and keeps harmful insects like ticks and mosquitoes from biting them too much. The bugs get trapped in the mud then fall off as the mud dries. The pigs do this naturally. It's the natural way to protect from diseases that mosquitoes, ticks, and flies carry.
Thank you so much
Phong cảnh nhà rất đẹp 🎉🎉
Thank you
Bendiciones
Thank you, I tried it and all the piglets couldn't survive
Bonjour .
Cordialement
wish you well Duong love the videos good luck with the pigs
Is there no treatment for the pig sickness. What is it called? Keep moving forward.
Have you tried asking a pig farmer about the illness and ways to stop or cure it?
Have you tried adding some more protein to your pigs diet? You need to build their immune system strong, and eggs rich with protein and also omega 3 would be a good introduction. I mentioned Black soldier flies to you earlier. They are rich in protein and omega 3. Also Vitamin D3 and K2 (K2 helps body to absorb vitamin D efficiently. K2 you get in dairy products and some leafy greens) is good for the immune system. Also fermenting the food, as I think you are doing, is a good idea for health.
Thank you, it's a great way to treat it
