- Mod Musings is entering his first mechanical keyboard to the market, the 65% "Encore" in collaboration with Mode Designs. Available in 4 different finishes including combinations of aluminum, copper, oak, and walnut. The Encore shares internals with Mode's recently re-released and updated SixtyFive of the same form factor making the build process just as easy, but reimagined inside a completely new package design by Matthew himself. Including a hardwood bezel, a Cherry front lip, and subtle relief on the bottom it is a stunning, almost mid-century looking board with Mode's high tech internals.

This is allmost exactly what i'm looking for!
If only it was 100% with TKL and came in a nordic layout with the green and cream caps you showcased here then i would order it today.
It would match my entire theme and i need the numpad for productivity.

Now if only they'd make a board with this aesthetic in a 75% layout and a zero degree typing angle.
I’d love to see this language in bigger layouts too. Doubt we’ll see a 0° from Mode, but who knows what could happen! :)
@@_IanOfEarth That's my biggest issue with custom keyboards is hardly any of them have a zero degree option. I don't understand the point of adding any angle to the case itself, just include multistep switches and a flat bottom so that it appeals to more people.
@@beanwithbacon I think the main issue there is it being hard to do that in a premium way. The Artifact keyboard that Taeha just reviewed on his channel may be the first implementation I’ve seen that looks good! They did now make 0° feet though. The mechanism is there though.
@@_IanOfEarth System76 pulled it off. Honestly don't see why it would be difficult in a "premium" way.
