Cool. Yes with the MixPre series only having 1 SD card and having to mirror as a backup allows fornpossible corruption. This is a failsafe recording. Good idea. No need to stop and start it at all. I’d like to see how your workflow is in another video unpacking say a 8 hour long 32-bit float file and finding what you need by Timecode and with 6 second handles cut it out to handoff to post as a 24-bit WAV file with timecode properly stamped on it.
Exactly! Recording on two systems is so much better, because a backup of a corrupt file will not be any better right 😂 And well, I’ve never cut out takes for post.. mostly because it’s TC sync, and only they know if they’re missing anything or would like longer audio than the main recorder recorded. 😊 It’s up to them to use it or leave it 😊

but isn't the line signal different than a mic signal (mic as in a lav mic) if the audio is clean I will purchase straight away so looking forward to your reply
Sorry for the late reply!! But at 2:44 you can see the switch in the app, between powering the input for mics, or for inputs from a mixer :) Make sure it’s turned off indeed, if you want to use it for backups 😊
I see 2 years ago you used the sound devices A10rx but here I see you are using a wisycom. Are you using both or have you switched to wisycom? If so, may I ask why?
@@framewaves Of course, very few people doing sound bts videos! I use Sennheiser ew500 g4. I really want to upgrade to sound devices A20 but I’m considering other options while I save up.
@@ArjunNechiyil I came from sennies to Wisycom too, & I must say from seeing my mate use the A10’s, they’re lovely, but Wisy has been extraordinary! 🤩 The reach, the user friendly interface, the new app, and especially the 4 channel in one receiver makes it worth it :) And thanks bro, I’ll make more BTS videos 😃

what output on your mixer are you using to feed the tentacle?
I use the mini XLR’s on the side. At 1:43 you can see them 😊
So,theoretically could I use a trs to 35mm cable to get a decent sound from a dj mixer/board?
