GREAT video for us newbies. You speak English, slow and concisely, very thoroughly like your actually trying to teach people. Like you get a C note for everyone who gets it at the end. Some of these "teachers" I just don't understand how they want us to learn at 120 mph. Don't know how I would have learned all this alone. 134K subscribers and only 2.6K Likes ? These people too lazy to hit the like ?

I have watched about half of this video and I am SO HAPPY to have found this. This is just the basic and thorough information I need - I am writing notes so I can reference while working on videos and trying to internalize the information so it is automatic. I really appreciate this video and look forward to viewing others as I begin to master some of the basics.

Just installed the free version of the app; loving it, but loving the intro video even more. I spent a few months with FinalCutPro about 10 years ago, and the layout of the app windows and general features and functions map nicely back to that old experience. Just makes it easy to start looking at basic video creation/authoring!! And I love the cool-brother narrator!!! He makes things easy to understand, and does so without being b.o.r.i.n.g to listen to!!!!!
PS - the closed captioning is excellent also!

When my timeline contains many video clips with a total of 60 to 90 minutes and i speed them up + bring them down to 15 minutes ( transitions , fix & enhance etc incuded ) my timeline is not very smooth.
Could you recommend me best cpu, gpu etc hardwares for best possible performance.

I'm not a fan of the subscription model, but I went with Director Suite 365. See, I'm trying to get more serious about photography and videography this year. New lenses, new camera, new jeans. I even shaved off my beard to mark this as a new kind of year for me. Part of the change is trying new tools, and since the Director Suite includes PhotoDirector, AudioDirector, and ColorDirector, it seemed like a good deal.
Yeah, I'll be eating a bit more Ramen until next payday, but as Vincent van Gogh said, "If you ain't suffering, it ain't art." 😆

Excellent beginners tutorial. I'm using two versions of Power director right now; power director 365 for pc and windows and power director mobile for my chromebook. Personally, I find editing videos on my Chrome book to be a lot easier than the pc version. However, Power director 365 currently is the only version that accepts my Sony ZV-1 video settings like XAVC S and AVCHD. Also, I find that power director mobile has a lot more video and audio downloads for the paid subscription than 365 (though this might have changed now). Keep up the good work! You've definitely helped me out with understanding power director and getting the best out of video editing 👍

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  2 роки тому

Hi Danny. Thanks or watching. All things being equal I think PD is much more resource friendly. But, it depends on what you're doing and what file types you're doing it with. Someone using mp4 1080p files might not use as many resources as someone using 6K HDR 4:2:2 apple prores files with a bunch of FX, LUTs, and transitions.

Hello! I often work very zoomed in trying to get clips lined up just the way I want with separate audio that I have prepared and find it very annoying that the timeline visual follows the playhead as it moves out of the field of view. It basically means if I can't get the clip just right in the span of a couple seconds my field of view jumps and I have to pause and pull it back into view. I'd like for the playhead to keep moving beyond the field of view without pulling me along with it. Is there any way to stop following the playhead? I can't seem to find it in any tutorials and it's not obvious in the preferences options.

Not that I’m aware of. You can ask on the PowerDirector forum.

    Have you ever used
    Corel VSP Editing software ?
That is what I currently use but I may just step over to power director.
I just subscribed and hit like Plus I clicked the bell.

      I have always enjoyed
      Core VSP
EVEN THOUGH IT DOES HAVE A FEW BUGS ONCE IN AWHILE.
PowerDirector came highly recommended so I figured I'd give it a shot.
I'm excited about learning it I've only had the one glitch so far.
With my audio not playing the first three four words.
Hopefully I'll get through that and things will go smooth.
I think every piece of software is going to have some glitch once in awhile.
But it is nice when things run smooth.

I would love to have it later but in some video editing, the productions took very slow to record long video on to file, on DVD discs etc. It took a day to complete it.
So does Power director very slow or faster than the other video editing software.

    Hi !
I'm new to PowerDirector and some method of saving videos.
    I need help.
    😲
What is the difference (in reality visible) between choosing (1920x1080/24) or (1920x1080/30)?
    Thank you to enlighten me.
    Good continuation.

I’m currently learning motion graphics, which includes using software like Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve. I don’t have a computer at home for editing, so I’m looking to buy one. I’m not sure which computer would be best. Should I start with a budget-friendly PC for basic video and photo editing and upgrade it later, or should I go for a high-end PC now?"

Greetings! I have power director 16. When I add the volume dots on the audio line and then pull one down at the end in order to fade, it doesn't fade. It still just cuts off abruptly?? Please advise?

Add a keyframe where you want the fade to begin. Add a keyframe at the end of the clip. Drag down the second keyframe.
You can also click on the audio clip, click the keyframe button, and use the keyframe interface to make changes to the audio.

@@PDU_Tutorials by "Keyframe" you mean those dot things right? I did that and it still doesn't fade.

@@JohnnySantiago Yes, if not working you are doing something wrong. You can share your project files on the PowerDirector forum so people can help with whatever the issue is.
