Whoever told you that your work is irrelevant is an asshole, but saying that other work is also invalid or irrelevant is not the answer. You become the beast that hurt you. The worst crime is that you are believing them and internalizing their thoughts. It is most important to strive for authenticity and you cannot be authentic while damaging someone else's authentic expression. Your frustration is palpable but leaning into your own work regardless of its perception and reception is what being an artist is all about! I see that you have been really hurt badly and I am sorry.
Thanks for the amateur psycologising, but from where I'm sitting the problem is authenticity.B Art has nothing to do with authentisity, which is an existential heideggerian psyco-drama, invented to justify the nazis
I always thought there was a demonic or nihilistic spirit to Rothko's work. Excellent video essay as usual. I've shared it with a few friends already..
@@Paul-talk No. I'm thinking anything in a "classic" style in any "classic" medium with any subject. All by human hand only. Similar to the Pre-Raphaelites but with the incorporation of another element. A revolutionary new element. What that new element is who knows. All I know is that I'm working on it as we speak. The AI art industry only narrows the selection of worthy human artists. I've never been so excited about art. I recommend others start now too.
sounds like you are ambitious and driven. I respect that. ...I suspect you have no idea how this fake "art world" works. No one cares about anyone's revolution .. its all about something else...
There is no Solution and if there was anybody who shared it freely would be a fool. Better to just put it into action then and become the world's hero. This is not about a Solution, we are brainstorming a prison break.
You say a lot of smart words and tell beautiful and interesting stories. Apart from that you whine and complain. Like a spoiled brat) Who says art value can be adequately defined by society
I don't say "defined by society", I say seen by society. There is only one reality. We're on that page (more or less) or we are not At the moment we don't even know there is a book.
Why do you need to invoke god? Reality is reality..every morning billions of people wake up, all believing in a different "god". None of them changes reality.

anyway,,I didn't call anything "irrelivant"! i just asked a few obvious questions.

I agree with you twenty years ago if that makes sense. Now it's just a cliche. We should make a move towards the next step. A new art movement.
and that would be ... what?
yet another flavor of non-art? 😂

But if art is something in itself, your revolution is just god-pretenrion. Your personal excitment is no no proof that your object is real
@@Paul-talk Let's find out. Remember my name haha. Isn't the unknown amazing?

Why complain about the obvious problem (as you always do) rather than speak of the Solution. I'd love to hear your solution. Make a video about that.

...and?
I don't say "defined by society", I say seen by society.
There is only one reality. We're on that page (more or less) or we are not At the moment we don't even know there is a book.
God is not reality
ok, so man is God and whatever we want Is real?
@@Paul-talk real is real. Neither god nor man decide. By definition, if it exists, it's real.
ok. fine. so reality.
..How do you know anything about God or not God? Whar is this yranscendant knowledge of yours?

Its not about NEED.
the question is: what is consciousness?
