tell me I'm not the only one that thought of RP Productions when I saw the car chase in HOUSTON in a WHITE HELLCAT "6 things I hate about my hellcat, #1 it's not fast enough to get away from the cops without the red key"
It's easy to align the tail lamps. You just have to unfasten the retainers on the two end lights and adjust the alignment on those to fit the center section.
About number 6, 2 things you CAN do, 1, move the passenger seat forward a bit, and 2, set the side mirrors properly. That is set them outward far enough so you can not see the side of your own car. That minimizes the blind spot in the side mirrors
I can’t believe you didn’t mention not having memory seats like the Chargers or the one touch up for the automatic windows. However I didn’t realize the Chargers had the option to change the steering feel and the Challengers did not. And yes it does make the steering hard to maneuver during hard cornering. I would have to keep a steady grip with both hands on the steering wheel during hard cornering......good point!
I have a supercharged non-performance pack S550 Mustang and somehow Ford figured out how to curb brake dust and carbon buildup on exhaust tips! I've owned 21 cars including everything from Porsche, BMW, VW, Subaru, FCA, GM, Suzuki, Hyundai and it's pretty unbelievable (I'm not a Ford fanboy)...
The brake dust is horrible. Agreed. I'm on my 3rd Hellcat, have 2 now. However...🤔 the stopping performance is amazing and in a panic stop when some fool pulled out in front of me, in Kentucky. PlumCrazy Hellcat Charger clocked 1 neg G avoiding the accident. 👌
Add an aluminum one piece shaft and a performance diff brace -- not just the shaft -- for about $1250 installed, and you're ready for DRs and can safely swap out your pulleys with no fear of twisting. I went with a 2.75 upper and an ATI 10% super dampener with a Gates belt and a pin kit. There is a lot of room for increasing power in this car with nothing but bolt ons, which is why people who spent $100K on Vettes get so very pissy with Challenger HC folks. I mean, seriously: they complain that the interior of a HC is "cheap"? I happen to really like mine -- and even if I didn't, after all the bolt-on performance mods to take me up to near 1000 HP -- I still have $35K left over should I ever feel the need to gild my interior. Or I can just bring it up to 'Vette level for $500 and pocket the remaining $34500.
Hey RP. I don't have a Hellcat, but I do have an SXT Plus. The rear lights in the roof actually are LED from the factory. I know because I went to swap them out only to discover that I would have to do a lot more work than what I originally thought. Just ordered some LEDs from superbrightLEDs and Diode Dynamics that matched the color of those ones in the roof. Looks stock and they match. Easy fix.
the tail light is a common thing, 2min fix for mine. never seen one with that door gap though. brake pads are Brembos so.... a different brand pad I guess? That blind spot is only an issue for me in an angled parking spot. I do set the passenger seat forward just enough to unblock the qtr glass.
The hellcat has old school hydraulic assisted power steering while scat packs have electric assisted, which is why the feel can be changed when different modes are selected. Be happy the hydraulic system is alot less complicated.
Problem with performance brakes, they are crap..Always more brake dust..Cheap normal brake pads are smoother and less dust.. 73,631 miles on one of our Hellcats and 100% problem free ! Beautiful cars, all tiem record of 28.3 mpg on the highway !! 4,500 pound car,707 hp and 28.3. I always found the most powerful engine available in a car gets the very close or the same or better gas mileage when driven properly as the smaller....V8's always got a bad reputation but truth is they're good on gas ! Unless you floori it all the time and then drive a 4 or 6 cyl and baby it,as some people actually do !
You can't change steering feel on the hellcat because it does not have electric steering. The widebody and scat pack have electric power steering so the feel is able to be adjusted.
The fit finish on my '10 SRT Challenger is excellent, and I have no complaints. You cant blame Dodge for the Brembo,s because they didn't make them, as I am sure that you are aware of RP Pro.
Driveshafts are really only an issue on the 2015 models. I've read that while the 16+ driveshafts aren't as strong as a one piece, they are much improved.
I thought you would mention the weight. I have an 09' SRT so maybe it's more of an issue for me than you, but the 2+ tons of this beast is always front and center.
Brake Dust: pads must be soft and so they work and don't destroy the rotors. Driveshaft: one piece shafts are not a smooth as 2 piece, more clunk, and not enough clearance. DSS requires modding in order to clear. Dodge had to put in what was comfortable for everyone and fits. I have had 4 different cars with 1 piece shafts and didn't like them at all.
thanks for your insight.. I (July 30)just traded in my pitch black 2015 m6 scat pack for a 2018 m6 Hellcat. My scat pack had just 300 hundred miles when I added the Barton shifter and skip shift, about 600 miles Nitto 555R 275/40s and energy suspension cradle bushings, 900 miles leather Katzin interior and right at 1000 miles a complete Hellcat nose and air inlet tube. It was BAD looking. but anyhow I never twisted anything even with the drag radials being on the car 3 1/2 years and 4500 miles.
Ive owned one since 2016 and all of the things you hate are overlooked to some degree or another.I don't know if its blind devotion or whatever(biased opinion)lol but I love mine.
Just an fyi your hellcat doesn't have adjustable steering because it is hydraulic not electric and 2018 hellcats now have electric power steering so it should be adjustable.
Thank you for making that point. I have a 2016 Hellcat and love the fact I actually have hydraulic steering. When he said widebodies were adjustable, I started scratching my head.
I thought your #1 complaint would of been weight, that car is very heavy and the weight effects it so much. I played a cat and mouse chase game with a Charger Hellcat on the highway in my cls63 Amg, and I thought it would of been much faster, having 707hp. But my car seem so much quicker from 50-120, I was damn near up in the Hellcat rear bumper, I had to keep braking so I wouldn't rear end him. My car is lighter but still, I'm sure the Hellcat would of end up walking my Amg on the high end.
Hey Riley : Good stuff to rant on bro. I think Dodge went with the smaller harder compound tires so the cars would be able to achieve the outrageous Top speeds they were advertising, 199 mph on the Chally & 204 mph on the Charger Hellcats.
Yeah Riley but Chrysler never been known for their body panel fitment my buddies white Scat Pack is the same way, even my subie has some body panel gaps that are sort of weird the only panel I ever seen that are 100% spot-on is a Lexus or Toyota.
I noticed about my hellcat when you leave suspension in track mode the steering is alil tighter. Noticed same thing with my scatpack having the ability to change it.
#1 on your list is a known problem the fix get for example a DDR one piece driveshaft problem solved, but I'm sure you don't want to void your warranty....WTF was Dodge thinking they put out a 700hp car with ten speed bicycle tires cheap crappy ones at that.... baffles me so what good is a 700 how car if traction sucks? It's a death trap for novice drivers who think "I got this, I drive my dad's 86 Camaro with a 305 automatic"
Iv heard about bad panel gaps on mustang and challenger now and I checked my Camaro and they’re all good I wonder if I just got lucky w that or if Camaros are just better at panel fitment?
Bro please answer my question so what if you're not into drag racing and you don't want drag radios you just want to go fast on the streets after the P Zeros what are the tires you would recommend that you can just go fast on the streets with and will give you traction
Sure your last year of college is busy, but could you not keep doing these rinse and repeat videos? Something different would be nice; it doesn't have to be buying parts.
What do you use to clean your wheels on the changer. I have the charger and my wheels I can never completely get them clean they are just like that but mattie black
Hey rp I currently have a 2016 srt 392 and when I put it in track mode it automatically tightens the steering, and I think it might be the same way on the Hellcat
Three of them would bug the hell out of me, (1) no adjustable steering - loose steering at high speeds is scary as crap, (2) weak-ass driveshaft, never heard of this this as a mustang owner, heard of half shafts breaking on stock manual mustangs with drag radials but driveshaft on a stock auto?, & (3) blind spot - that is huge, you can hide an entire car almost in that area.
Hey thank you for the video I have the same dislikes about my hellcat except I have one more thing I dislike my steering wheel and my whole car shakes sometimes at 85 sometimes at 140 just doesn’t feel stable I think in the back to the dealer or numerous times dodge customer service really sucks
I’ve gotten the tires balanced three times under warranty I ran through the first set of the stock Perelli I made sure to get them Road force balance when I picked up my second set nitto I thought about going to the process of the lemon law more than likely I’m just going to trade the car in in the future
Sorry dude, can't agree on several of your points. Drive shaft, is BS. If your going to seriously run at the strip then install a hardened shaft. Too many people bad mouthing Hellcats after they have run the living shit out of the car and it breaks. If an owner is going to run at the strip with slicks he needs to do more to the car other than tires. Brake dust, hey you got some gigantic clamps up there and yes they make dust. Install ceramic pads and much of that will go away. Alignment, agree not so great on some parts. Varies by car though. Paint on the caliper. They will replace it under warranty. The interior lights are not LED's. Give me a break. Thats a BS call
707 hp= Blindspot eliminator.
tell me I'm not the only one that thought of RP Productions when I saw the car chase in HOUSTON in a WHITE HELLCAT
"6 things I hate about my hellcat, #1 it's not fast enough to get away from the cops without the red key"
Jacob Harvey
Loool
Dude, I can not tell you how many times I was saved by blind spot monitoring when I had mine.

Had the same problem with brake dust. I switched my pads to powerstop Z26 and my rims never look dirty.
I have a supercharged non-performance pack S550 Mustang and somehow Ford figured out how to curb brake dust and carbon buildup on exhaust tips! I've owned 21 cars including everything from Porsche, BMW, VW, Subaru, FCA, GM, Suzuki, Hyundai and it's pretty unbelievable (I'm not a Ford fanboy)...

you can change out the rear dome lights but you have to loosen the headliner. they can be bought on ebay for a couple bucks
Go with Powerstop Z26 brake pads, way less dust and noise. Ceramic coating on the wheels helps with brake dust cleanup too. Great vids brother
Add an aluminum one piece shaft and a performance diff brace -- not just the shaft -- for about $1250 installed, and you're ready for DRs and can safely swap out your pulleys with no fear of twisting. Lol, they put in 700hp motor but a driveshaft that can't keep up with it
Easy fix.
I changed my break pads (2016 Z06) to Hawk ceramic pads. What a HUGE difference on break dust. Stopping feels better too.
the tail light is a common thing, 2min fix for mine. never seen one with that door gap though. brake pads are Brembos so.... a different brand pad I guess? That blind spot is only an issue for me in an angled parking spot. I do set the passenger seat forward just enough to unblock the qtr glass.
The hellcat has old school hydraulic assisted power steering while scat packs have electric assisted, which is why the feel can be changed when different modes are selected. Be happy the hydraulic system is alot less complicated.
Need to get the Powerstop Z16 brake pads. Virtually no brake dust. Front Part# 16-1405, Rear part#16-1053
Problem with performance brakes, they are crap..Always more brake dust..Cheap normal brake pads are smoother and less dust..

Thing that I hate about challengers NOTHING
Chrysler got the same fitment issue as well
I don't like how big, bulky & heavy they are, poor handling but they look great, sound decent. I can see why people like them.
Driveshafts are really only an issue on the 2015 models. I've read that while the 16+ driveshafts aren't as strong as a one piece, they are much improved.
Take your hellcat back to the dealership and buy a Hyundai. Too much raw power for you
Tf?
You gotta get the Hellcat wrapped. red with a goldish flip on different angles to match the interior. That white has to go to basic.
That panel fitment 😂 c'mon dodge. My charger has paint runs on the rear bumper.
How do you pull yourself out of bed in the morning? What a terrible life...lol
Adjust your side mirrors properly and it definitely helps.
I thought you would mention the weight. I have an 09' SRT so maybe it's more of an issue for me than you, but the 2+ tons of this beast is always front and center.

Brake dust issue is on any of the Dodge with the Brembos and totally agree about those roof lights.
Jamison Bonham is 100% correct . Electric power steering is in all 18’s. And it’s the reason all new hell cats are adjustable. Not just the wide body.
Thank you for making that point. I have a 2016 Hellcat and love the fact I actually have hydraulic steering. When he said widebodies were adjustable, I started scratching my head.
... why did you get rid of the Camaro SS, ??
I thought your #1 complaint would of been weight, that car is very heavy and the weight effects it so much. I played a cat and mouse chase game with a Charger Hellcat on the highway in my cls63 Amg, and I thought it would of been much faster, having 707hp. Congrats 81k!
Great vid Riley!! might have to do one for my zr1!!
Hey Riley : Good stuff to rant on bro. I think Dodge went with the smaller harder compound tires so the cars would be able to achieve the outrageous Top speeds they were advertising, 199 mph on the Chally & 204 mph on the Charger Hellcats.
#7 It's not a widebody.
As far as brake dust, get the ArmorAll Outlast brake dust repellent spray - it actually works.
1 & 2 is probably why it sat in their lot for two years and the new hellcats have different tires
I have yet to find a car I can’t complain about..
The weak driveshaft explains the cheesy tires it comes with.
To change those back bulbs to LED I believe you have to take the headliner down to get to them
You can change the rear cabin lights to led you just have to pull the headliner.
Rp productions you forgot to mention how bad it's on the gas
In my challenger the major thing i don't like about is how my
Phone can't connect to my radio/ it won't sync. Surprised you didn't touch on that.
#6 move your seat forward giving yourself that view that's being blocked by the headrest!!
That might be a piece of clear film on the face of the Brembo’s
It sure looks like plastic on it
Yeah Riley but Chrysler never been known for their body panel fitment my buddies white Scat Pack is the same way, even my subie has some body panel gaps that are sort of weird the only panel I ever seen that are 100% spot-on is a Lexus or Toyota.
I tried to be first for you bro but people are quick😂
1DarkSS Films I'm sure your girlfriend would say your the quickest
Carlos Danger Lmao😂
if you're not driving someone in the car just remove the headrest or widen your mirror or add a concave mirror.
As Tanner said, it almost looks like a clear plastic film on your front calipers. Maybe it’s just the camera
If you put different tires on it and the driveshaft breaks, is it coveted under warrenty?
Only thing I hate about the Challenger is that the engine displacement is too small.
How much was the better driveshaft?
RP is that dudeeee!!!!💯🤙🏻
Iv heard about bad panel gaps on mustang and challenger now and I checked my Camaro and they’re all good I wonder if I just got lucky w that or if Camaros are just better at panel fitment?
Steering feels like crap because your last car was a 1LE........ go back to GM
My charge passenger side linement isn't lined up either. 😩😩
Bro please answer my question so what if you're not into drag racing and you don't want drag radios you just want to go fast on the streets after the P Zeros what are the tires you would recommend that you can just go fast on the streets with and will give you traction
What do you have on for tires on the back end? I’m looking at Mickey Thompson drag radial or nitto 555r?
I hate the lack of the one touch auto up for the windows.
LightningAssault.com dodge do has it
Yes, the break dust is INSANE! lol
Great video. When are you gonna get a cold air intake on their
At least you’ll be able to identify it based on panel gap if someone steals it lol love the content and car bro
You are a honest man ✔
Sure your last year of college is busy, but could you not keep doing these rinse and repeat videos? Something different would be nice; it doesn't have to be buying parts.
cutthroat795 why don’t you post content than buddy? If you have some not washed out ideas
What do you use to clean your wheels on the changer. I have the charger and my wheels I can never completely get them clean they are just like that but mattie black
Im suprised about the steering weight. I have a 2017 392 srt and the steering feel changes on my car.
What were you spraying with, foam cannon? Also, what did you use on your wheels to get the brake dust off so easily? Thanks in advance.
Fuuuck dude it's been a year, I don't think he's gonna answer
Hey RP, what is your in car camera setup? I have mounts for my camera in the car, but it has waaayyyy too much shake in it. Thanks!
Hey rp I currently have a 2016 srt 392 and when I put it in track mode it automatically tightens the steering, and I think it might be the same way on the Hellcat
Here before the Snap squad 😂
6 Things I Hate About my Hellcat: Not a Viper, Not a Viper, Not a Viper, Brake Dust up the Ass, Not a Viper, and finally you guesses it a Pillar xD
Three of them would bug the hell out of me, (1) no adjustable steering - loose steering at high speeds is scary as crap, (2) weak-ass driveshaft, never heard of this this as a mustang owner, heard of half shafts breaking on stock manual mustangs with drag radials but driveshaft on a stock auto?, & (3) blind spot - that is huge, you can hide an entire car almost in that area.
it doesn't have a "Steering- Sport" option? thats crazy my SXT has it
72000 bucks thrown away there are to many of them out there for any car value
Thanks for vid thinking of buying one great info 🤙
Better then the zl1?
well how the hell expensive is the shaft and isnt it under warranty? and if you didnt like the inspection why you buy it?
I love it very good my boy Riley
I need an v8 AWD challenger and I think I'll be set.
Hey thank you for the video I have the same dislikes about my hellcat except I have one more thing I dislike my steering wheel and my whole car shakes sometimes at 85 sometimes at 140 just doesn’t feel stable I think in the back to the dealer or numerous times dodge customer service really sucks
Delio Rendon get a wheel balancing?...
I’ve gotten the tires balanced three times under warranty I ran through the first set of the stock Perelli I made sure to get them Road force balance when I picked up my second set nitto I thought about going to the process of the lemon law more than likely I’m just going to trade the car in in the future
Good video. Keep it up
My moms Lexus is200t has the bigger break calipers and her brake dust is exactly like yours when I was her car😂
the blind spot kind of comes with the territory of owning a challanger
Didn’t they put a stronger driveshaft in the 17’s?? Thought I read they somewhere
15 had issue when using dr tires. 16 the part wwas upgraded. Still is next week point stiill.
that first issue you stated is kinda whack on Dodge's part....why would they use such a cheap driveshaft on such a high powered car???
I like how you went from 8 likes to 6 dislikes. That shows how awesome the Hellcat is👌😂
Adem Hasanovic its dodge cheap built
Do you plan on getting the Demon at some point in the future?
I would like to put a bigger supercharger on my I love the sound the supercharger sounds bad ass great
Sorry dude, can't agree on several of your points. Drive shaft, is BS. If your going to seriously run at the strip then install a hardened shaft. The car is $25,000 over priced compared to other cars in the $75,000 an up area. but it's still a nice car.
gotta get that radar detector off the windshield!
The main problem with the Hellcat is that it was made by Chrysler.
I would agree 100%
RP you make UA-cam’n look so easy sir. Great job on this one.
If you havent mentioned this before.. what are you going to school for ?
Only one thing I hate about my cat as with all my cars payments!
What about gas?
Edgar Mijares he wouldn't have bought it to complain about gas knowing he would be at the pump 24/7
