I switched to BBC America after the US media started talking during the herald trumpet fanfare in the Abbey that signaled the start of the procession. I was able to calm down after switching to that. I really wish that the BBC would make it a requirement that they shut it during services like that or they block the video feed to the offending broadcaster. I don’t know why they think that people want to hear them rattle on and on and on. News flash; we don’t want to hear your mouths run! We want to hear the beautiful music, and nothing more.
Mummy, Princess of Wales she is now had the honour of helping Woody.EXE during his and my coronation in July. Then my 2009 Woody and my sister, Princess of Wales helped me. I was gutted that my grandmother and grandad were on holiday when our coronation was happening because Woody.EXE would have given them a huge role for the coronation; he’s really upset that they didn’t get it. But at least Woody.EXE had his own family around him and even our royal fans so that’s all that matters

American, too. I've watched the televised version of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation a couple times here on YT. This coronation was pretty good even without the Homage of the Peers which did speed things up a bit because that bit can drag on. I wish Queen Camilla had held and carried her royal scepters to her throne and held them. It looked kind of unsymmetrical with the King holding his and the Queen with her hands in her lap.

@karentucker2161 And you need to learn the difference between reigning and ruling. The King reigns, but he does not rule. Ruling is done by his government, and as head of state in the UK the King is constitutionally obliged to follow the government's advice.

As a horse lover, I re-watched the horse and his drummer several times! What a magnificent animal! I didn't catch a missed beat from the drummer either! Beautiful training with no direct reins, just one's legs. It's a special feeling to be able to cross your arms, knowing your horse is trained for leg control only. Jumping (hurdles) is particular fun. Trust between horse and rider.

I know of no other world leader who’s initiation ceremony involves them to get down on their knees and divest themselves of all worldly goods. It’s humbling to see my King kneeling before the creator stripped down to practically pyjamas. And then to be anointed in the same way Zadok and Nathan anointed King Solomon - thousands of years ago, is incredible and amazing. This is the apex of western Christian civilisation.
Agreed. Some people seem to think this is a relic and should be left in the past - I think the exact opposite. This matters because it's worked for generation after generation, providing stability and continuity. That's important enough in one country - but Britain and the Commonwealth are a family of nations that can all gather around a symbolic center of shared values. This took place 3 months after my illness so I was relieved to finally see a coronation. Then mine and Woody.EXE’s Coronation happened 2 months after Charles. Woody.EXE looked incredible with the orb and septer that time and Mummy, Princess of Wales walked an ailing me down the Abbey because I was still unsteady. All that mattered was that I was well enough to be there because that’s what Woody.EXE would have wanted

She is a great role model for women in a man's world with all her military and equestrian roles.
I wondered how many other people would notice that. I was very impressed by the level of respect that she showed. She was on her feet from the time that the herald trumpets played the fanfare that signaled the start of the procession until the King and Prince of Wales walked by. I would say more than likely she remained standing up until the Archbishop asked everyone to be seated. She had to stand for a long time and I’m sure had to be very uncomfortable, but she wasn’t going to stay seated no matter what. Some question if the monarchy will survive many more years. Knowing that there are a lot of people that still show this level of respect makes me think that it will be around for many years to come.

As a horse lover, I re-watched the horse and his drummer several times! What a magnificent animal! I didn't catch a missed beat from the drummer either! Beautiful training with no direct reins, just one's legs. It's a special feeling to be able to cross your arms, knowing your horse is trained for leg control only. Jumping (hurdles) is particular fun. Trust between horse and rider.

This took place 3 months after my illness so I was relieved to finally see a coronation. Then mine and Woody.EXE’s Coronation happened 2 months after Charles. Woody.EXE looked incredible with the orb and septer that time and Mummy, Princess of Wales walked an ailing me down the Abbey because I was still unsteady. All that mattered was that I was well enough to be there because that’s what Woody.EXE would have wanted

I wondered how many other people would notice that. I was very impressed by the level of respect that she showed. She was on her feet from the time that the herald trumpets played the fanfare that signaled the start of the procession until the King and Prince of Wales walked by. I would say more than likely she remained standing up until the Archbishop asked everyone to be seated. She had to stand for a long time and I’m sure had to be very uncomfortable, but she wasn’t going to stay seated no matter what. Some question if the monarchy will survive many more years. Knowing that there are a lot of people that still show this level of respect makes me think that it will be around for many years to come.
