This is a traditional Purim song of the Bene Israel community of Mumbai, India. Sung by Rivkah Moshe in Marathi; recorded, transcribed, and translated by Jacob Kohn, 3/24
पुरीम पुरीमचा सण आला
Purim has come
इस्त्राएलास आनंद झाला, आनंद झाला
Israel rejoiced
आहाशवेरोश राजाच्या वेळी
During the reign of King Ahashverosh
मोर्देखायावर कठीण वेळ आली, कठीण वेळ आली
It was a time of trouble for Mordechai
त्यासी मारण्याची हामानाने युक्ती केली
Haman plotted his death
पण ती शेवटास नाहीं हो गेली, नाहीं हो गेली
But Mordechai did not die
इच्छा मनीची मनी राहिली
The enemy’s wish remained unfulfilled
ईश्वराची करणी झाली, करणी झाली
God had ensured it
झाली आठवण राजाला
This day is remembered joyfully
इस्त्राएलास आनंद झाला, आनंद झाला
And Israel rejoiced
अरे, दुष्ट हामाना मी तुला
O, wicked Haman…
अनेक प्रकारे उपदेश केला, उपदेश केला
…we explained to you in many ways…
नाही जाणिलेस माझ्या देवाला
…but you did not understand our God
आता विघ्न हे आले कोणाला, आले कोणाला
See now who has gotten into trouble
मारण्यासी यहुदी लोकांना
To kill the Jews…
जाहीरनामा तुने लावीला
…you took out a court order
करुणा आली तेव्हां देवाला
God felt pity on us
इस्त्राएलास आनंद झाला, आनंद झाला
Israel rejoiced
पाचशे माणसे दहा पुत्रांसी
500 people and 10 of Haman’s sons…
येहुद्यानी मारीले त्यांसी, मारीले त्यांसी
…who the Jews killed in retribution
सांगे राजा एस्तेर राणीशी
The King told Queen Esther…
काय मर्जी सांग मजपाशी, सांग मजपाशी
“What is your wish, share it with me”
एस्तेर राणी म्हणे राजाशी
Queen Esther told the King
आणखी एक दिवस ध्या त्यांसी, ध्या त्यांसी
Give them one more day
जैसे मारिले पहिल्या दिवशी
The way he would have killed us…
त्याप्रमाणें मारावे त्यांशी
…do the same to them
तीनशे मनुष्ये मारिले खांशी
300 men were killed…
दहा पुत्रांशी दिले हो फाशी, दिले हो फाशी
…Haman’s 10 sons were hanged…
नाही हात लाविला लुटीला
…but the Jews did not loot anyone
इस्त्राएलास आनंद झाला, आनंद झाला
Israel rejoiced
सर्व प्रांतातील येहुद्यांनी
Jews from every region…
जीवाकरितां उभे राहुनी, उभे राहुनी
…stood up for themselves…
वैऱ्यापासूनी विसावा पाहुनी
…and finally found peace from their enemies
आणखी मारीले शोध शोधुनी, शोध शोधुनी
They killed their enemies after searching for the troublemakers
पंच्याहत्तर हजार मोजुनी
In total it was 75,000
देशातले होते म्हणोनी, होते म्हणोनी
From the whole kingdom
असे करणे होते देवाला
This had been God’s plan
इस्त्राएलास आनंद झाला, आनंद झाला
And Israel rejoiced
मोर्देखायासाठी हामानाने
Haman had made for Mordechai…
केला होता खांब की हो, खांब की हो
…a pillar for hanging
त्याच खांबा वरती राजाने
On the same pillar, the King…
दिले फाशी हामानासी, हामानासी
…hanged Haman…
आदार महिन्याचे चौदावीला
…on the 14th of Adar
इस्त्राएलास आनंद झाला, आनंद झाला
And Israel rejoiced
त्या दिवसास त्याने या मुळे
Hence this day is called…
पुरनामावरून पुरीम म्हटले, पुरीम म्हटले
…Purim from the word “Pur” (“lot”)
आठवण रहाण्याशी शास्त्री लिहिले
Written in the religious books to remember
पीढोन पीढी पाळीत आले, पाळीत आले
For generations we have been following this
आदले दिवशी उपोषण केले
We fast the previous day…
दुसरे दिवशी द्राक्षरस प्याले, द्राक्षरस प्याले
…and drink wine on the next day
म्हणे दास भजा देवाला
Saying to the servant, praise the Lord
इस्त्राएलास आनंद झाला, आनंद झाला
And Israel rejoiced
पुरीम पुरीमचा सण आला
Purim has come

As someone who speaks Marathi, Judaeo-Marathi sounds just like the std one with little hebrew vocabulary. It also sounds more archaic maybe that's because it is a prayer (kirtan) but I am still amazed to watch Bene Israelis preserving their Jew culture along with their unique Marathi language.
