Hey mate. I work as a team lead for Tesco and the Indian ready meals are unbelievably popular. They are high quality and made with care. I have to recommend 2 items to you from that range. The Korma is bloody delicious, but what makes it even nicer is if you get a packet of fridge raiders, throw them in with the chicken in the last 1 minute of microwaving. Seriously bolsters out the meal for an extra pound. Very good if you have the 3 x packs of fridge raiders to use. I know that sounds unappealing but it's all instant food at the end of the day. Another product is in the Tesco finest range. The beef Ragu is unbelievable.
Don't bother with the water and it's an even better meal. Adding water just makes the rice seem heavy - if you get my drift. And ditch the spuds. They're tasteless fillers. They're totally shite. Been, seen, done it. Trust me. I wouldn't put you on a shit steer.
When I lived in India, I lived up North in The Panjaab. During the winter months, me and a few buddys would go down to Goa to hang out with the lovely Eastern European women and of course to give a go to the traditional Goan dishes like Vindaloo. It tasted exactly the same as you would get in a uk Indian restaurant but the heat just hits differently. In India, the heat in curries doesn't hit all in one go like it does here in the uk, but it's like a gradual lingering increase. The best way to describe the build up of heat is much like THAT bit in Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain'.
Looks good I’ll have to give it a go. Love a vindaloo, have you tried Asda chicken vindaloo in a can, it’s very good, chicken is better than the ready meal types, it’s as though it’s been slow cooked, really tender.
Used to make a lamb curry that called for 30 hot chillies plus two tablespoons of chilli powder ( may have been teaspoons I forget) plus all the regular herbs and spices. That was hot extremely hot, but once you had got past the heat (second mouthful the flavour was unmatched.
Hi Gareth, Nice review of Vindaloo. Here in the west of Ireland I have never been able to purchase a Vindaloo Meal . I suppose Indian Restaurants do them but I haven't seen many on Menu's. We are not really able to cope with Spices here yet, Bacon, Cabbage, and Mash yes . but Visit da Loo no not yet. I must check out our local TESCO.

Fantastic Gaz... but a vindaloo at 10 in the mornings a bit extreme.?. but well done for giving us an insight... oh, and the Irvings of Ulverston black pudding/ sausages you recommended were indeed great.. keep them coming.🏴👏👍
yes its cooking whole spices, onions, garlic, ginger, tomatoes and more spices at different stages. Each stage is cooked down so oil separates showing the ingredients has been fully cooked. Many many variations with many different ingredients but it is how incredible flavour is extracted from some of the most cheapest ingredients. Also is why most indian style ready meals fall short as its too expensive to cook them for long enough.
Glad you enjoyed this one Gareth. Not my cup of tea, vindaloo a bit to hot to trot for me. Have you tried the gastropub lamb moussaka from M&S, don’t think you’ve reviewed that one yet, don’t know if it’s your cup of tea but I find it very tasty for a treat meal. Happy munching 😊

Unfortunately there is a lot of it about now and I suppose if was not for the ping meals many would never see hot cooked food, we do need to get everyone back to home made, better and healthier all round.
@@PaoloBanke. I left England 60 years ago,and when I retired at 75,I started watching these channels, and couldn’t believe what has happened to the British diet over the years.I thought the US was the capital of these sort of continence foods, but we have nothing compare to the UK.Very few freezers in our supermarkets, mainly for ice creams, and frozen vegetables, and really hardly any full meals to just heat up at home.We have things like ravioli,or soups,a few pasta dishes, but nothing like you guys have.We have no premade curries, and only one,or two frozen Chinese style dishes.I do think many Americans eat out a lot especially in the cities, but there is a lot of from scratch home cooking going on,again probably more so in the smaller towns, and the vast countryside.😊
How does your meals stay hot out of the micro mine after 1 minute goes Luke warm
Gary eats should try this 🤔🤔🤔he loves extra hot spicy food
Thanks for video
I use to eat two a week, nice but had to stop as I had to use the toilet too many times? A bit too fast and a bit too hot😂😂😂. Those use to be Tesco finest! Don’t thick I have tried the brand you are showing.
Anyone got a link to the other channel this guy has just started...thanks in advance..

...with Geetas mango chutney....
Well, not only did you set my Alexa off so it told me the time, you then set an alarm for 10:19AM on it!
Hey Gareth, I think that's what chicken vindaloo means . Squeaky chicken & hard potatoes in hot sauce. 😮😅😊 A
Potato is always a great addition to a curry
Not always.. Depends!
Only as a side dish - like with a Saag Aloo or an Aloo Ghobi (Spinach and Potato or Potato and Cauliflower).
I do not like the replacement of actual meat with chunks of potato in the main dish.
Not replacement an addition
@@Drew-Dastardlywhat do ya think the aloo part of vindaloo means? 😅
@@raptorak1 Because you are going to have great fun on da loo the next morning?
Love the reviews on this side of the pond. Future cuisines on tap. How is that gym workout been treating you? 🤣

That looks good! Thanks for another honest review 💜💜💜
😊My pleasure 😊
Have you ever considered cooking a suggested meal from scratch? That would give us a more balanced approach to choosing food in the supermarket.
I remember helping my grandfather in the garden, back in the eighties and we would always stop for ELEVENSES. We never heard of brunch in those days 😃
Oh yes we had the elevenses, used to work at a place were they took toilet breaks (smoke breaks) in turn before elevenses and then after leading up to lunch then again after lunch.
Looks good 👍
I had this about year ago I was surprised I handle it. To me that was not that hot enjoyed it felt it was spicy but not over the top. Used to have Rogan josh alot from tesco but recently tried it and was not all that and they used to be good and may I add when I was having them get two for 6 pound now its not and that rogan is poor now used to be really good. Sorry I ranted on a bit there 😂😂😂
All them Tesco curries are nice you can get 3 for £7.50, I eat them all the time.
Brunch is between breakfast and lunch . Thats why its called brunch.
In polite society it is called Elevenses.
Elevenses is more just a tea/ coffee and cake or biscuits. Brunch is more substantial. Are you saying im not polite?@@Drew-Dastardly
@@emmaparker5302 Gaz literally admitted to eating a Vindaloo at 11 o'clock!
But inbetween lunch and brunch is called Blunch 😂
