God, I love it when raptor and Sherman upload the same mission so we can see their different playstyles.
When I was playing this alone (I'm not a fantastic player, and I like taking my time,) it took me four hours to defeat the Japanese. It was really quite fun though. Hinkel should keep up the good work.

Smoke will work, but it has it's requirements. You're trying to use stealth when using smoke, and if your men shoot then they are revealed. Same mechanic as a big bush. I know it is tricky and timing with area of coverage is important too. I love the vids Raptor, thanks.
SirHinkel...once again you have made another nightmarish map with dead on mortars and machine gun nest that wipe out entire companies of Americans and with superior infantry that can hose down entire squads...I salute you SirHinkel for providing me an hour's worth of laughing swearing and nerve wrecking...and am not even playing! :P

70,000 Marines stormed the beach of Iwo Jima that was defended by 19,000 Japanese. In about a month of fight the Marines lost almost 7,000 Marines. I've talked to Vets that fought in the battle and I could only imagine what it was truly like. One of the greatest honors I had in life was being able to visit the island of Iwo Jima.

This mission is much easier with 2 people. It took me almost 2 hours to do this alone because I had to focus on one area exclusively.

Why there is no counterattack? Most mod i have seen either have an awful Rambo nonsensical attack when the infantry just runs at you in the open field or the AI keep the hole game holding the same position without moving, when this happens you can most of the time kill them off with mortars pretty easily.

Meet Tojo and fuck face - Pacific
Nobody has yet to do an amazing Iwo Jima map like the Islan had no trees there were tunnels all across the island and he troop had trouble getting off the beach because of a 10 foot incline on the beach. The tunnels were connected to every pull box and fox hole on the island so when one group of soldiers were killed more could take their place almost instantly. The shape of the island on the map looks good I'll give them that but from a historical aspect it's not close with the actual gameplay but you did good with placements of artillery and pill boxes atleast people try to represent what it looked like still good job but to do these kids of battles research needs to be done
