Sorry for the _slight_ audio delay in the video, I am not sure how it snuck in but I will watch the next videos extra well to make sure it doesn't happen again, enjoy your weekend!
Interesting that in the German army of the cold war you were trained (advised?) to use the "2" in the G3 even at close range, with "1" only at special circumstances. We used the "1" normally when we were at the shooting range shooting at targets 100 or less. I'm talking about Greek army btw.
sherman once again a great gameplay!Thank you for your work and time put into these.Hope there will be an east german campaign and lets hope so for more factions and massive battles!!Keep it up man
I keep thinking the guy who made the scenario is a genious when it comes to videos like this, then I always realize it's a DLC lol. The AI plan and execution is on point. Whoever works at these operations should have a medal for drawing the AI battle plans :p
He did in the first episode, but someone complained how that was not how they used it and that the 100m range is for certain circumstances like wearing a gas mask.

Actually, the MG3's front handle is the bipod - unlocked. For longer distances, the gun belt can be detached at the buttstock and split, so yu can put your head through thus shifting some weight to your neck.
I love this DLC, it is not in your face, it is quite intimate, but I love the eerie athmosphere....I think Arma is one of the greatest game ever, still I think there is great potential that is not used, for example I miss the emotional part that is an essential part of the combat; this part is completely missing but I think essential. For example, seeing a dead soldier on the ground should be acknowledge by the game with an emotional feedback, like a thought expressed by the avatar of the player, or a compagnon nearby, or at the beginning when the mission is assigned, the enemies should be depicted as bad, terrible people we need to defeat, so giving also an emotional background, because as it is now it is all very cold emotionally. I am also aware that creators don't have many resources at their disposal but what I have in mind is pretty simple an easy to implement, an it can basically implemented by using just text (or at best a single narrating voice-over) that adds that sense of despair, angriness, relief, madness. So I am going to write few ideas I had in mind to enhance this feeling (very soon). Let me know if you are interested in my ideas, so I can post it in the comments below. Thank you!
I would have taken ages to inch toward the church tower, enter, and kill the sniper, but blowing the tower off with rockets is another way, I suppose... if a little impious.
Using the TCL mod will make for a better watching experience and a better gaming experience Sherman! You should really use it! A fun campaign can't be enjoyed without a fun AI to fight against.
There seems to be a minor delay/desync on the game audio, dunno if that was something that happened in the recording or in post but just figured I'd give you a heads up if you weren't aware.
Interesting, not sure how that happened, can't really fix that sadly without re-recording, re-rendering and re-uploading it so I will take extra care to make sure that doesn't happen in the next one!
@@theShermanator It's all good, these things slip through sometimes (I'm intimately aware since the same thing has happened to me before) Vid was still perfectly watchable imo, keep up the rad vids my guy!
I can imagine in the Soviets' minds, calling the west berlin Germans Nazis and fascists. Imagine the intrigue between those sides after the 2nd world war. So epic.
Antonis Mitsos I mean West German institutions, ESPECIALLY intelligence agencies such as the Gelhen Organization which was lead by the former Nazi director of intelligence on the Eastern Front, was littered with Nazis. I don’t even want to call them former Nazis cause many kept their beliefs till the day they died, and many war criminals escaped prosecution by serving. In fact the actions of these organizations which ranged from industrial sabotage to assassination was the primary reason the Berlin Wall was constructed.
@@JacatackLP No, the primary reason the wall was constructet, was to keep the people in the country and nothing more. And there were more assanition and sabotage from the RAF (spnsored by the east) than such thing on the east.

I mean its not a big deal, we still enjoy your vid ;)
Btw Sherm, there's an Anti-Tank Assistant in your squad. You can grab some rockets from his backpack when needed.
Wow, the fact that it actually thought of the possibility of shooting it up with a PzF is just amazing.
yeah i was amazed just now too
i mean, who does that? shooting at a structure like that to blow it up
"lets pick up some smoke grenades" picks up frags xD

I was trained ( in the mid 90), to use the „v“-sight at ranges below 100 meters, and the first „0“-sight ( Lochkimme) at ranges above!
