Holyfield so relentless. Tim Bradley reminds me of Holyfield in style, only not as good. A fighter who isn't gifted(physically)as the presenter said in the telecast, but a versatile all around great fighter. Good chin, stamina, durability, boxing skills, loads of heart and determination. Bowe and Lewis were just too big for Holyfield imo. It's OK beating big tall average HW guys, but elite level ones who know how to use the height(Lewis), or size (Bowe), its become that much more difficult. P4P I still think he was a greater fighter.
@@JT-jb4mr Amen! I remember the post-fight for Holyfield vs. Moorer I, Larry, Jim, and George discussed things. And Larry was paying tribute to Holyfield, he greatly admired him - but he said something I'll never forget, "We all play the hand we're dealt - Holyfield got 3 of a kind and played it like a royal flush...tonight, he just ran out of cards....Moorer was dealt a pretty good hand, he's talented - at least a royal flush - time will tell if he can play it like a royal flush". I love the patented Merchant analogy, but how the hell was Holy only dealt a 3 of a kind? The ONLY weakness in his game was power, and that was only at heavyweight. He had everything - speed, power, footwork, reaction time, strength, chin....all the things you just mentioned, and yet people act like he was Mickey Ward or something. (God Bless Mickey Ward). Holyfield is one of the most supreme athletes of the 20th century, and an all-time great pound for pound fighter who could've been the Hagler of cruiserweight if he wanted to, but he dared to be great and conquer Goliath. Favorite fighter of all times...
Adding more to that, is that WTF gifts did Michael Moorer have over Holyfield? I think he was a good fighter whose only major downfall was his chin, but he was not faster than Holy, did not have the athletic mobility as Holy, nor the chin, so the only thing you could say he was gifted with was more power. That's what really irked me about the comment by Larry.
Very young Riddick Bowe in Holy's camp

Not gifted Physically? Just look at him. 6”2 over 200 pounds with speed, power, chin, athleticism, stamina, he was gifted physically

Duva is absolutely hilarious, I've seen him do that bullshit with the trunks at the face-off many times and get people all riled up. Ha.
