Oh, you mean Old Seamas Gallagher? Oh sure, sure, EVERYONE do be knowin' old Seamas Gallagher. Yah sure, ya do be findin' him out by de docks deez dayz, fishin' up silverpike and harrassin' de Sea Folk.
4:20 The mandalorian director chimes in: you do not reveal your face in front of others, even on TV. 🤣 The more I think about it, I'm not sure this is as much of an ironclad rule as I would have thought at first, too. While having to convey emotions and a story without facial expression is probably much harder, there are precedence in the past where it has been done. Darth Vader, The Man in the Iron Mask, pretty much all Batman movies and a couple of other Superhero movies.
Exceptions to the rule do not mean the rule doesn't exist. Exceptions stand out *because* they are exceptions. In fact, in some of those, they actually prove the rule (I haven't seen all of them so I don't know), but the person in the mask in some of those does in fact take their mask off in an incredibly emotional scene. There's a reason for that. And again, just because there are exceptions does not negate the rule. If I were to do nothing but list all the movies and shows I've seen where people were wearing head/face protection and took it off so the actors could act, this comment would go on for multiple paragraphs, if not pages.
The funniest thing about Demandred is that aside from his ego, does he not realize that in the actual Last Battle the avatar of the Light might be directly fighting the Dark One/his avatar? Was Demandred left so far out of the loop he doesn't he isn't Nae'blis?
21:00 I had the opposite problem having only read the books and not listening to the audio books. I had my own pronunciations for the characters and almost NONE of them were correct. I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to pronounce Nyneave, for example. (I somehow didn't notice that the pronunciations were in the glossary!) Similar to reading Harry potter and not knowing how to pronounce Hermione.
Had the same problem with Eye of the World, discovering the glossary only after reading it. That is the one advice I would give to new readers: "There is a glossary with the pronounciations at the end".
Definitely showing my age, because my first encounter with audiobooks was on cassette. So the full WoT series (had it been written) would have needed.. let's see, about 460 hours for the series, probably using C60s with 30 mins per side, so yeah, about 460 casettes. In standard cases, end-to-end, that's over 50 yards of tapes. Sure, longer tapes exist, but the C60 is probably the best compromise between duration and durability, since the way they tend to get longer is by using thinner tape.
2nd meme: 1. she's not aiel, she's andoran. 2. she thought the fight was over. 3. she was literally fighting while pregnant, another aiel no no. 4. she was in active labor, fuck the stupid veil
Gawyn also defended Egwene against the 3 Bloodknives while Egwene was in the World of Dreams. Without Gawyn, they would have killed Egwene. I am not a Gawyn fan. Yet I have to give the devil his due here. He did not let Siuan go out of the niceness of his heart. He had other reasons. First, Min was a friend of Egwene and Elayne. Second, he believed that Siuan knew where Elayne was at that time. Had he not let her go, Gawyn was certain Elaida would kill Siuan and she would take her secrets to the grave.

Dredd in the movie of the same name. V in V for Vendetta. It *can* be done.

27:50 I forgot I posted that.
It's Power Rangers in Space. She was going to be good. But villains caught her, amd brain washed her back to being evil

There were some really good ones in this group! (My favorite was the "Come for me, Lews!" one 😁) You ARE catching up, I believe in you!!

So Lan, is a man-dragon... well, he's just a man. In contrast, Trogdor was a dragon-man... well, he was just a dragon.
Having a great time, knows more than they are sharing is Demandred. It's the pic on the Wot Wiki

Dang, I'm going to have to go back into Meme production mode. Lezbi Nerdy is catching up quickly.

Meme Review? Meme Review!
I actually quite liked Gawyn for a lot of the books. I see him as tragic and frustrating.
He also saved Egwaynes life when she was in TAR and the blood knives came for her!
English is three languages in a trench coat. And they argue over which three they are. We get words from dozens of languages and it confuses.

Is "character feels like plot" another way of saying "strongest ta'veren?"😉
I've been arguing that he feels like an NPC; character feels like plot is probably more accurate :)
Sorry Demandred; but you're just Johnny Snow.

The dress was sky blue and gold. Any other answers are wrong.
