I have no words to express my love for these songs.i sang them in the early 70s when I was a teenager.am still listening to them especially when am in a world of my own, alone with no disturbance.i love country music
They Were A Fabulous Duet ,that was when Country Music WasTotally Real Country I as a Country Music Fan loved these two seen them in concert twice and I'll Never Ever Forget these two Fantastic Entertainers E
I love this old country songe as the music from todays music is not worth nothing at all so keep the old classics songs coming ok as us old folks like the old music classic .
My family has been country music lovers since we were children.. Back then the real music singers we knew were JimReeves Charlie Pride and these 2 iconic singers.. My younger brother went on to be a very good guitarist and an.outstanding singer.. I remember all the lovely times we got together and had country music sing alongs and their songs was enjoyed by all.. Sadly my brother passed away last but he lives on in.our hearts and we listen to beautiful voice in his music that was recorded
There is nothing I don't love about Dolly Parton. From her beautiful voice to her feminine looks. From her warm personality to her quick wit and flirtatious sense of humor. From her infectious laugh to her absolutely gorgeous smile. To me, Dolly Parton is about as perfect as they come. Carl Dean is one lucky man.
Well it don't get much better than Porter & Dolly this is a show I never knew this happened . They were among the best duo ever right up there with Conway & Loretta and George & Tammy . You could flip a coin as far as I was concerned because all three of them were great in there own way ...
Johnny Duncan and Miss Janie Fricke will be thoroughly underappreciated until Judgment Day's Trumpet sounds! Shockingly underappreciated especially is Ms. Fricke for her legendary duets with Moe Bandy and Vern Gosdin.🎤🎹🎸🎼❤🌹B.W.
so do i. a very cherish-able voice. the voice that takes away stress and words loaded to build you forever. i love you Dolly. my favorite singer. live from Botswana
I remember this song when I was a little boy ,, I would put cover over my face and think what it must be like to be dead ,, I would hold my breath as long as I could ,, and then raise up ,,, I knew even as a child that real dead people that the light by the grave ,, it would not work ,, that people had to have the real light of God in there lives in order to never die ..and me seven years old ..I Love Porter and Dolly ..so much ,,,God bless both of them , I ask God to bless the dead in body ,, God can bless us alive in the flesh or even after we have passed from the body of flesh and moved over to the other world of spirit ,,, God can pass between these two worlds ,,, Love Porter and Dollys music ,, always have ..
I never heard Dolly's duets with Porter.. their voices blend so well. Dolly's tone is so unique and beautiful.. Porter's tone shows off her voice so beautifully. Cant blame her for wanting to go off by herself.. but I could listen to this music all day too.
I remember this I was 6 years old. Im in my 50's now and listing in 2019. I love Dolly Parton so much. This is when county music was real. The world has changed so much since 1973. Incredible how Dolly grew right along with it. She is a true Legendary Star!🥰
When I was a kid, this was my favorite show! I have loved County music all my life, plus Elvis! Grew up on him, my parents loved him! I was barn in 1953! Yeah, I am old and proud of it!
Nope. Dolly extended Porters career. His show would have sunk years earlier, if not for Dolly being on it. Besides that, nearly all the folks that knew him, with the exception of Dolly, said he was an a$$hole. Think he tried to get into her pants for years and couldn’t. Really pissed him off.
I watched this show when I was a kid with my parents. We seldom missed an episode. You forget how good this show was or how well the music was even 50 years later. Dolly Parton became a superstar under Porter Wagoner. I think Dolly Parton helped make Porter Wagoner a whole lot better too. I wish television shows were made like this today. Country music like this has been the only music I have liked all of my life.
Jeannie's afraid of the dark, I will never forget that song, the man I was dating, his uncle cried every time this came on the radio, he had a little girl that was born stillborn! It broke his heart! Will never forget that!
I am watching! Actually listening while I watch football. Love this stuff, as well as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix. Music the true window of the soul.
I was born in 1969 and by 1973 I can remember this show. My Pepaw Ting would tell my Memaw Elsie that he couldn’t stand Dolly & he called her ol pee face but deep down he had a crush on her. Even in blindness he’d listen to her music. That was a long time ago, great days in Cadiz Kentucky and I miss those days and the elders with all my heart. 🇺🇸
This show along with the Wilburn Bros show were all I could get during the 60's in CA. But I always loved watching them - thanks for this one (I do remember this episode very well!)
Dolly has been my favourite from long ago. There's some calmness that comes with listening to Dolly's songs. Her duet with Porter is awesome,, felt sad when they fell out and Dolly had to pay Potter lots of 💰💰💰💰....
Not only is Dolly the most magnificent Country singer note how she alters the phrasing, like Billie Holiday or Frank Sinatra, Jazz style, wrapping her beautiful voice all around the melody. The more you listen to Dolly the more you hear.
My husband our two boys and myself went to Buck Lake Ranch in Angola Indiana in the 60’s to see Dolly and Porter. Norma Jean is the one who recommended Dolly to Porter when she was living his show.
I have no words to express my love for these songs.i sang them in the early 70s when I was a teenager.am still listening to them especially when am in a world of my own, alone with no disturbance.i love country music

Dolly and porter are the best combination
I think Porter fell in love with Dolly [ and who can blame him] but they ware both married. I suspect she did not see Porter that way.
You nailed it.....
@@patrickbrady447 from the body language it is obvious that Dolly and Porter were in love.

True, true, true but Dolly would have made it big no matter what; she's just too good a singer.
i believe dolly would have made it on her own. porter just took her under his Pole for a while
Nope. Dolly extended Porters career. His show would have sunk years earlier, if not for Dolly being on it.

These songs of Dolly Parton were the best romantic songs in the seventies in Kenya.
