Woah I was just as surprised as Rocco to realize it's Birthday Hell Month already. Time really flies.
It was nice to hear the con talk. I help run a convention in Michigan, and we would have these big time guests invited for the first couple years of running it. However, we were losing some money on it because we had to cover their charge for being there because there weren’t enough people who bought their stuff, so we stopped having them come. Once we did that, A LOT of people stopped wanting to come because of that and complained we didn’t have them anymore. We still had the amazing vendors, the sick game room, and live game shows, but apparently only came for the guests. It’s our #1 complaint, and I’ll never get it. Thankfully the 2nd con we run is a horror convention with an international film festival attached to it as well!
Are you comfortable saying what conventions they are? I live in southern MN and I've thought about traveling to MI for conventions.

Garret is right, yeah the ad could've parodied ANY other IP but DBZ is GIGANTIC in South America. Did they have to do it low budget "DBZ in 5 minutes" style? No, so I totally get the suspicion there lol
Feel like Mega64 does unironically influence the internet atmosphere but with the cup noodle shit just confirms what I've been thinking for a while
Mega64 are the Norm Macdonald of UA-cam. They may not be the most popular creators, but they are watched and loved by all of the most popular creators.

You guys need to get in touch with Nissin USA/Global. Brazil is a big country, the branch there probably does things on their own. Thing is if their commercial is sucessfull then it becomes a free proof of concept for you gys.

No caffeine, alcohol and other drugs and no (refined/ added) sugar will help a lot.
Y'all may already have learned but the green tint is a quirk of the DVD/Blue-ray releases. There are YT videos that analyze the original theater master without the tint, compared to the post-theater releases. They definitely could have done the tint in the new trailer on purpose with this in mind since it's a key part of the cultural zeitgeist, but it's a cool trivia.

Shawn its probably a tension headache if its like right above your eyes. If your back and neck are tense it kind of pulls on your whole head and can cause really bad headaches
Could be a cluster headache, too. I used to get those all the time. It feels like someone is filling up a balloon behind your eyeball, which is trying to pop out.
He needs to stop wearing sunglasses indoors. It's not going to help. It'll just make him more sensitive to headaches in the long run.

God damn I don't know if it's just me but the podcast lately has been the best it's been in years. So many fucking good moments and stories these last few months.
It's interesting how Rocco said they were showing Enter the Matrix at the premiere of Reloaded, and I love how they aren't putting Morpheus in the new movie because he died during an event in the Matrix MMO. They seem to stand by the legitimacy of the video game adaptations which is not something movies ever do, I just think that's neat

This is a great dynamic. Group of people discussing what's on their minds, what they find interesting or exciting. Even just personal experiences they've had. Very natural and enjoyable to listen to. I wish Mega Strange was a bit more like this, that podcast feels a bit forced and over-prepared (Derrick brings like 10 documents to recite/quote, out of fear there isn't enough to say).
Just shooting the sh*t with your friends is a fun experience, even for the listeners/viewers. We just want to hear you talk about what's on your mind. Derrick is very smart, I really enjoy listening to what he has to say, not when he reads from a piece of paper (because that's not his opinion/insight, it's someone else's).
Either way. I love you guys and want to support you and see you be successful. I hope I don't sound like I'm bashing or being negative. It's constructive criticism. I'm 34, been watching you since I was 19. Long time fan.

@@Zeeco49 I see him trying really hard and putting in a lot of work. I respect that but it's counterintuitive in some cases. Just be yourself kind of thing. It doesn't hurt to do some research but just bring some condensed bullet points or put it in your own words. It's a bad sign when you have to print out multiple pages.
@@VHPHighlights I liked it a lot more before they rebranded to Mega Strange. They had good discussions and cool guests sometimes. Now it's a weird strange facts hodgepodge of information that isn't interesting. Call me old-school but I would rather hear them talk about games, music, movies or anything relatable.

I had regular bad headaches. Finally discovered it was something to do with my sinuses and I got surgery and it improved. Also another kind of headache I get comes from soreness in my traps, so I massage the area in my back, right up top, between the shoulder and neck.
