Core difference is that Sasha's jokes often end up being at the expense of the people pranked, whereas Bad Trip didn't feel like it was punching down.

babe pig in the city is a masterpiece, directed and produced by the guy who made mad max, babe is literally jesus
I think that the story of bad trip was supposed to be simple, but I liked that the movie didn’t need more to carry momentum of the pranks. It was at least an hour and a half of solid pranks and reactions and i enjoyed it for what it was.

What's sad about what Derrick said in regards to the new Aquaman swimming, I guarantee they sat around and went "That looks DUMB, it'd look way more EPIC if he just propelled himself through water instead of swimming". Studios are single-handedly just reducing visual storytelling down to a handful of things because they "look cool".

Garrett hit the nail on the head with that ending of Last of Us 2. That game was one of my absolute favorites from last year and I didn't expect to like it as much as I did.
I would understand if that 1 dislike was Shawn.

I just want to thank Rocco personally for recommending the Pretzel crust pizza last week. It was the best fucking pizza i've ever had.
Bad Trip was great, it wasnt meant to be about the plot at all. It was about the pranks and it delivered amazingly on that front.
I would love to see a Paranormal podcast with Johnny and Derrick with aliens, ghosts. Stuff like that

I get it Derrick, I love Robert Patternson and Zac Efron because they each have had standout roles beyond their break out hits, and many of their roles are legitimately good. There is something appealing about a person or character you write off as vapid, only to proven wrong and enjoying their work or arc.

Same. Acting alongside a legendary actor like Dafoe seems daunting but Pattinson really held his own. I’m down for whatever he does next.

after the 519 I took a break from the podcast. Bit burned out and thought the calls were being handled poorly which ended up being a hurdle for callers not being weird. It's actually great seeing how the podcast is going now. I hope other people like myself give it another chance

I'm honestly annoyed on the "Bad Trip" take. A big hook of the joke was they're acting out a terribly cliche road trip buddy comedy. Like, when the girl walked into the smoothie place Eric starred at her like the "That's the girl of my dreams" moment but he's doing that while strangers are standing in front of him trying to order. It's not just that the story was bad but it was really on the nose with overused generic story beats that are being used as a vehicle to harass people in public. I think the only thing that bothered me is none of the reactions were as good as reactions he gets on his Adult Swim show.

You can't forget Dane Cook was good because he was one of the first to do what he did at his level. People were influenced by it and now it's everywhere with tons of people doing it. But it was new and thats why we all loved it. Now it's basic and we moved on but back in the day it was fresh to the scene and great original comedy. The vibes he gave were new. I am a data analyst and build algorithms that do shit like automatically tag videos etc. (not exactly this, but it is the same almost everything behind it)
You can think of it analogous to how a spam filter works - something said some word or phrase or something enough times and a big combination of different things you said lead to the algorithm thinking you *likely* are spam, or misinforming people, and it will tag it as such.
Overall accuracy is only one measure of the algorithm's performance. There is also precision and sensitivity (aka recall). Precision is here would be what % of the flagged videos are actually misinforming people. Recall would be what % of the misinforming videos were successfully flagged. There is of course a trade-off between precision and recall. More precise model => less sensitive. More sensitive => less precise. UA-cam is probably prioritizing recall, and is interested in flagging as many videos containing misinformation as possible, so it will flag based on almost anything.
The trade off is again lower precision, so some of the videos that are not really misinforming anyone (such as yours) will also get flagged.

I agree with most of the stuff you guys said about Bad Trip, but I can't help but think any conversation about mixing story with in public prank/reaction elements mixed in is incomplete without having seen Nirvana the Band the Show. I seriously consider Borat, Mega64, and NtBtS to be the three pillars of the genre.
I don't know anything about Benny Hill other than that,
1. He gets in Mr.Bean-esque antics.
2. He fucks.

I liked in Bad Trip that they were doing the non-prank scripted lines in public, I didn't expect that. The pranks were alright, you do get tired of them though.

Something you guys you said a million years ago was that your stunts were things that shouldn't upset people and the comedy comes from the people that do react. I felt like the Eric Andre stunts were all on people that were all well meaning people trying to help and it was kind of a bummer. Some stuff was definitely funny but I also think Borat did that a lot better that the stunts were on people that set themselves up or they didn't even know they were being messed with.

This critique of the snyder cut on Derricks behalf, only proves that The Irishman is a shit movie as well, seeing as nothing fucking happens for 2 hours other than old actors, slightly CGI'd trying to relive their glory days.
