That's a beautiful boat, and I look forward to watching videos as you rehabilitate her.....
Thank you!
Man I love how your documenting the boat fixes and especially on carvers! I'm buying a 83 3207 aft cabin as a live a board later this summer and am very happy with the sheer roominess of the boat, dry head and queen bed in a 32 ft package! Maybe I'll upgrade to a larger and newer Carver yacht like this one in a few years
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Beautiful
Thats a great boat. My stepdad had the 33 mariner. Sold it for new 33 Voyager. It was a hard choice between that and the first version of this boat. This was 1984 if I remember right.
Thats quite a dream machine there! wow that interior is fantastic!
Thank you! I just posted an update.....
Nice boat Jeff. Hope to see a couple more videos of the 78!
Excited for you, great looking boat.
Very exciting!
Best of luck with it. Congrats
I recently purchased this boat. Same year. Do you know if the couch opens for storage? Can’t figure out how.
I am going down to the boat tomorrow morning
Let's check out inside the boat
Im with you, how can people let something the expensive and beautiful get in such a state of disrepair...
Really like the video's but turn down the music. couldn't hear you talking
I need to find a boat
I sold my boat because it was too big
I need to find my carver356
Are you going to have some episodes about the restoration and trip back to Prairie du Chien?
Yes, working on it.
I just posted the video on the 356!
Music set too loud......put your earpiece in when editing
Yeah, I kind of thought the same thing. Thanks for confirming... I'm boring to listen too anyway... Will continue to do better and improve with time...
@@JeffNiemeier you’re not boring.
People who watch your videos don’t watch it for the music lol. They watch it for your story and to see the boats you are working on.
I’d prefer no music. It’s adds nothing and takes away from it.
Please don’t take this as a criticism but rather as a compliment on your content being good enough to not need musical embellishment.
Thanks for the video.
And yes, I’m a member of the “buy an old boat and fix it up B.O.A.T. Club” too! lol
I don't understand why people play music over their talking not being an a hole lol just get it enjoy the videos im a boat lover too good job
I know it is too loud... Will do better next time! Thanks for the input.
How much did the Carver 356 Aft cost to purchase?
$48k, which is below market but represents the distressed condition of the boat...
@@JeffNiemeier Wow that's a great price for that boat!!!
How much does it cost you to travel from Chicago to Grafton and the 356 Carver? I guess you never said how much fuel on video. Thank you in advance.
April 2021 was $4,000 in fuel... Ran up on plane most of the way. 60-100 miles per day...
Whole trip was $4k. Seneca, IL to Grafton, IL was 2.5 days and maybe $1,000? Gased up 3 times...
What is fuel burn at cruise? Thinking about getting a 1999 356 with Crusader 454s
Jeff I need updates!!!
Working on it... Been a busy summer...
I just posted an update!
Inside
nice boat, typical youtube, MUSIC IS TOO LOUD I CANT HEAR YOU
Did you sell the '78 or keeping both?
I'm not done with the 78 so keeping both for now. Once I feel the 78 is ready, we will sell.
Nice boat but get rid of music can't hear you
Yep, I know.. Can't change it now...
I am slid to you Good night to you Good night dear Carver boat
Put your ear pods on
As a transporter, I friggin hate carvers! Their hulls are paper thin, and ALWAYS get deformed. Any time we transport one, the owner signs an agreement because they're so fragile
What about Hatteras? Are they built better?
Too bad music was wayyyy to loud
Yep, I know... Will do better next time...
This would have been a good video but the music overlay was just too loud.
Music Too Loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know... Sorry...
Argh. Could you get some more annoying music?
Sorry, will do better next time.
