One thing I was not expecting when riding this was the inital rotation of the seats before the arms lift. You are face to face with the metal flooring, which was a fun surprise before the ride gets going. I really enjoy these multi axis rides, as it disorients very easily.
@IceKingXxxRS You'll notice that ride makers actually try to make them more intense by tumbling you around worse and worse. 20 years ago, there was a ride called the High Roller which was on an oval track that flipped around while the train of cars made a slow circuit. I called it the "Dryer".
It has many names hi roller crazy train kick flip it's a mini version of a larson lopper but it's not a circle that makes it go around but it does spin
,Dam I got on that ride & I felt like I was slipping out when we would turn upside down.! My phone feel out of the ride & it survived! lol I love this ride got it like 12 times C:
My sympathies. Protracted motion sickness is indicative of other factors including hydration levels, empty stomach to start with, existing ear condition. I started to get sick on Cyclone Sam's @ World's of Fun, but I averted it by looking at the center of the ride. I wasn't sick when I left the ride. When I was small, going to the beach or the amusement park caused me to have a dizzy head when I tried to go to sleep in the evening.
It is my understanding that this ride is presented by Caprice, not Ray Cammack. As for rides being MIA, there are many touring carny companies which have contracts at fairs, etc. Some unique attractions may not show because the company's contract wasn't renewed at the venue.
Someone did their homework. I'm sure lots of people appreciate the info. Meanwhile, the recession hasn't deterred folks from attending fairs. The same can't be said for theme parks.
@disconatasha I find that most roller coasters are more tolerable than some of the newer multi-axis spinners. Teens and young adults seem to favor these dizzying rides. But I admit that looking at them is also quite fun. Thus I have many hits on this video.
This ride doesn't beat you up. The g-forces are there but not super intense. It doesn't even really disorient you. What it does do well however is give you a Big Fat Headache! Because the direction and timing of the rotation causes the blood to rush to your head relentlessly for a minute and a half. :)
@aanathanaa What about the companies other rides? If they didn't maintain this machine, chances are their other rides are just as faulty. Every year before the fair starts, a news story is run and the various fun zone operators vow and declare that they run daily checks on their rides. Bad press is murder on an amusement business.
Idk how anyone would want to ride on these types of rides. Like really, who likes this shit. I understand it being your first time and not knowing what to expect. But people who enjoy it and go on multiple times. Please explain...lol
That rides looks fun. I hope they have one of those when I go 2 the fair this year...

I love this ride. Last two times I went to the L.A. County fair they didn't have it anymore.
The RCT3 'Whirling Dervish' LOL
OMG I wanna friggen go on this!
This ride's especially cool at night with the fog and strobe lights.
I wish RCS would bring this back to the L.A. County Fair. It's been MIA for the past few years.

This ride made me sick yesterday. I threw up 6 times when I got home.
My county fair needs something like this!! At least we just got a new log flume this year!!

I LOVE THIS RIDE.
@xxkatiekatyxx When you're looking at it from the outside, you don't have the g-forces so onride it seems to move faster because of the forces.
@jeanmarie40 Thanks. I never thought that it would garner 36k views.
In San Diego, it was missing last year but back again in a different location 2013.
Someone did their homework. I'm sure lots of people appreciate the info. Meanwhile, the recession hasn't deterred folks from attending fairs. The same can't be said for theme parks.
thumbs up for on-ride! :D
I miss this ride ever since RCS dropped it years ago.
Helm and sons dropped it too 😭😭

Thanks for the info. They're idiots not to renew the contract.

I didn't know what I was riding and I rode this and when I was at the very top my phone fell off :((
I'm pretty sure I'd die
The zipper largely tumbles you forward on one axis. This ride is more disorienting yet not as rough.
Great Ride !
Very short ride but i believe for many people its long enough
since im skinnier than the restraint my body was flopping everywhere and it hurt
I wish they put that ride on sb
@disconatasha
Same here....watching this is as close as I will ever get.
I could not ride this! All of my vital organs would end up in that metal platform...
sit back and relax

Isn't this kinda similar to Twin Flip?
OH SHIT! i wanna get on this
