Yea, i noticed that as well. But losing Lillypad is death for Pool Levels... kinda like losing Puffshroom early on is death.
And it was brutal that he lost Graveater so early.

I have a question for my fellow pvz philosophers: In the context of this challenge, is Wall-Nut First Aid kind of just the Wallnut of Theseus? Like, if you plant a wallnut over another one, is that considered a new wallnut or still the original one?
I would personally say that the new walnut simply replaces the older, more damaged walnut. And the damaged one goes off screen when we don't look and heals from it's scars
ive always viewed it as the two nuts just kinda melding together and becoming one nut. after all, one good nut is better than two bad nuts.@@YungMarinara

I think we need to take the wall nut's and tall nut's conciousness into consideration. I as a kid and also me now as an teenager, think wall nut aid fills the broken part. The problem with this theory is that where the wall nut's conciousness that filled it go? Did the two conciousness merge? Or it actually replaced the damaged wall nut's conciousness but still had some of its body because the second wall nut filled the rest? It is unlikely that someone would answer it. So it would remain a mystery for now, and also, at the heat death of the universe.
It's called wall-nut first aid, so you're not replacing them.

Man, this challenge is harder than an actual Pokemon Nuzlocke. I tried it and couldn't get any further than 2-3. Pretty impressive you managed to get to the Fog levels! But here's a question: how will you beat Dr. Zomboss with these rules?

Beating Zomboss with Nuzlocke rules is definitely impossible, with the chance of the van attack smashing your plants instantly LOSING on the spot since the Flower Pot dies as well

5-5 is defiantly one of the hardest levels in this challenge since cherry bomb is used up in either 1-10 or 3-10 if your unlucky

Imagine doing the same challenge but with these 2 restrictions:
1) You are allowed to shovel a plant. But if you do, you can never use that plant again.
2) If you lose a level, you can never usr any plant that you used in that level ever again. You are also allowed to restart a level because if you do, same thing happens. (For example: If you used a pea shooter, a sunflower and a scaredy shroom in a level, and you lose or restart on that level, you can never use those plants anymore)
So in 1-2, he just can’t use Peashooter after 1-1
@@HatdogCheeseD no, that happens only if he loses in 1-1(which, I am not sure if that is even possible). If he wins, that doesn't apply.
You still can't use pea shooters after 1-5 because the game forces you to shovel it.
I mean, technically 1 is already in effect after a single tick of damage lol

Zomboss throwing the van will end the run, since it’ll destroy at least 1 flower pot. Same thing will happen with fire/ice balls, since you can only destroy one each.

as a self-proclaimed professional P&Z player, let me tell you this: if a zombie is biting a plant, if you plant another plant on where the zombie is standing, the zombie will change target to the plant to just planted
21:49 it you plant a lilipad and another nut there, the zombies will change target to the new nut.
this ultimate technique could be your "run saver" in so many situations

You can try that same challenge again but on the Console Version of PVZ. You can ask your Player 2 buddy to help you keep your plants alive

Logic checks out for plants like Blover and Grave Buster. They’re not killing themselves by being used like how Cherry and Potato explode, they just leave once they’re done doing their stuff.
Great attempts at this challenge, & I LOVE your commentary & editing style. Funny & entertaining.
Another neat challenge is No Sunflowers or Sunshrooms. I actually attempted that many years back over on my (long-neglected) gaming channel. Got all the way to the fog & balloon night level, stopping there due to it seeming impossible. Though I've since found out that one CAN surpass it with the right zombie/lane RNG, just can take a LOT of retries.
Might be a good challenge to consider doing too.
