24:28 - I guess what Kurt is saying is the first two hours of practice are kinda like a warm-up, the real 'exercise benefits' only come if one persists after that. Meaning 2 hours of daily practice is simply not enough. I've heard Kurt on another interview saying that whenever he can, he'll put in 6 hours a day. And when he wants to go 'next level', he'll do 10 hours daily. And he also mentioned that he has done that countless times - sometimes even longer. I'd be curious to know how he breaks down his routine.

He insists on the idea of going beyond the "burn off" ...what exactly does he mean by "burn off"? Does he mean that after 2 hours one is kind of tired and should therefore break through that fatigue and keep going to fully own whatever new material one is working on? Or, otherwise, what's the meaning of "burn off"? (I'm not a native English speaker)

@@daegabmusic59 I think he means 'burn off' as in 'burning off fat', burn off means getting rid of something unwanted, removing something you don't need, I guess it's like warming up in a sense, you star the first 2 hours by 'burning off' - going through the essentials, getting past them, then after two hours it's like you are ready to actually star absorbing new stuff, getting past you limitations and getting some actual improvement. Maybe that's what he means. Not 100% sure myself.

The greatest musician out there right now bar none. Greatest guitarist certainly in easily the last 30-35 years.

I’ve heard pat martino talk about the guitar as a toy when he was very young and the learning being a thing of play .. that’s interesting

Yeah, that’s the same everywhere: we’re not paid for gigging; we’re paid for standing the eternal airport karma
