For everyone wondering about the strength level of Ancient Gears right now: I was able to reach Top 8 in a 90+ players OTS Championship yesterday, beating Voiceless Voice, Tenpai, Branded and Labrynth along the way. The deck is a lot of fun, so go ahead and give it a try!
@@elitesayanz my list indeed contains a few differences to zephyr‘s. -1 Tanker, -1 Commander, -1 Box (only in side), -1 Catapult, -1 Regulus (only in side), -1 Talents, -1 Called by (only in side) and no Superpoly/Prohibition. Instead I opted to go with Gizmek Taniguku (very important!), a third Urgent Schedule, 3 Ash, 3 Imperm, 2 Lightning Storm and HFD (as backrow is the deck‘s main weakness). Set of boardbreakers is obviously up to personal preference
Quick note on fortress, it locks you into ancient gears- so while it’s super important to have to protect your monsters and keep you safe throughout the lines- be aware of this lock when going first as it will stop you from making any of your interruptions
I used 2 prohibitions & slowed down 2 players. I loved it. I had to sub 1 prohib for magical hound, since my 3rd wasnt here yet. I made naturia beast & killed his deck lol
Sounds cool on paper untill you realize that Earth Machine already struggles A LOT with the extra deck limit and their normal summons, adding AG cards to the mix would probably end up making the situation even worse... but I'm sure someone is going to manage to cook something good with it eventually, all we have to do is wait.
Once Statue and Dragon are finally released it's probably going to get bumped up to at least tier 3 to rogue, but for now it's just an improved and modernized version of the good old Ancient Gear deck, so barely below rogue. One good thing it has going on is that it's extremely cheap to build right now, i managed to buy 3 copies of all the new cards for 5 cents each with the exception of Dark Golem which was at 10 cents lmao
@@ericdalhoff3507 it's really strong and aggressive but the current format dosent favour the deck completely with everyone in 15 ht and you not always able to go 2nd if it goes un answered its game if they know where to stop the end board won't be as great. Fir hunting hound, it's just not really needed anymore the new cards are better starters but if you wanted to play it you could.
Nice deck profile, I personally run 2 lightning storms 2 kaijus 1 HFD and 1 Raigeki also 2 of the OG golem for the megaton to make 3 attacks when opponents does not control a monster.

You can chain urgent schedule to the activation of ancient gear catapult.
Might want to have a look into Gizmek Taniguku, it's the ideal counterpart to our new Golem when using Urgent Schedule!

Yes man it's really good since you can bring back the dark golem from grave search two dump one and fusion from there on with the fusion card

Yeah only for the rest of the turn and only if you destroy it so you can still super poly before hand or during opps turn

We should try a 60 card version with infinitrack and machina mixed in just big machines go bur

@simu1153 yeah I did a full on OTK version but issue is now you can't gurentee to go 2nd so you don't wanna go 1st and clog down on all that
