I haven’t ran many 8000 tractors outside of our 8130 but I noticed you can hear the emergency blinkers in yours. Ours you can’t hear the blinkers at all unless the tractor is off or you turn on one of the turn signals
good to know, so the only time a guy needs the clutch is when you go in and out of park? or maybe you dont even need to do it then as long as the tractor is stopped
Don't worry about clutching. When you go from forward speeds to neutral it will stay in that same gear when you put it back into forward. Same with reverse. That is on the models that I've operated.
It may be whining a bit more because the FWA is on. When driving down the road make you shutoff the FWA, reduce the wear on the tires (because they spin slightly faster the the rear tires) and the FWA clutch.
ya my uncle has a 6200 and he preaches that to me, i thought about it as i pulled onto the road and chcked the symbols but i didnt understand what it meant. i think it was in auto
If it had a beacon and you can't fin the button, it's up under by the radio kinda. We have a 8410 and it took my months to figure out where the beacon switch was, but yes up near the radio
No on our 8300 you dont have to but i usually do abd also dont have to clutch from nuteral to forward but it can be jerky if u dont if its in a high gear or idled up
Don't over use the clutch. You don't need to use it at all while changing into neutral. Clutch only for inching when hitching implements and occasional reversing. There is too much whine from that box. I would question it with your dealer.
No you don't need to clutch you can shift on the go Some people clutch when they shift but I know a lot of other guys that don't clutch when they shipped I know it won't damage the tractor when use when you shift when you clutch cause my body as a tractor just exactly like that and 8130 in he has no problem what's it

When we bought 8220, John Deere said it is easier on the transmission the less you clutch
Farmer Cole does that go for the 72-78-7810? Goin from park into gear on the powerquad
North east Ohio farmer I don't know. I never had a 7000 series tractor or a power quad. I know it works with all newer powershifts
Farmer Cole ok. I was just wondering. I'll do a video on the powerquad transmission sometime
North east Ohio farmer I heard really bad things about power quads around here especially in the new tractors what 2004 and up.
good to know, so the only time a guy needs the clutch is when you go in and out of park? or maybe you dont even need to do it then as long as the tractor is stopped

ill have to experiment with it. thanks looking forward to getting in the field with it.
I enjoy watching your videos that is a really nice tractor but I still like the older tractor's better ...
thanks for watching! don't worry, we can't replace them all
When getting out of a forward gear to neutral I make sure I am below 7th before slapping it into neutral I don’t think it hurts anything.
I think that will be a big plus for planting.
planting and spraying is gonna be awesome
You are not going to want to combine this year, you want to run the cart!!
I always just put it in 6th from nuetral. Only time I use the clutch is unloading and sometimes stoping.

Philip Logemann or put it in auto mode. After a certain gear it automatically shuts off for road speeds
ya my uncle has a 6200 and he preaches that to me, i thought about it as i pulled onto the road and chcked the symbols but i didnt understand what it meant. i think it was in auto
ahh i think that what it was in, thats pretty slick
It's good stuff the IVT made me damn near cry
If it had a beacon and you can't fin the button, it's up under by the radio kinda. We have a 8410 and it took my months to figure out where the beacon switch was, but yes up near the radio
it doesnt have one but id like to add one some day
On that tractor, the switch for the beacon (if there was one) is the switch three to the right of the hazards.
clutching is optional. there are times when it just works the best to stop or hold the machine
The resume button turns your steering on when there is gps
No on our 8300 you dont have to but i usually do abd also dont have to clutch from nuteral to forward but it can be jerky if u dont if its in a high gear or idled up
ya i tried it a couple times and it seems jerky--dont make sense, i like to take off smoothly
The less clutching the better.. I hardly use the clutch in our 8300 or 8260R. Only tractor I clutch with is the 8640
so as long as the tractor is stopped you can go in and out of park without the clutch too?
BornToFarm101 Yes sir. Only time I use the clutch when it's parked is when I have a load on the grain cart or wagons
Ya you can pop it out and put it in gear with no clutch plus it's smoother to do that then to use the clutch
ill experiment with it thanks
That is a lot of whine for that transmission. Are you sure nothing's wrong? I've never experienced it being that loud
Cam Kenimer they all do it. Listen to them working in the field
We have a new Holland ts110 and it goes 27 mph and with the baler on going down a hill, I have got it going 30 mph
holy smokes, thats moving
BornToFarm101 yeah, look up the JCB Fastrac it will go up to speeds at 37 mph but idk why you'd need a tractor to go that fast
Is it or is it not shift on the go without clutching?
still trying to figure that out
Once in forward gear, or reverse, just hold the shifter forward to in essence skip gears. Try it but be prepared to be moving quick!
i gotcha, maybe it shifts smoother that way instead of lurching into each gear
Only thing the clutch is needed for is for hooking up to equipment.
goood to know thanks
Does it have a beacon?
it does not, would be nice tho
Kyle Thurston the first one
It should be ok we have an 8520 and we do that also the wine is normal
ya we were told some whine but it just seems loud. im sure its just fine
Going straight from forward to neutral is pretty much the same thing as using the clutch
My dad pops in gear and into neutral no clutch but I rarely no clutch into gear but almost always no clutch into neutral
alrighty, i just dont wanna be hard on it one way or another thanks
Don't over use the clutch. You don't need to use it at all while changing into neutral. Clutch only for inching when hitching implements and occasional reversing.
There is too much whine from that box. I would question it with your dealer.
good to know, ya my uncle has a 8320 and his whines but not like this.
No you don't need to cluch for it
good to know thanks
BornToFarm101 now need a ivt
We have a 8420 and it whines no more than that one
ya it seems loud but maybe thats just cuz the tranny is brand new?
You do not need clutch at all.i don’t know about that nose?
Where's your pioneer shirt
thats a good shirt! cant ruin it on the farm. lol
Don't ever clutch when u switch directions is what I was taught
yoose the clutch with to cart or if you pop it in you'll stall it or ripp out the transmission
No you don't need to clutch you can shift on the go Some people clutch when they shift but I know a lot of other guys that don't clutch when they shipped I know it won't damage the tractor when use when you shift when you clutch cause my body as a tractor just exactly like that and 8130 in he has no problem what's it
Don't use the clutch unless you have to
good to know thanks
You don’t have to you use the clutch at all
No you dont need to clutch. Should start out in 7th gear also when you put it in forward like an 8300
sweet thanks
No you dont need to use the clutch to go into neutral
thanks
Unless I are backing up to a wagon or something
good to know thanks
You can take of in 7th gear with those
Them power shifts it is very bad to clutch even out of park
ya its a learning curve for us thanks
8430 1974-78
thats what i was thinking
No you don't even need a clutch to take it out of park and the transmission wine is normal
Don't have to clutch
that seems to be the general consensus. thanks
No clutch is bad never clutch
if it were newer you could take of with no clutch but the older ones don't like it
ya we will have to figure out what it likes
No clutch watch your rpms and gear down
sweet, ill try it out, IVT would be awesome
No
now you need get rid of your JD 4630 tractor and get a new smaller tractor.
itd be nice but money is tight and being spent elsewhere now
No you don't even need a clutch to take it out of park and the transmission wine is normal
that was my other question--good to know thanks
