    the Crailgrab looks so dam cool, especially on the frontroll! But somehow I just can't reach it if I'm doing a frontroll

    • @BenBeholzVlogs
      @BenBeholzVlogs  3 роки тому +1

      I know, the crailgrab is super hard to reach in a frontroll as the rotation kind of pulls you away from grabbing it.
      What helped me was to do a really small frontroll only with less power. This might give you some more body control straight after the takeoff...

    • @AscendedBeing87
      @AscendedBeing87 3 роки тому

      @@BenBeholzVlogs thanks, I will give it a try. Cause I try to pull the frontroll overhead as much I can, I'm pretty upright on my upper body. Think this makes I more difficult and I maybe should try to make me more compact

    hi, i wanna switch to boots. do u have any suggestions/tips on how to choose the right ones(sizes, model, year...) thanks

    • @Andreas_K_
      @Andreas_K_ 3 роки тому

      I would recommend VADATEK Boots. vadatek.com/
      Usually say to go down one shoe size I just stayed with my regular size. The boots are really light and step in and out is so nice and makes transition to boots so much easier. Hope this helps.

      Great tip ! I didn’t even know them. Will give them a try next time 🤘

      I hate using new boots for kiting. Even the softest on the market feels still way to stiff for me. I'm always using my old Boots from wakeboarding cause they getting very soft after a while. But right now I don't Wakeboard that much anymore and all my soft old boots will break down soon

    Really nice video. Just a small point. That is not a crail grab it's a seatbelt grab. The crail is on the toeside edge in front of the front foot.

    • @BenBeholzVlogs
      @BenBeholzVlogs  3 роки тому

      Hey thank you, as far as I know:
      Crailgrab - back hand goes to the nose
      Seatbelt - front hand goes to the tail

    • @ronanlong10
      @ronanlong10 3 роки тому

      @@BenBeholzVlogs I come from a wakeboarding background. I'm pretty sure your version of a seatbelt is impossible on a wakeboard. I'd love to see how it's done kiting. I suppose the versatility of styles is what makes kitesurfing such a fantastic sport

    • @BenBeholzVlogs
      @BenBeholzVlogs  3 роки тому

      @@ronanlong10 it is also possible that I‘m wrong. I did a research but I‘m not sure. Do you have any infos about the grab you could send over ?
      Yes, in kitesurfing everything is easier to learn with less pain 😋

    • @ronanlong10
      @ronanlong10 3 роки тому

      @@BenBeholzVlogs Hi Ben, I didn't want to be cheeky but in wakeboarding a crail is back hand toeside edge in front of front foot. Seatbelt is back hand on the nose of the board. Nuclear is back hand passed the nose onto the heelside edge. I'm 100% certain of this.

    • @ronanlong10
      @ronanlong10 3 роки тому

      Granted, I think between the board sports the names do get a little mixed around.

    Sorry for the bitter review, but I’m not sure promoting jump practice for beginner just in front of rock line is a good idea. Pushing too much on the front hand due to focus on the grab, could lead to crash with fast forward speed, and downwind drag. Without helmet.
    Safety in kitesurfing starts with a good spot choice, especially with the intention to try new tricks: it should be the first concern.
    Anyway, I appreciate the positive energy you put in your videos. It would be perfect if I wouldn’t have to explain to my son, why he has to care about certain things that are not explicit safety wise.

      I agree with you - these clips I used for the tutorial were not filmed for a tutorial. This are clips from videos I released already, I often reuse old clips to explain tricks...
