I would call the lightweight anchor a lunch hook. I bought a boat once with a lightweight anchor and only 10 feet of chain and it dragged all over if there was any meaningful wind. A good amount of chain is almost more important than the anchor.

Thursday no longer exists, it's been renamed QDay. Great video as always. S2's are great boats, they also made Tiara brand of powerboats which are very high-end. The S2 9.2C is an acquired taste..it's tough to create a walkthrough CC at 30 feet. I believe that the S9.2C claim to fame was being the smallest sailboat with a bathtub! $16k is an amazing deal. It Will not last long. Thanks, Capt'n and Randee!~

The late Prince Philip, David Niven and Peter Ustinov used to dine together every Thursday evening when they were all in London. The dinner would take place in one of their private clubs and apparently, many amusing tales were told. Much drink was drunk and so far as I know. No confidences were ever broken. This weekly event was called The Thursday Club and the idea behind it, was to celebrate the end of the week spent pleasurably, prior to the working week which by agreement started on Friday at some undetermined point and ended on Friday evening. I'm guessing that these dinners occurred after the war, when all concerned felt that they deserved to take it easy for a bit, having served in various highly dangerous theatres of war.
Because I'm a few time zones ahead of the East Coast and currently single, I often plan a pleasant dinner, accompanied with a decent bottle of French red for around the time Captain Q and Ran-day appear on YT on a Thursday evening.
Being semi-retired and although without quite such a distinguished record of service in uniform, I've never-the-less decided to adopt the practice of The Thursday Club and am on the lookout for diners as entertaining as those above. However, Capt. Q & Ran-day are a hard act to beat! ;)

I’ve only seen the prince on tv , I have read David Nivens memoirs which are fantastic and revealing and I spent 6 hours in first class transatlantic flight with Ustinov who proved to be Totally uncommunicative to the point of surliness. I vowed to never watch any of his work again. Of course he could not have known that HIS seat mate would someday 45 years later become the world re known Captain Q (Lol)
I like your Thursday club nonetheless

It’s actually CNG compressed natural gas not LNG. LNG is cryogenic.

G`day Captain and Ran-day well you guys have found another little gem, I love it!!! so well thought out, this is a BIg , little yacht, what a fantastic vessel to get someone with small family into the life of sailing/cruising. For this price I would buy it in heart beat, few things I`m not real keen on the carpet on walls and head liner , hard to see water coming into the yacht with that stuff, If it was mine I`d pull that out ,insulate it and paint it. The anchor was a tad small. How good was the access to the motor compared with last weeks boat,? Awesome to work on and get to. I`m guessing the tray was a support for the radar screen, and double up as a cocktail table when radar screen not mounted hahaha. Love you guys

Congratulations on getting a sponsor- probably a great product as well! The S2 is like the original mini cruiser, one could almost believe that perhaps your glasses were very slightly askew- making it seem like 3/4 scale, right? With all of that headroom (as well as bilge for those pesky H20 tanks- clean & used) it really does 'pass' as good cruiser! Clean hull, clean interior and a moderate entry price for the joys of sailing... Obviously, I need to get away from this channel- because, I looking for the darn checkbook again! Thank God my wife has hidden it from me! After last week's fight over whether we need a C & C 38 (she won!) my sore ego is afraid of yet another bruising! Some very tasty treats being served- Thank you!!!

I believe that thing is to hold RDF for electronic navigation back in the day. If remove it and put my VHF there.

Varnish all the interior wood along with removing that carpet and adding insulation and some nice wood or beadboard

Leon always made good boats. We have several smaller retractable keel S2s in our NNYC fleet.

that name rings a bell... perhaps we crossed paths with Shadowfax in the Smuttynose Regatta or other GMORA races...
