The Long Dark - Interloper 500 - Part 42

- Опубліковано 16 кві 2024
- After surviving The Long Dark for 500 Days on Stalker mode...it's time to try the same on Interloper. There will be no firearms, looted hatchets or knives. We must make our own defenses and tools in order to survive this self-imposed challenge. It's time to see if we achieve victory or die a horrible death like everyone else on Great Bear Island.

The Long Dark Interloper is the hardest mode in Sandbox mode (The other difficulties are Pilgrim, Voyager and Stalker). The game describes that this mode is "For expert players looking for the ultimate wilderness Survival challenge."
In The Long Dark Interloper difficulty, you start with the most minimal resources, supplies are very scarce and Wildlife is rare, but it is more dangerous
- Interloper was a new game difficulty, introduced in v.364.
- The world becomes more hostile to you as you play. Global temperature drops, wildlife and fuel resources become more scarce, and Blizzards become more frequent.
- Apart from the Hacksaw and Hammer, which spawn rarely in the world, you need to create all your own improvised tools (ex. Hatchets, Knives, etc.).
- The best Clothing and Food items do not spawn.
- Wolves are more rare, but also more deadly.
- Wildlife becomes more rare over time.
- There are no firearms in the world.

The intro. Is so iconic
had a betta fish when i was little, sadly got sick and passed away but i loved him when i had him, hopefully sashimi lives a happy life under your care!
i want you to know that as a fellow dayton guy, whenever i nap i watch your videos. thanks for giving me the best naps ever, been watching since ep 1, enjoyed everyone since
Hey accurize. It's your game and you try to entertain. Just play the way you want and people who are your fans will watch.
My kittens and I love this series. Na'la and Freya love the hunting parts best though, for obvious reasons 😂❤❤
Glad to satisfy their primal stalking urges.
@@Accurize2 They chase each other and more often than not they run into a wall. Thanks for the videos, they sorta keeps me sane 😂❤️❤️
Man, I absolutely love your videos! Keep it up! Finally caught up after watching every video 😂 Love ya!
Woo another one, time for my coffee ☕ and smoke. Soo chill,😊
Perfect upload timing three times in a row 👌
Whatever OBS setting you changed worked much better. Happy to see the happy fish, and happy to hear you're gonna take better care of yourself, at least till 100 days lol.
I find it very helpful to drop everything except a flare and maybe a weapon in a large pile, then you can carry several bags of meat at once.
Enjoying the series. I think you should consider using the notes option again to help you keep track of what resources you have at which locations .
I vote Yes on you turning off the option for sprains for ankles and wrist in the next playthrough. I know you did that in the past and I think it was a lot less stress for you.
Thanks for the update on the fish, glad to hear their life is improving.
love the vids keep it up man!
lol sashimi looks so happy in his clean home :)
The condition yoyo! Be careful
Yeeeeesss!!!!
Before you leave for trapper homestead, remember to leave your 2 pans at the camp office. and don't forget to harvest all that bear meat, and grab that wolf meat too if you wanted to, before it all despawns. yay dear pants! you have a nice gut pile now :) that wolf attack was super lucky. barely took any negative effects from it. nice to have that extra pelt.
The quality change really helped in the dark spaces.
29:15 the math is a little weird but I think it works out something like this:
Imagine that you started at 12pm. That's day 1. You've survived 0 days, 0 hours. Fast forward 14 hours. It's now 2am, on day 2, but you've still only survived 14 hours. It's just the way the days get rounded off.
So I suppose the real question, then, is are you going to try and go until it says you've survived 500 days, or until you're on day 500?
I love how no matter how far they keep expanding the map they keep mystery lake right in the middle so it is the best place to have your base
Don’t why it seems so calming to watch someone suffer in the game
Would love to see some Kingdom Come gameplay. That game blew me away, its a bit janky and indy feeling but the world is so immersive, every combat encounter really feels like life and death. The studio is annoucing thier new game tomorrow as well.
I wonder if they are doing another game in the same genre or something completely different.
they really aught to add a smoking mechanic to preserve food. its a shame to see all the meat languishing on the step. lol.
Love your vids sir, and thank you for your service.
The travois can navigate shallow hills, there's just a limit. Its worth using you just gotta be selective about it. Its great for hauling moose and bear meat back to your base, just navigate around the steeper hills. Also good for hauling fish from a ice hut- ice is perfectly flat after all
Glad to hear Fishimi isn't living in sewage anymore.
I'd love to see some Kingdom Come Deliverance in the future. I finally just started it recently and its great.
he look better thanks!
5:58 lol, that slalom is stupid.. what next rolls and front flips?
I'm not a fish snob I just always remember people saying it the other way.
"I'll make sure to watch my health."
Proceeds to drop to 1/4 health.
This is what we call a "pro Accurize move", ladies and gents.
Maybe if you would feed him your porch and pots wouldn’t be filled with ruined meat.
❤
You playing in 1440p, recording in 1440p, but rendering to 1080p with vegas?
Instead of just passing time to warm up it would have been more wise to use the time and harvest some of the meat while warming up.
56:56 - The long dark.. video.. XD
YT is so scuffed. I found this series when it had 9 episodes, binged them and subscribed. I've only now just got a notification, for this episode, 7 months later. Looks like I've got a lot of catching up to do.
lol @ Sashimi
please do another deadman run
So there are no firearms to be found in interloper version?
probably would have been more efficient instead of passing time to warm up in the first 20 minutes if you would have instead grabbed a bag and harvested half or whole bag
as soneone who has expierenced -35 and lower in real life
you want to do NOTHING
Why was there so much dead space at the end?
to match previous video duration xd
You have 10 minutes of black space playing at the end of the video.
I thought my app crashed or something😅
another day another sprain... thats the long dark...
since you have these spare and (at your cooking level) useless can openers: you could just scrap them for metal parts and repair your storm lantern. you may even make another arrow tip or fishing hook (dont recall which doesnt need a forge but just a workbench) especially after that wolf attack better safe then sorry with the storm lantern.
aaaaaaaaand another couple of sprains... i think thats the bad part about that cave: you are kinda prone to sprain your ankle...
that would be a neat addition... building up muscles and stuff. like the more time you spend with almost full weight in your bag you will get used to it and increase the threshold for beeing able to run while overloaded or stuff like that.
felt not tat productive for an episode but preparations are important i guess. looking forward to the next one. keep up the great work
Good idea on the can openers. Arrows are the ones that require the forge.
@@Accurize2 right the arrow heads... and you are good on those except you got for a moose
Man, that weather forecast was fucking wrong. 😅😂
