- The second clip associated with the Libby, Montana lesson plan explores the history of vermiculite mining in Libby and some of the uses that vermiculite had been put to in Libby and elsewhere. Earl Lovick is deposed during this video clip as well. Students should take notes on how mineworkers came to learn about the dangers of the asbestos-filled dust they had been breathing.
Born in Libby.....Worked in Libby 1976- 1984.......live in Lower Kootenai most of High School.......Myself...(Libby and USN exposure), my younger Brother, my Maternal Aunt....Asbestosis....My Mom, Stepfather, and his older Brother, My Mom's Mother and numerous other relatives.....deceased....Meso and other lung issues and cancers......perhaps there is a connection?....Ya Think?
Hi, when where you born and did you develop any Asbestos related illness such as mesothelioma?
How are you doing today?
born 1954...myself, some ARD and lung issues, but am cancer free....mostly neurological stuff that (wink, wink) might be related, but not one Doc will put that on paper, though many residents have similar stuff going on. Exposure to L/A and (USN) Shipboard asbestos could be factors, but can still hold a fishing pole. Youngest Brother @ about 40% lung function...still working, He says if he quits working...he's dead. I agree....@@LaserRifle
