Hello. Saw you recording a video the other day, thought about stopping to say hi but didn’t want to disturb you. Wanted to ask about your cars tires, how are they holding up after 30000 KM? The front tires on my aslvin were just about finished after 36000KM, but the rear still had about half their tread left. I just got all 4 of them replaced with Yokohama Blue Earth GS tires for 80K, I went with a thicker aspect ratio (sidewall) because the stock tires are too low profile and give a harsh ride (Went for 185-65-R15-92H instead of 185-55-R15-88V stock). The tires improve the ride quality and reduce road noise considerably. Secondly, i wanted to ask about the warranty claim process for Changan, your last video was about this. The rear door locks on my aslvin have stopped working, they do not work with the remote or the central locking button inside the car, you said it took over 1 month for the warranty claim process to be completed, I cannot wait this long as the door locks not working is a very dangerous problem, do you think there is a way to get the process done quickly? Lastly, do tell how your 35000KM oil change goes, when I went to Changan Islamabad for my 35000KM oil change they told me my car needed a new fuel filter and spark plugs as well, when I asked to inspect these parts myself they told me they couldn’t show them to me and I wasn’t allowed inside the work area, this made me suspicious so I refused the new spark plugs and reluctantly agreed to the new fuel filter. They wouldn’t even give me my old fuel filter back. Later when I got the plugs and the old filter checked from multiple mechanics, including my regular mechanic, they all said they were in perfect condition. The alsvin plugs are ceramic and are meant to last 120000 KMs. Changan Islamabad basically tried to scam me, so be aware of this. Thank you.
Oh! Hi! How are you? Yaar! You should have stopped by. I would have loved it 🙂 Anyways, next time you see me doing ehat so ever, do stop by ❤️ Talking about the tyres, I changed all 4 when my car was at 15000 kms. Reason was very much simple and i.e. one of my tyre got a bubble on it while I was traveling to Lahore via GT Road. Warranty claim could not be processed and single Brand New tyre from the dealership was costing me 26k. So, I checked the after market and found a complete set in the same price (500-700 kms used). As per today, the replaced tyres have run for around 15k kms. Let's see what they do when they touch 35-36k kms.
Talking about the warranty claim, yes, it took me around 2 months to get through but I would suggest you to first get it checked by the dealership and see what they have to say. There might be a solution on spot.
Thirdly, regarding the Period Maintenance at 35k kms, for sure I would update you about my experience. To be honest, they do allow me to roam in their service area 😉 & even allow me to record 😁. Regarding Fuel Filter, it's the recommendation of the company to get it changed after every 10k Kms so yes, at 35k kms, if changed, don't worry about it at all. Regarding spark plugs, for me, they are as good as brake pads i.e. it depends on Vehicle to Vehicle and Driving Habit. Spark Plugs to tabeat Pure Petrol ki wajah say ho jati hai 😁 i.e. it depends kay Petrol kis quality ka & kahan say top up krwaya ja raha hai. So, Brake Pads & Spark Plugs, useage / quality of petrol par dependent hain. Company always tag the figures on optimum level.
Aoa. I have recently come across to a video suggesting that you have to get your car coolant completely changed if your Changan Alsvin crosses 30k. Did the dealership tell you anything similar?
