In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - Комедії
The juxtaposition of Mark and Nish's song, which I legitimately enjoy, with "Rosalind is a fucking nightmare" might be my favorite moment in all of Taskmaster history.
they did very confieniently not show Rosalind's face for that.
Completely agree, as Nish and Mark kept going I was more and more impressed, and had full confidence there was no way the others could even come close. Then they sang "Rosalind is a fucking nightmare" and I lost it.
As far as songs go I definitely liked Nish/marks song more but purely in comedy I'd say the second wins. But in my opinion... Was quite shit... I mean song wise... They are comedians so shit is the expected result when we ask them to be a singer. So it being funny was spot on. But yeah... Terrible song great joke. At least in my opinion.
Nish and mark legit surprised me with a fun upbeat song.
If I had to choose a song about me, I would choose the nightmare
@@pileotires honestly I've certainly heard worse songs with women's names in the title.
"Hopefully you are a woman as I'm just basing that on Emily and I'll be honest... I can't say for certain a man doesn't have that name and Avi to small and may not even be you so not even gonna try to pull it up...
I'm convinced that when Bob Mortimer starts a sentence, he has no idea how it's going to end.
Oh gezz that's funny as hell ty.
HAHAHA
"Do we strike you?"
Usually with piss and shit. Not a super funny dude tbh.
It would explain how he's so good at lying on "Would I Lie to You?".
Series 4 was a wholesome group of friends. Series 5 was a wholesome group of psychopaths who by the end felt like a family.
5 and 7 are both so great because neither season has a grounding player, just 10 complete lunatics.
Was just gonna say go watch 7 lmao. Same deal but the cast is more insane
I don’t know if I could’ve put it better myself
I'm going in order and 5 has been my absolute favorite. Everyone has had a moment to shine.
Sally surprised me because I really don't know any of the contestants any year so I read their Wikis and she does so much humanitarian work and it talks about her being a Christian, and half the show she's a psychopath. Like her hug with Alex was absolutely psycho funny.
@@LudaChez Sally is maybe my favorite player ever. She's insane and I love it.
Nish and Mark not getting 5 points for that Rosalind song is an injustice I just cannot get to terms with.
Usually on group tasks they split 5 points between the two groups, so if they had gotten 5 points the other 3 would have gotten 0 points. I think they didnt feel comfortable giving the other 3 0 or 1 point cuz they werent bad either. But Nish's and Mark's song was iconic for sure.
They had to give the win to them with 3-2 because it was heartfelt rather than hilariously destructive. But clearly, the far more memorable song is "Rosalind is a fucking nightmare" ... You don't see comedy like that often. Only made possible by how earnest and touching the previous song was, granted (imagine putting them in reverse order) ... but that was one for the record books. The judgment was made to avoid splitting the audience too much. I know which one I preferred, and we can all be happy with our choices while not feeling too miffed about the ultimately completely meaningless scoring.
@@dogchaser520 ROSALIND IS A FUCKING NIGHTMARE
They tried their best but it was never good enough
Agreed, though at this point they usually split the points in team tasks as 3-2 instead of 5-3 like they do in newer seasons, with the winning team only getting 5 if the losing team got disqualified or did really badly (i.e. the trio's bathtub task in series 4, Rob and Sara's charades in series 3 which I didn't actually know until watching it back now). But yeah it's ludicrous Wumar got as many points for that as Ed and David did for their infamous drawing live task.
Nish immediately breaking his egg is the best way to end this series for him.
"Ok I'm going to be clever here and throw it from the base up through the hoop.... here we SHIT IVE THROWN IT AT THE METAL"
I laughed so hard i woke up the kids.

"Aww, shit and piss"
*OH SHIT AND PISS*
Bob Mortimer seeing a woman sitting in a chair and instantly asking "Do we strike you?" somehow perfectly sums up both himself and the show.
What did he do?
@@ectomania Oh I was just talking about his sense of humor and the incredibly random nature of the show, and how it was humorous that his joke wasn't that far out of the realm of possibility.
@@DesecratedTTV ah sums up the show perfectly!
lmao I pissed myself when he said that
Yeah, he’s an real ass.
Nish’s line of “ I try my best but it’s never… Good enough” might be the most heartbreakingly accurate lyric of all time
Combined with him losing 1st place for the episode on the last task, so heartbreaking.
they actually made a banger xD i'm def impressed xD that chorus was some truth
Yooo that song was good!!!
Rosalind is an enigma. Her favorite music is Mozart and her favorite movie is the Hangover I love it 😂
@@natedole8276 haha what makes you think it's scripted?
She dosnt know what questions they will ask, or are you saying even the contestants questions are scripted? I'm confused haha
@@justingreen2432 haha
To be fair. Mozart would've loved the Hangover too.
Mozart was a famously crude person, so it checks out, the man wrote stuff like "Lick me in the arse nice and clean"
@@justingreen2432 I guess what they mean is that Rosalind's playing a character, so she has these fictional personality traits she's learned, so she doesn't know what they'll ask but she has answers ready. Yeah it seems like a lot of trouble to go to for no real result. The great pianist Martha Argerich would most like to have dinner with da Vinci or Jesus, and her favourite food is spaghetti bolognese. Not sure if that's a relevant fact, but it interested me.
The reveal of Alex Horne having been making Fish Puns throughout the entire series was amazing.
I thought it was just his accent
I also thought he just forgot how to speak sometimes
I guess that he did it just for the halibut.
I heard a few of them, like he had bad herring and the porpus one but was not aware of his entire plan
A porpoise isn't a fish.
I’m Always Seeing You (Do Cool Stuff) is one of the most lovely task completions in the history of this show.
It really was. It was an objectively good song in my opinion. I actually had to rewind just to listen to it again.
@@RobertPain.2 It's a very cute song, very well performed! Mark and Nish blew it out of the water. And to think the team of people it takes months to write most major pop songs. These guys did it in a snap.
For sure! They’re also rightfully proud of it. They’re such a sweet duo I think I got as emotional as Mark! Very happy for them!
@@curioushoodie The shot of them on stage, hugging each other, while Greg is grinning in astonishment, and the other team is giving them a standing ovation, and the audience is cheering; it's so unexpectedly moving.
Won't lie- got me a little misty eyed.
Bob completely wasting time asking Rosalind insane questions was such an insight into his brain.
Makes me think he immediately decided he wanted the song to be a diss track so he purposely asked questions hoping to get answers that would fit into his idea.
the others asked about facts, I think Bob tried to get her personality right
I love Bob, Sally, and Aisling laughing just before their song because Alex described Nish and Mark’s song as “affectionate” and the three of them know “Rosalind is a fucking nightmare” is coming up 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@benjaminbernard2942 Yeah, I won't argue! I started crushing on Aisling immediately and that kind of blinded me. 😆
Is no one going to talk about Nish's intro to their band?
"Diverse Stripes"
"Jack Brown"
"Sister-wife"
It's such an underrated joke and it's clear to see that Nish loves the White Stripes
The sister-wife thing took me a minute :D At first I thought that was a random joke
Don't have to love the band to understand a colour-based joke.
Good spot. Nish and Mark are a duo as well. One plays guitar, the other drums.
I've only listened to a couple of their songs, but I still fully got those references. That intro really undersold how well they did LoL
@@smellslikelayne Jack White basically introduced them as a brother and sister duo when they're actually ex husband and wife (Jack took his ex's lastname cause it sounds cool)
The bit with Greg opening the show by spouting tons of random phrases, and then Alex commenting "I've lost my phrasebook" was an underrated joke.
There was also
Nish: You can't rush genius!
Alex: Hurry up...
I can't decide if my favorite part of this series was
1) Everything Sally ever did or
2) Nish's little pep talk from the TM after that horrible Sudoku film
Sally. I love how weird she is because you just wouldn't expect it
My favourite part was 3) all of the above, plus everything else. 😄
That pep talk is gold.
I watched the 'Pep Talk' easily half a dozen times laughing 😄
Nish should commit sudoku after that display.

"Fuck it. I'll fill his boat with piss" is an understated highlight of this episode
I know it's usually 3/2 for team tasks, but considering that Mark and Nish's song is one of the only times Greg has had nothing negative to say about a task attempt, the fact that they didn't get 5 points each is honestly a huge injustice, especially since Nish was closer than ever before to finally winning an episode
Nish would have still been one point behind Sally. Although he actually lost episode 2 to Sally by one point
@@iliketrains3495 Nish got 14 points at the end while Sally had 17. That means if the task was 5/0 instead of the 3/2, Nish would have gotten a +4 point differential on Sally and would have won the episode with 16 points vs Sally's 15
@@kinghotdog9885 but it would have been completely unfair to give the trio 0 points since their song was very good for entertainment value, it should have been split 5-3.

The number of fish puns Sally can come up with spontaneously in a minute without any warning or preparation is pretty amazing.

I would like to see all the series losers in a separate series like a redemption for the taskmaster
I would watch the heck out of that.
But it would also determine the absolute worst contestant. Imagine being one. I guess only Nish could handle it with a light heart
I suggested this in another video. Would love to see Nish back doing things in his Nish way.

I was hyped up, Nish was in the lead, I thought this was his moment to shine. He then heard the whistle and immediately proceeded to chuck the egg right at the hoop, shattering it just as he did my hopes. The only way he could have lost faster was throwing it straight down.
Three things:

Amazing how many people her are commenting about Nish's graph being wrong. The fact that we're generally labeling axes from left to right and bottom to top is pure convention and not a rule or law. Lol, ‘generally labelling axes’ sure, but maths do not ever just generally label the axes of a graph.
@@kenampersandm axes is plural of axis.
Crazy Robots my attempt at a pun lol guess it was a bad one
Maybe it’s more time spent with Nish. More negative fun you get.
Just turn the camera around and it’s fine.
It’s a perspective issue, nothing wrong with the graph itself.
"I was looking into purchasing... GALLONS of piss" I just lost it there XD Bob Mortimer is an absolute genius. Anything can happen with him.
Did anyone else tear up hearing Mark and Nish's song? I still think they deserved 5 points for it. I love the bromance between these two so much.
If you are here to see Jack Brown and Mark sing it's at 31:40.
Anyone seeing that performance will be blown away. I 100% guarantee it.
@@sasikumarrajenthran4468 I absolutely loved that part. They're just lovely.
When is their album coming out? I can't wait!
@@sharilynb9951 it should be called "Gu Gu GOOD EVENING LONDON"
I may just be in love with Mark. I want to take care of this heron man and protect him from the big bad world. I also want to brush his hair and feed him raisins.
all the while he takes you to a lovely riverbank and googles "how to cuddle" Honestly not a bad arrangement!
I feel the same
Agreed. So glad he won this initial task; his ideas have all been phenomenal. He really should have won the one where he stole Greg's trousers to be fair. Also, I have developed a crush on Alex; that was easy enough. ;)
Lmao😂
Same here. He seems to activate our protective instincts.
I wish they pointed out Mark and Nish even put out a tip jar during their song.
This was such a fantastic series; Aisling's raw Irish energy, Nish and Mark's friendship and their respective performances alternating between shit and absolute genius (sometimes accidental), Bob's class and psychopathic tendencies, and Sally being ummm well I must admit I have a crush. This group was lightning in a bottle.
The most british audience of all time "Hello Great Britain!" "Hello" "How are you all feeling out there!" "We're all fine, thank you"
Aisling laughing the entire time during Bob’s piss explanation is killing me 😂
Nish had me going thinking he was going to finish strong and then the egg thing happened lmao
"Today's prize category is the most awkward item for somebody else to take home"
Once again, Romesh's wedding ring would be the perfect prize
Bob should have brought in his son... Then declared him as missing as Sally left with him. THAT would be awkward.
Or Josh Widdicombe’s tattoo of the name Greg (would be awkward, considering it’s on Josh’s foot).
"On this light entertainment show, what you've produced is a graph that depicts the pointlessness of democracy" - only Mark Watson. My favourite ever contestant
he should've won though, since he made the biggest graph
Can someone explain the graph? There is no line, and the x axis is letters.
@@q-tuber7034 it's a bar graph
@@yourmum69_420 Thank you! And then the letters will be British political parties, Conservative, Labor, Liberal Democrats, Green…
@@q-tuber7034 yep
Oh my goodness, the end was so wholesome how they all hugged and then got in a circle and just started reminiscing with Bob! It didn't feel like one contestant had won this season, it felt like a family had won and were proud of each other. It really makes me miss my group of friends--my family--who are all gone their separate ways and off to college.
Dang it, Taskmaster, I never thought I'd feel so many emotions after watching a series finale of a comedy game show of all things! ;-;
This was a really sweet series.
They do have a post-show orgy to look forward to.
The fact that, that masterpiece of a song ended up getting only 3 points really upsets me
Nish's laugh makes me so happy. But his hug with Mark after that song literally made me cry. I love this show.
For people that want more of Bob Mortimer, you should check his stories on WILTY. What a fantastic bloke
Like fingerprints on an abandoned handrail... Is not how I would describe Bob on WILTY because I can never forget his stories.
We do beg your pardon...
A sniper's dream
Ashley Orage Can you please get off of my property?
Ashley Orage we’re in your garden
This group of contestants are the absolute most supportive of each other than any other group. They’re all excited when one another are doing well.
I think out of all the seasons, this cast feels the most like family. Like they all legitimately love each other and support each other. That group hug at the end??
I can't be the only one that fell hopelessly in love with Sally in this series. This episode is just amazing the songs were phenomenal. Bob is a treasure.
She’s a gorgeous, sex crazed maniac and I love her for it. Count me among the fold.
Most awkward item to bring home? Someone could have brought Jon Richardson.
I like the way you think.
I'm pretty sure he would also fit in a bag.
@@Myzelfa Fair point
@@Myzelfa Jon Richardson in your bag might even be more awkward than normal
But then once you got him home he would tidy up everything.
From across the pond- Dear God THANK YOU for posting this here on UA-cam!
Personal curiosity: did you know any of the people on this show before you watched it?
@@neil3539 I can reply as someone from the states: I knew about Joe Wilkinson, Jon Richardson, Hugh Dennis, and James Acaster to name a few.
@@neil3539 I'm American. I only knew the cats vs countdown people.
@@neil3539 I'm watching from germany and I've only ever heard of Noel before. Loved them all!
@@anthonyacetta1551 "cats vs countdown" lmao
Bob and his graph is one of the funniest things ever, including everyone ELSE'S reaction as they die laughing.
I’ve always had a soft spot for awkward nerdy guys, and Mark’s genuine grin followed by deep blush is too adorable for words
