Just watching the gameplay footage, this is one game where I have no clue how they made it, imagine making this where you seamlessly jump from 2d to 3d, or have 2D gameplay in 3D area, etc. All games are hard to make, but with most games, I somewhat get how its made, this one is on another level.
I've never even heard of the game until everyone started talking about the game yesterday so I decided to check out your review and I have to say, this looks so much fun! It kind of reminds me of Zelda A Link Between Worlds with a few extra steps. Also, congrats on the ten years of your channel!
No. Not even remotely. This is a game made from weak minded human beings with no ambitions and wives who control their every move. I don’t support weakness and useless video games that are atrocious in 2024.
@@PainIsBetterThanHate you been on UA-cam 6 days and this is what you want to do? Go find something better to do with your time dude. Chill. Can't tell if you're a bot or not, acting like a fool.
It's been a good 10 years mate! You continue to show games I wouldn't have looked into otherwise and reviews that never compromise. Keep up the good work and may God bless you, your family, and your future work.
This game deserves a 10/10 score for me! The fresh new approach to combining story telling, 2d, 3d will keep you glued to the game. Looking forward to Plucky Squire 2!
If you're a fan of the word puzzles in Plucky Squire I highly recommend Baba Is You. It's literally a whole game of word puzzles. Things change as you rearrange words. Super clever. Give it a look.
Maaaaaan, with how this game visually presents itself, I'm not too surprised that the game also has good pacing, but I really wanted it to be able to keep me on my toes and make me think. More complexity in combat and puzzles would have drawn me in. I really like the 2-d storybook art style as well, top tier.
Bought the physical on ps5 scheduled next year and a copy on steam. This just like astro bot is the reason why i game for over 30 years. Just pure joy and fun. No mtx battle pass live service fuckery. Nintendo level awe and fun. Let's go! ❤️
This has the same kind of charm that Astro Bot had for me. I could see myself playing this charming creation on my own, but even more with my kids. It's going on my purchase list pronto. Thanks for another great review and sheding some light on this title.
The visual style and art directon alone, are enough to warrant a purchase. I absolutely love the storybook aesthetic. The game seems like a blast to play, which is the cherry on top, so to speak. Thanks, Karak! As always, I appreciate the hard work, unbiased, and detailed review! Keep it up! God bless and stay safe!
Congrats on 10 years! Haven't herd of this game until now. Added to my Steam wishlist. 2024 may not be the year of AAA bangers (except Wukong) so I love seeing smaller games like this. The 3D to 2D transitions gives me strong Mario Odyssey vibes. Games like this make me wish we got a Puppeteer remake which is insanley underated
This game looks so unique and it does remind me of Zelda A Link Between Worlds in terms of the switching, but looking at the gameplay it seems like it has its own clever puzzles. Cannot wait to try it out!
The physical edition doesn’t come out till next year ! This game reminds me of a game on Vita called Tearaway. Looks very fun…but the long wait till it’s out physically 😂
I can't even imagine children finding this game engaging. Is there anything more frustrating than a 'game' that stops every three frickin' seconds so the characters can chirp at each other? Play Cat Quest III if you want a chill and cute adventure, at least you get to actually PLAY the game instead of constantly have to endure meaningless drivel.
It would be really cool if a game like this let you voice act it yourself. Like actually record lines for it and have a way to easily share your dialogue.
I hope Nintendo will take inspiration from this game for a new Paper Mario in the future, or even a Yoshi game that mixes 2D paper design, origami, the yarn craft look and 3D together.
13:10 That's a point well taken - some jokes go over the young kids' heads, but that seems like it's similar to a parent taking their young kid to a movie and a joke going over their head. That joke or reference is for us, watching alongside them.
Enjoyed the hell out of it.

@ACGreviews maybe this game experimental and looks perfect as an experiment not saying has no flaws, but just an experiment did well.
This game just a experiment
I have the feeling I am going to love this just as much as I did the game Tinykin!
Congrats on the 10 years man, that's fantastic.
The blood donation line was not something I ever thought of. 😂 Karak you're crazy. Another good review. I was waiting on this one.
Yeah that CAUGHT me like damn son, wtf? XD
red blood cells only live 4 months tops in the body though and then break down.
I had to replay this a few times to make sure I heard it right.
Congrats on 10 years!!! Game looks interesting
Here's a concept: games should be fun. I can't wait to play this.
The visuals alone had me, great to hear it’s a fun play too!

14:42 ...that analogy sure came out of nowhere.
For real..I had to pause the video..😂
I was looking for this comment lol
The wonderful possibilities of reviewing a kids game while being unsponsored :P

You’ve been helping me make informed game purchases for the past six years. Congrats on 10 yrs and looking forward to many many more of ACG
This game is like a culmination of what we as children would imagine a video game be if were at that age and making it up on our heads

Devolver knows how to pick 'em. Glad to see this game is good. I'll pick it up eventually.
That last sentence is the most relatable thing I've ever read
I love how the sword is a fountain pen nib. Such a great detail that leans into the creative aspect of the story.
This somehow reminds me of Tinykin, one of my most beloved gaming surprises
Great review! Wasn't aware of this one. You got me very interested now!!
I'm that one guy that mainly plays hardcore bloody fast paced games this here got me feeling nostalgic and kinda brings out the kid in my heart again.
That blood donation joke. Just wow lol
I'm all in with this one! Grabbing this today!

ACG casually leaking out his blood donation habits
When the iPad introduced interactive stories almost 13 years ago this is what I imagined they would be like. Thanks for the review!
I knew you'd cover this one! Looks great!
Happy 10 years, I hope you continue to love what you do
The only review you need 👌🏻
Congratz on your 10th year 🏆

I was immediately interested in this game from the moment I saw the gameplay trailer. Looks like a very unique game
This game looks ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!! This is the type of originality and charm we got to support, I hope this game does well 👌🏾

Reminds me of RPG Time: The Legend of Wright. 😁
Definitely going to buy this. Thanks for the review and congratulations on 10 years unsponsored!
Thanks for the review it’s always a pleasure to have some game that pops up to be shared with the kids.
i should imagine you're looking forward to the release of UFO 50!! I'm guessing that game will blow you away...
A Toy Commander shoutout?? Hell yea dude I love that game! Played the heck out of that on my Dreamcast back in the day.
The Pharell Lego Movie got me 😂 always love your reviews. Thanks, as always, for all of the time you put into these for us!
grats on the 10 years of reviews! This game looks insanely unique and fun, Im definitely picking this up.

So I absolutely love your vids but did anyone else notice the edit at 3:22 it’s hilarious. Again love the vids dude your the best reviewer on UA-cam
was it a deliberate in joke or something? I'm just not getting what makes it hilarious?
@@WOOOPdoctorFROGhere no clue.
I had no idea this existed until today. Looks absolutely delightful!

SO glad you reviewed this!
Almost reminded of Tinykin
First few seconds of the video and I'm buying it already
so glad this came out well. I have been really interested in this since the reveal trailer as the art looks absolutely gorgeous
Thanks for the review. Can't wait to play and thanks for everything you do @ACG!
This, Space Marines 2 and Astro Bot are all I need for a little while.
This game looks so unique and it does remind me of Zelda A Link Between Worlds in terms of the switching, but looking at the gameplay it seems like it has its own clever puzzles. Cannot wait to try it out!
Congratulations on the 10 years!!🎉
I thought this was going to be a great value brand paper mario, but I was way wrong.
I've been excited for this one since the initial reveal. I can't wait to play it. Thanks for the great review
Happy 10 years! Your content is a must-see for me.
Almost home to buy this and start. Stoked.
The looks alone sold me
Bought it already! Can’t wait to dive into the game Thursday on my day off
Thanks ACG!
What a beautiful game! The art style really is gorgeous! Thank you for 10 years of excellence and let's go for the next 10!
Acg 10 years later and still loving it man keep it up...PS how is Abssii doing?
The presentation and genre-shifts makes me think of "It Takes Two", which is an amazing co-op game. I might pick this up :D
10 years, crazy. Congrats Karak!
Congratulations on 10 years!! 🎉
The goat of reviews as usual
Great detailed review. Thank you.
It would have been very disappointing if something that looked this cool didn't live up to the appearance, but I'm glad it apparently does.
Looks absolutely amazing it makes me cry of joy
Been looking forward to this!
I'm downloading it right now and my daughter called dibs. 😅
Just a small correction the game is $29.99 in the US not sure what the price is in other regions.
The physical edition doesn’t come out till next year ! This game reminds me of a game on Vita called Tearaway. Looks very fun…but the long wait till it’s out physically 😂

Congrats on 10 years man
You paint dnd? You're a bigger nerd than me! That's awesome!
He likes Marvel Champions, too!
Happy 10th year! This is an indie I've been excited for and it comes out on my birthday
Dude fucking Benedict last action hero, my favorite action flick of all time, thanks for the name drop hahaha
It would be really cool if a game like this let you voice act it yourself. Like actually record lines for it and have a way to easily share your dialogue.
This game looks awesome! Especially for us who have gamed since the nes days. Mtg reference too, I’m sold!!!
Congrats on ten years!
I hope Nintendo will take inspiration from this game for a new Paper Mario in the future, or even a Yoshi game that mixes 2D paper design, origami, the yarn craft look and 3D together.
The 10 year gift is the GI Joe home video 😂
My most anticipated release of the year :D
Currently free on PS5, gonna give it a go
Been waiting for this one since the first trailer!
This is the first I’ve seen or heard of this game and I am SOLD!
Toy Commander man they need to bring that back

im so sad there was no xbox physical for this
The G.I . Joe kid story is from the Movie "The Boy Who can Fly".😊
It is funny. I watch your reviews even for games I'm interested in just because I enjoy the channel.
Day 1 Buy.
This coming out right after I finished Astro Bot is perfect timing. More cute gaming in my future.
The art style reminds me of a mix between the stories by Dr. Seuss and the Peanuts comics.
ordered it and whilst I was at it I ended up buying the EDGE magazine with the plucky squire storybook foldout cover on ebay
Ive been excited for this, glad to hear it turned out well! Day one on ps plus for me and pre ordering the deluxe physical for switch!
People tell me I look like a Viking, and I can’t wait to play this.
As a freebie on PSPlus I'll have to check it out
woah. that blood comment tripped me out
What a creative and brilliant looking game.
not often do i have a smile on my face while playing games this one triggered the kid in me :)
You review this game but not lollipop chainsaw remaster? Dang
