great kit , yamaha always the best quality instruments, nice laquer drum kit.... but I prefer a tama silverstar with birch selected , stain wood interior , and the star mount system. Same price I Think. Greetings from Mexico....

Years ago use to play professionally....touring and recording with different bands....Just got burnt out eventually! Now just wanna play for the enjoyment of playing drums as my passion, not a full time job. Hey, great Yamaha Kit and the finish you chose! Is that the Cranberry Red Birch? And that’s the Stage Custom Birch, right? Great configuration you got there....Additional 16” Floor Tom to complete your kit! And your bass drum, is that the 20”? Perfect size for doing some studio recording.too.
The 16 is an 8 lug correct

Definitely do it man. I think I prefer higher just because it’s closer and I would use it more.

I actually heavily considered a silverstar as well. I’ve heard great things about the mount system
The toms on this kit sound enormous. Is this kit underpriced for the sound? It sure sounds like it might be.
